Kevin and Wind propose the original Seattle explosion of the late '80s and early '90s evolved into a more polished, radio-friendly sound. As one of the founding fathers of grunge Kevin has a unique and personal perspective. Many fans reject the term because they believe grunge wasn't just a style of music—it was a specific place, time, and community centered in Seattle. In that view, you can't recreate grunge any more than you can recreate Woodstock. Some argue that while the movement ended, the sound never did. Is grunge really dead? That depends on who you ask. If you define grunge as Seattle between 1985 and 1994, then yes. It ended with the loss of key musicians, changing record labels, and the music industry's shift toward new trends. But if you define it as an attitude and musical language, many bands are still carrying that torch.
