Ashley has experience keeping hand score for basketball games, so she takes a crack at accounting the stats and at bats to pass the time for the great pastime. Ashley starts the show off just like most women who attend a baseball game with Nick, looking for an out beyond the score card, but as the show goes on she learns that her best plan of escape to keep it 400. Pat knows nil of either, and that's the last time you will hear any reference to soccer in regard to this podcast, as long as you disregard the homonymnal title. Welcome to the first episode of Slow Pitch. Nick Saverino (Nicky Savs) attempts to create a new baseball fan in Pat Sirous (Peezy, "Lie Cheat and Steal" podcast, "How Comedian Pat Fell in a Hole" TikTok virality). Nicky teaches Peezy of the 1983 Pine Tar incident in his piloted attempt to create a passionate baseball fan. We originally wanted to name this episode "New York Nicky Bockers" in reference to the first organized baseball team, but it had nothing to do with the actual episode other than it's the first episode. Most folks suggested that pitching your first episode with a title "too inside" baseball would brush back listeners.
