I've been holding on to this for a while and I decided to let it go over this past weekend(6/13/14) on TefMan's radio show. This song was written without the usual method of 16 bars and a hook, more so just me speaking as if I was writing in a journal and getting things of my chest and out my mind. This is why I call them 'FreeWrites' its just me, a beat, a pen, and a pad and I write until the beat stops or my mind is clear. I try to make each one a little different and this is the 3rd in the collection if you haven't heard the first two there posted on this page as well but this one is more introspective and more conscious. Its gonna be on my upcoming project King Poetic EP dropping this summer which is not gonna be a mixtape but its too long to be considered an EP.

I won't lie this next mixtape is gonna have a bunch of rapping on it , I just love using words this way and its been a while so I wanted to showcase that with this project DLMGTB II (Dont Let Me Get That Beat II) is a continuation of the first one. I take some of my favorite industry tracks and find their instrumental and make them my own it would be a lie to say I dont try to outshine every artists song I did but all with respect to the competition that is hip-hop there still some of my favorite artists but you gotta strive to beat the greats if you wanna become great. This is a dope track I heard from BJ the Chicago Kid's album 'Pineapple Now & Laters' and I noticed there was a whole instrumental at the beginning. So I chose to add a verse speaking about the ghetto I grew up in from my perspective. This is one of my favorite verses just because it embodies the struggle so well and this track will be on DontLetMeGetThatBeat dropping April 28th. Share and leave a comment.

I got the beat from a mixtape by DJ Burn One that he put out and it was full of dope instrumentals i ended up using two of them for Nightmares. I used a rapid flow to express the stress I'm going thru right now trying to get noticed and stay true to myself and stay true to my friends.
