Welcome to the first episode of Slow Pitch. Nick Saverino (Nicky Savs) attempts to create a new baseball fan in Pat Sirous (Peezy, "Lie Cheat and Steal" podcast, "How Comedian Pat Fell in a Hole" TikTok virality). Nicky teaches Peezy of the 1983 Pine Tar incident in his piloted attempt to create a passionate baseball fan. We originally wanted to name this episode "New York Nicky Bockers" in reference to the first organized baseball team, but it had nothing to do with the actual episode other than it's the first episode. Most folks suggested that pitching your first episode with a title "too inside" baseball would brush back listeners.
