Working as an extra, along with my son, on Tom Hanks' directorial debut 'That Thing You Do' is one of those things I'll never forget. Sharing that memory with you here.

Ordering Robert DeNiro's lunch was one of many different little jobs I did working as an assistant production coordinator on Tales from the Crypt in the late 1980's Did I have anything to do with DeNiro coming to be the cofounder of Nobu? I doubt it but I like to think so!

Working my way through college, selling cosmetics at the Drug Store, I learned a few things about myself. What I wanted. And what I didn't.

Back in the day a girl could work her way through college with a job selling cosmetics at the drug store. Those were the days, my friend. The 1970's.

Last part of Derek stories. Remembering coming together and coming apart with Derek, that boyfriend from the 70's, the places we went, the things we did, from driving in his GTO to spending a weekend in San Diego, going to Sea World when Sea World was still cool.

On Sunset is the 7th in the series about an old boyfriend—Derek—from the 1970's. We used to spend a lot of time cruising Santa Monica, looking for places to be alone, to make out, and who knows what else. One of our favorite drives was down Sunset to the beach and back.

Taking acting classes in the late eighties in Hollywood, going out with scene partners after class to The Improv in Hollywood, it was all so much easier than trying to decide should I go or should I stay in a longterm suffocating relationship. Making out in the front seat of my car didn't answer the question.
