This episode is deeply personal and, honestly, I’m still processing it... Over the weekend, I heard Jesse and Ashley Ridgway’s story about their pregnancy, an unexpected Trisomy 21 diagnosis, and the heartbreaking decision that followed. It hit especially close to home because of the years I’ve spent volunteering with families who received the same news they did, and who have shown me the beauty, strength, and miracles on the other side of it. My heart is absolutely shattered for them, and my hope is that this conversation opens your mind, softens your heart, and helps you see that even the news you never wanted can still become a display of God’s greatest works.

There was an extra long season in my life, where I really believed I needed to be a certain size (and shape and weight) to be worthy of being loved.
