    King Solomon's Reign in Israel

I found this very helpful timeline visual that really helped me see who reigned when, and where.    If this is your first time listening to the SheHasFaith Podcast, WELCOME! Episode 16: Final Reading of First Chronicles

Welcome back to the She Has Faith podcast!!   I am overjoyed to be kicking off 2025 continuing to read the bible together! This week's episode is finishing First Chronicles.    We read a great recap of so many stories in the bible that we've read. It is such a beautiful reminder of the story we've read so far. I also love the psalm of Thanksgiving in Chapter 16. My favorite verse is 21 "Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, saying, "do not touch my anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm". This shows God's protection and love for us!   If this is your first time listening to the SheHasFaith Podcast, WELCOME! Lets wrap up 2nd Kings together

Hi guys! Welcome to week 15 of the She Has Faith Podcast, where together we're reading the bible in one year. I am loving this journey with you and I hope that you are, too!    This week's episode is a little different... in the sense that it is only 8 minutes long. The book of 2nd Kings tells the stories of 20 Kings... 20! If I shared all 20 stories with you that would be such a long podcast episode and I would for sure lose some of you. So as the host of this podcast, I chose to make it super short instead and share 4 impactful stores that tell about the events in 2nd Kings.    Whether you're driving, doing laundry or curled up with a cup of coffee - I am so glad you're here to spend 8 minutes with God with me!    If you're enjoying this podcast (& I hope you are!) please either follow or like wherever you listen to your podcasts. It truly helps this podcast grow to reach more people looking to grow in their faith.    If you want to follow along in the book, we're using the The Bible in a Year from Lauren Ibach. No worries if not, I will guide you through each Chapter during this podcast. Episode 13: We're 25% of the way through the bible

Welcome to week 13, which means we are already 25% of the way through the bible. Time is flying by!    This week we really learned about loyalty - family loyalty, loyalty to your parents and most importantly loyalty to God.    I saw something on Pinterest this week that said from the book of Joshua to the book of Esther is all about history. We're smack dab in the middle of that! So we'll be spending the next few weeks on the history of Israel and the history of God's relationship with mankind.    Come spend 24 minutes with God with me! Episode 12: David is victorious with God

Welcome to week 12 - where we spend time reading about David and Saul's battles and how David continues to be victorious with God.    The main lesson I took away from this week was truly seeking God. David sought God's direction with everything. And it is because of that, I truly believe, that David was victorious!    Come spend 24 minutes with God with me!    If you're enjoying this podcast (& I hope you are!) please either follow or like wherever you listen to your podcasts. Episode 11: Ruth's Character + David and Goliath

Welcome to week 11 - where we get to read about the loyalty of Ruth and the bravery of David.    This week we read all of the book of Ruth, which is only 4 chapters so that was an easy read! I love the story of Ruth and reading about her loyalty, her hardworking nature and just her overall character. Definitely a woman to admire!  We also read the first 17 chapters of 1 Samuel and learn the full story of David and Goliath.    Come spend 24 minutes with God with me!    If you're enjoying this podcast (& I hope you are!) please either follow or like wherever you listen to your podcasts. Episode 10: The people stop believe in God

Get ready for a rollercoaster, whiplash book in the bible!    Last week, 7 days ago, we celebrated the people of Israel coming into the promise land of Canaan. However, this week we read the full book of Judges and boy oh boy do things change.   The people of Israel switch between believing in God and not believing in God quicker than a green light changes red!    Come spend the next 25 minutes with me as we read about the 6 Major Judges in the book of Judges in the bible.    Come join me over on the She Has Faith Podcast for week 9 as we cross over the Jordan river with the people of Israel and take their territories. The website 2belikeChrist has a beautiful image of how the territories were divided up. You can find it HERE!        If you're enjoying this podcast (& I hope you are!) please either follow or like wherever you listen to your podcasts. Episode 9: Israel crosses into the promise land

We're here! We made it! The people of Israel cross into the promise land from God THIS WEEK!    Chapter 2 kicks off with a familiar scenario of Joshua sending men into Jericho to spy on the land. However, it goes much differently this time!    We also read the back story of the well known bible verse, Joshua 24:15 "For me and my house, we will serve the Lord". I love learning the back stories of verses. This verse is saying so much more than my house serves the Lord. It also says my house will ONLY serve the Lord of our God. 11. 8

Episode 8: Final Book of Moses

We begin this week with Deuteronomy Chapter 12 vs 1 "These are the statutes and judgements which you shall be careful to observe in the land which the Lord God of your fathers is giving to you to possesses, all the days that you may live on the earth"   Deuteronomy is the fifth and final book of Moses. That means we're about to enter into the season of the bible where the people of Israel cross into Canaan.    Finishing Deuteronomy had wonderful moments, funny moments and sad moments. We read about Moses passing away at 120 years old.    If you're enjoying this podcast (& I hope you are!) please either follow or like wherever you listen to your podcasts. 12. 7

Episode 7: "I am the Lord your God"

God said, through Moses, in Deuteronomy Chapter 5 vs. 6 "I am the Lord your God"   Welcome to week 7, you guys! Happy Wednesday!    This week is also huge because the podcast's official launch day is today! I am so excited! All of you who are new here - WELCOME, WELCOME, WELCOME!    This week we got to learn about the people of Israel preparing to go into the promise land. As a reminder, due to their defiance of God they had to stay in the wilderness for 40 years. We're finally at the end of that waiting period and the people are Israel are preparing to go into Canaan!    We also started Deuteronomy this week. Which, I am really excited to be reading this book in the Bible. I have so many bible verses from Deuteronomy highlighted. And sometimes (at least for me) I don't always have the full back story to the bible verses that I know. But, that is what this podcast is for. TOGETHER we will learn it all!    If you're enjoying this podcast (& I hope you are!) please either follow or like wherever you listen to your podcasts. 13. 6

    Episode 6: Beginning in Numbers

Okay, I'm going to be super honest with you guys - week 6 of 52 was challenging for me to read. Not only did we learn about the numbers of people within the children of Israel, we also read about God's anger and the punishments he brought to the people of Israel.    Because sin entered our world so early on, there is sin in so much of what we read. God wanted the people of Israel to follow him, trust him, listen to him so badly and they didn't or when they flat out went against Him - he brought his anger down and we learn about the punishments.    I encourage you, especially if this is your first time reading the bible, to hang on and remember all the glory we've already read and all the glory we will continue to read together. As challenging as this week was, I also really loved it because I feel like I got to know God's character and what He seeks from us.    Numbers 6:24-26 is a bible verse that inspired one of my favorite worship songs! The Blessing by Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes. You can listen to it on YouTube HERE. This is a perfect song to drive to, enjoy during your bible study or during time you're wanting to connect with God more.    If you're enjoying this podcast (& I hope you are!) please either follow or like wherever you listen to your podcasts. 14. 5

Episode 5: Wrapping up the laws and regulations from God

We wrap up the laws, regulations and instructions from God this week.  Week 5 of 52 continued focusing on the laws, rules and instructions from God. We learned about the four types of sin offerings, all about Aaron becoming the first High Priest and the laws laid out by God.    I love how Moses, the author of Leviticus, closes this book in the bible. He says in Leviticus Chapter 27 vs 34, "these are the commandments which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel on Mount Sinai.". This is Moses reminding us that everything we just read is all the commandments coming from God.    While some of this reading may have felt slow or repetitious at times, it is important for our journey of reading the full bible together to truly understand each chapter in the bible. So, thank you so much for hanging in there with me. I also want to give credit to 2belikechrist.com and bibleproject.com for their help with understanding these chapters a bit further this week.    If you're enjoying this podcast (& I hope you are!) please either follow or like wherever you listen to your podcasts. 15. 4

    Episode4: The Laws from God

We wrap up Exodus and begin Leviticus this week!    Week 4 of 52 focuses on the laws, rules and instructions from God.  God spends a good amount of time with Moses telling him the laws and instructions. God also instructs his people, the children of Israel, to build a tabernacle. The tabernacle was a mobile place of worship. This was where the people could go to be with God and God could be with the people. So much detail went into the tabernacle!   We also continue reading about how when we have an intimate relationship with God we receive direction, instruction and guidance from God.    What I also loved about this week is that we read in Exodus about the breaking of the ten commandments tablet. Growing up, my parents had a piece of deco in their home that was a stone tablet of the ten commandments. There was a gigantic crack down the center of it. I guess I always thought it was just part of the decor. However, this week read in Exodus that actually that crack was from Moses. He was so angry when he came down from Mount Sinai because the children of Israel were worshiping a golden calf vs. God. He was so angry that he snapped the tablet in half. I am loving all that I am learning while reading the bible. I hope that you are, too!    If you want to follow along in the book, we're using the The Bible in a Year from Lauren Ibach. No worries if not, I will guide you through each Chapter during this podcast. 16. 3

    Episode 3:Wrapping up Genesis

During week 3 together, we not only are wrapping up the book of Genesis but we are also kicking off the book of Exodus!  Exodus has 40 chapters and we read the first 20 together this week!  During week 3, we get to see beautiful examples of perseverance, following God even when it feels difficult or unsure and the amazingness that comes with following God. I have heard of Moses my entire life being raised a Christian. But I think this is the first time I sat down and read his story with so much attention to detail. It didn't matter how difficult the ask was from God, Moses listened and obeyed. And because of this, Moses brought the people of Israel out of Egypt and out of the slavery.  Even though this story was exciting, the reading of Exodus and the 10 plagues that God brought down was a slow read and a little difficult at times. But I think that is normal and I just know there will be times that we can't put the bible down because it is so interesting to read. So, if you felt like this week was slow - you're not alone! And that is why we're doing this together!   If you want to follow along in the book, we're using the The Bible in a Year from Lauren Ibach. No worries if not, I will guide you through each Chapter during this podcast. Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss any episode and follow our Instagram, @SheHasFaithPodcast, for more content!  - Amanda

  17. 2

    Episode 2: Genesis 25 - 47

Genesis 26:24 says "Do not be afraid, for I am with you and I will bless you". We learn about so many of God's blessings in week 2 of our reading the bible in a year journey. We also learn about some family drama between Esau and Jacob.  What I loved the most during this week's readings is the reminder of how God calls us to act as Christians. And he calls us to forgive, even when those we love wrong us.  If you want to follow along in the book, we're using the The Bible in a Year from Lauren Ibach. No worries if not, I will guide you through each Chapter.  Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss any episode and follow our Instagram, @SheHasFaithPodcast, for more content!  - Amanda

  18. 1

    Episode 1: Genesis Chapters 1 - 24

Genesis 1:3 "And God said, 'Let there be light', and there was light. The first book in the bible in Genesis. Genesis introduces us to life on Earth, all created by God and in His image. Genesis is also the first stories on people on Earth. We read about Adam & Eve, Noah, Abraham, Lot and Isaac. We read about God's first promises to man (that He keeps even today!) and that when we have a close relationship with God we too receive guidance and direction from Him.  Episode 1 kicks off our journey of reading the Bible together in one year. Every Wednesday a new episode will be available walking you through new chapters in the Bible. Together, we will read the Bible in 52 podcast episodes. We're just getting started!  If you want to follow along in the book, we're using the The Bible in a Year from Lauren Ibach. No worries if not, I will guide you through each Chapter.  Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss any episode and follow our Instagram, @SheHasFaithPodcast, for more content!  - Amanda
