This one turned out very nicely, in my opinion. There is a nice mix of fast and slow, sweet and raunchy, hopeful and fucked. My Girl's Retro--great song. I think there is room to make it even greater by covering it as MY GIRL IS HETERO. Chixxdiggit! indeed A Girl Named Spike-- Mike Park and…

I have a couple of friends who are going to get married. I've been thinking about songs that would be nice for them to hear/play and also about songs that would be wrong. I never did anything about it. Finally, I sat down at my computer and opened up iTunes. I typed in "married" and selected some...

Side 4 of Snap! (The Jam's Greatest Hits) with art
I saw The Jam once, in 1982, at Perkin's Palace in Pasadena. It was great. The 3rd song here, "Town called Malice" is wonderful. I played the 2nd side of their last album, THE GIFT, over and over again to hear it. Most of the text on SNAP! is pretentious, but the photos are interesting. Enjoy!...

Bad Manners at Corona Showcase Theatre
Lorraine is the song. What a great show. I drove down to see the Sunday SoCal show in Corona. Dan told me the Fresno and Ventures shows suffered from a serious lack of fans, maybe 50 for each. At this one there were close to 200 people and while it wasn't sold out, it was nicely crowded. Monkey...
