#150 - The Silent Knight
Tucker and Todd return to the writers' room following a lengthy hiatus. Todd proposes producing primarily soundless silly skits. Tucker wonders whether the silence impacts anyone or everyone else. The silence gives birth to a new super-villain. The rest is Snidestuff.
-
151
#149 - A Hypothetical Episode
Todd has been on sick leave and bedrest but he's been itching to have a chat with Tucker and so now this episode exists. Hypothetically. They don't do a whole lot of brainstorming or storyboarding, but they share a couple giggles and catch up on news.
-
150
#148 - County Fair Emergency Room
Tucker and Todd head down to the fair grounds with the gang for Hometown's annual summer exhibition show. Naturally, havoc leads to harm and the boys find themselves indefinitely interned with a pack of impatient inpatients. Just as naturally, the ad hoc emergency room turns out to be much more than it appears. And supernaturally, the boys will have to get to the bottom of it.
-
149
#147 - Seven Deadly AssaSins
The dragons invoke an ancient ritual to select a new pope. I can't remember what else...this was two days ago.
-
148
Four Year Anniversary Special - Everything's Computer
Typically on anniversary episodes, we explore the origins of our main characters. This year, we wanted to weave some origins of Craig and PlaNET into the Pink/Pale plot we've focused on for the majority of the current phase. So someone kills Craig and we once again must save his ass. That's how we celebrate four years. So celebrate with us!
-
147
#145 - Hell's Alvador
While Homeland has always been stitched together with racism and xenophobia, the latest administration is embracing a more fascist approach as it’s begun kidnapping and disappearing citizens and abandoning them in the literal worst-rated hotel in actual Hell: The Alvador. But not until the F.R.O.S.T agents escorting deportees begin finding themselves imprisoned does anyone speak out against the tyranny. But tyranny is in these days, baby!
-
146
#144 - Dragon Through the Mud
Built on a foundation of quicksand miles above an anomaly that swallows money, the new Gatcha Strip Casino Resort is showing signs of sinking. The dragons retreat to their hidden paradise of ivory towers in order to regroup and plan their next move. But their repeated manipulation of temporal fields around Homeworld have alerted the Alphanumeric Order to their location. Now with the help of the Order, Annabelle, Dawn, and the Court of St. George have everything they need to lay siege to the dragons.
-
145
#143 - Rebootion Rights
Tired of shooting themselves in the foot, the party of opposition is finally making a move against the corpse of Jordy Puppetson. But as they attempt to resurrect the spirits of beloved ex-presidents, their brazen acts of necromancy draw the attention and ire of legal zealots and deities alike.
-
144
#142 - No More Rights...Except Right This Way!
As the dragons consolidate more and more global power, they turn their sights on removing the remainder of the undesireables from their regime. As their apartheid project on the Pale has drawn eyes from throughout the cosmos, a glut of aliens have been pouring into Homeland to both support and protest the genocide. And so with the blessing of multiple nations, Homeland and the dragons begin mass deportations of aliens and Homeworldians alike to various corners of space even to the depths of Hell itself!
-
143
#141 - Legends of the Dragon Temple
As the federal courts in Homeland are failing to hold any dragons accountable, a fringe clause is being enacted to summon the Right Honorable Court of St. George from an entirely other planet. The dragons themselves have a new scheme to capitalize on capitalism: an extravagant reality competition gameshow in which teams of entrepreneurs race each other through a complex series of obstacles and puzzles. All for the right to pitch their business to the dragons. But hardly any of them know the cost!!
-
142
#140 - Fired Festival
As the Dragons have emptied the Homeland treasury and dumped all the currency into their new lunar casino, the value of the currency itself has deflated and the citizens back on Homeworld are left to cobble together a barter system. Meanwhile, a celebratory festival is being planned to usher in the new era of wealth and prosperity for the moon-previously-known-as the Pale.
-
141
#139 - Undertaker's Dozen
With the new Plaza Strip casino metropolis almost completed on what used to be the Pale, a ragtag crew of billionaire robber-baron oligarchs are staging an elaborate heist to loot the Homeland treasury. Alan Stench has teamed up with the Old Undertaker to pull off the biggest con in history. But how many coatings of conniving can a con conceive of?
-
140
#138 - A New Pale-adigm
Homeland has contracted Bruce Willis to harness an asteroid and direct its energy into demolishing and flattening the Pale. Abaddon, the Mother Board, Auntie Imperialism, and more all have interests in setting up shop on the new flatland. But nobody is more interested or more flat than Allen Stench. His old ties to Jordy Puppetson now leave him in direct control of the puppet presidency and he’s looking to cut off all loose ends!
-
139
#137 - The Last Stockhustler
Todd was having an existential crisis so we decided to shift the focus of the show a little. Instead of brainstorming plots for episodes of our animated series, we're going to start piecing together short audio-only segments that are more refined and produced sort of like a radioplay. In this episode of the Writers' Room, we're fleshing out that first play and solidifying some of our intentions for how those episodes will be formatted.
-
138
#136 - Internet Poisoning
We made an episode
-
137
#135 - Moral Outage
The internet has been restored on Homeworld and attention on the conflict between the Pink and the Pale has receded back to the niche echo chambers it had previously manifested. Space Pirate (and official Devil) Annabelle Blackbush is taking advantage of the stupor to make backroom deals on the black market and profiteer off the lunar conflict. And through all of this, Stan is now faced with a moral quandary.
-
136
#134 - High Freaktose Porn Syrup
Oops! Todd lost an episode so you're skipping one! In the last one we explored the romantic past between Stan and the space pirate Anabel. In this episode, we sort of do a Halloween special except not really. In keeping with the theme of the month, we look at sugar addiction and how it destroys lives. All that and a few tangents if you would just push play!
-
135
#132 - The Ballad of Pink Toni
Stan has had quite enough of all the stone-aged nonsense so he’s taking initiative and heading to the Pink to see what can be done. An old military pal is among the Homeworld expats living on the small moon and Stan suspects he’ll have some intel. But the last thing he expects is for the entire debacle to lead back to the venerated and revered figurehead of the Pinktonian people: Pink Toni! This disharmony between heavenly bodies is a far larger conspiracy than anybody first assumed, but what the hell are Tucker and Todd going to do about it?!
-
134
#131 - Better Help
In order to provide relief in the wake of the global internet shortage, world organizations are arranging outreach camps where affected individuals can seek resources. Naturally, this means a black market has surfaced to exploit the desperation of the downtrodden. Todd's gambling addiction in particular has been difficult to satiate and so the boys are in search of counselling. Luckily for them, Better Help is the hottest new service offering help for betters. But is something nefarious afoot behind the scenes?
-
133
#130 - The Pink Beyond the Pale
Tucker and Todd were actually on the cusp of accomplishing something productive when their respective addictions start calling. But some sort of internet outage is making it difficult for almost everyone in town to access their vices. Little does anyone realize that the trade routes from PlaNET to Homeworld have been shut down. A much larger issue is about to become everyone’s worst nightmare and send the entire planet into withdrawals!
-
132
#129 - A Most Sobering Octobering
We're back! We took the summer off and now we're as refreshed as two thirtysomething men with failing nervous systems can be! So we're here to tell stories again. And this time around, we'd like to discuss Addiction. We've hinted at Tucker and Todd struggling with various vices over the years but never shined a light on the depth of the issue. So this month while we take a break from some of our unhealthy habits, let us explore where they come from and what they look like on the Outside!!!!
-
131
#128 - Nickers and Neigh-bors
A year ago we made a list of mashups between subgenres that we don't often see paired together. One of our favorite combinations off that list was Fantasy-Western. Brickwork and thatched-roof fairytale towns plagued with bank robbers and cattle rustlers. A medieval civilization in its Wild West era. Six-shooters and spellcraft. So in this episode we do a bunch of worldbuilding!
-
130
#127 - How the Who Stole Grinchmas
We all know the story about the Grinch who got bumped off course to his home and ended up raised in a village of hedonistic Whos. But what happened to the baby Who girl bumped off her course? Where did she end up? What is her story? We’ll find out in this episode.
-
129
#126 - Would a Bear Shit on a Pope?
So two episodes back we brainstormed ideas for skits inspired by the #manorbear thought experiment. This week we recorded the dialogue for the skits we wrote. It's a bit of a silly, giggly mess but we had a lot of fun so we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
-
128
#125 - Sugar & Bones
A couple years ago, Todd was eating a bowl of Jell-o and observed that it was sort of insane to just eat a soup of sugar and bones, given that gelatin is boiled animal bits. Tucker observed that this was metal as hell. And thus was born Sugar & Bones the band, a blistering blues-metal duo who accidentally received possessed rock instruments as the result of a bungled Crossroads deal. In this episode, we flesh them out a bit more and brainstorm a concept for their upcoming third album!
-
127
#124 - 3rd Anniversary Special - Origin of Stan
We've been doing this for 3 years! So to celebrate in Snideful tradition, we discuss the lore of one of our main cast of characters. This year we're talking about our favorite grumpy, colorful, stuffed bear: Stan! We'll talk about his birth on the Isle of Misfit Toys, his journey to Bearville, and the life he lived in the Outside before he was magicked into realspace!
-
126
#123 - Man or Bear
This week Todd made an account on Threads and spent a lot of time observing the thought experiment regarding the relative safety of an average bear vs an average man. Tucker noticed the debate spilling over into YouTube video essays and so we figured we'd try to make some humor out of the whole thing. We concoct a handful of skits about men, bears, predators, mad honey, and scheiße porn. All that and bearly anything more!
-
125
#122 - Wheel Talk
It's the finale episode of Season 7! Tucker and Todd have been putting off writing their comic book all season but the battle raging throughout the Keep of the Code has finally provided them with the downtime to make some progress. They walk through the outline of their epic tale and discover some improbable coincidences between its plot and the harrowing events they've trudged through since Jay left. We tie up all the loose threads and plant the seeds for the second half of the Zodiac Saga!
-
124
#121 - Get Wheel!
Straight Woman and Anderson Keeper have followed the enigmatic biomechanics genius Galter the Grey to his secret lair but all three of them have different endgames in mind. Straight Woman wants to confront CongressJudge Deedee Megadoodoo, the dying woman she only just learned to be her mother. Keeper wants to learn more about his mysterious otherdimensional ancestry. And Galter wants to take advantage of that ancestry to escape to the Outside. Meanwhile in the actual Outside, Thinos and his army of zealots have successfully fought their way through the Keep of the Code’s defenses and restored the key to unleashing a pantheon of cosmic entities forged by the timeless art of storytelling.
-
123
#120 - That's a Wheely Big Town
Elections and debates have proven useless over time and so Homeland is instating a novel method of determining its new leaders: Roast Battles. Through some absurd confluence of events, it seems Jordy Puppetson may have the presidency in the bag. Elsewhere, Galter the Gray is about to cross two hells of a path. Meanwhile in the Outside, Thinos is closing in on the Pinkmanian macguffin which will unlock the Zodiac and unleash the eldritch gods of storytelling. But the Keepers of the Alphanumeric Code are hot on their heels.
-
122
#119 - Bemusement Park
Thinos and his ramshackle collection of fanatics, Fantasology cultists, and BE Agency goons are doing their best to follow the signal given off by their ancient Pinkmanian gizmo. But somehow it's led them to one of the BEA's own joint projects with Auntie Imperialism: a Bemusement Park designed to syphon confusion out of human visitors on Homeworld and store it as psionic energy for their nefarious schemes. Little do our baddies know, Tucker and Todd have also arrived in the Outside for a meeting with Dad and Mylo. Their chaotic energy is surely interfering with the Pinkmanian dowsing rod, but that can only mean Thinos will soon be on his way to the Keep of the Alphanumeric Code!
-
121
#118 - The Monsterian Candidate
After weeks of coaching and training, Jordy Puppetson is finally ready for his first press rally. An entire media circus has turned up and all eyes are on the would-be President. But some of the antics used to drum up support are starting to rub Galter the Gray the wrong way. On the other side of town, Jay is reaching out to an old friend in the hopes his chaotic collection of chronicles will contribute some context to her cluster of Captonian clues.
-
120
#117 - My Eyes Are Down Here
The Curiosity Shoppe is under siege! A coalition of baddies is looking for a macguffin to point them in the direction of a greater macguffin. Luckily Tucker and Todd are out on assignment and Dad has an evacuation plan. Elsewhere, Jay is about to get real *familiar* with her mysterious stalker. And you'll also hear about that assignment the boys are on. All in this episode of Snideful: Inside the Writers' Room!
-
119
#116 - This One Has 'Sexy' in the Title
In this episode, Jay has traced a clue to an information desk but hasn't the first clue that she's about to run into the mother of all information dumps. Meanwhile, Galter the Grey is finally taking steps to polish the turd that will become their Mashurian Candidate. And elsewhere in the Outside, the voice in Thinnos' head is summoning more pawns into the fold.
-
118
#115 - Unthinished Business
Returning to the episodic plot of Season 7. In this third episode of the season, Thinnos has found shelter and succor in the Kansas church of Fantasology, but he’s feeling despondent. Meanwhile, Tucker and Todd are despondent over their comic’s lukewarm reception. Jay has been directed to Homecity’s hall of records, as the Adoption Agency is no more. But shortly after she leaves, someone on the inside informs Megadoodoo that a snoop is afoot.
-
117
#114 - Relapse
Oops! We're back. Todd decided to quit being a whinging pusso and climb back in the saddle. So here we are attempting to resurrect our media empire. We had a number of projects bouncing around in our heads unrelated to Tucker and Todd so we used this first episode back to practice talking again and flesh out some of those ideas. We invite you to join us!
-
116
#113 - Destiny, Manifest
Finally accepting their newfound independence, Tucker and Todd resign themselves to developing their new omnipotent comic book villain. Little do they realize their brainstorming is flapping butterfly wings in another dimension. Meanwhile in the same dimension but just slightly elsewhere on the planet, CongressJudge Deedee Megadoodoo is cooking up a new scheme to wrest control of the Homelandian people.
-
115
#112 - Straight Outta Hometown
It's the premiere episode of Season 7! At the end of last season, Straight Woman parted ways with Tucker and Todd, leaving them aghast and agape and deep in denial. We catch up with them still very much in denial and seeking distractions. Meanwhile, Straight Woman's journey of self-discovery first brings her to her adoptive parents. Perhaps they can point her in the direction of answers...
-
114
#111 - Halloween Special No. 3
Welcome to Trick or No Treat! The Halloween themed gameshow extravaganza where your only obligation is to pick a trick or you can't win a treat! Contestants will guess what ghouls are behind Door Number One, bet on the value of bewitching briefcases, and spin a spooky wheel of witchcraft! All in the name of All Hallow's Eve!
-
113
#110 - Ménage à Triage
As the dust clears from the wreckage left behind by last week’s Deus Ex Monster Truck, the survivors of the wrestling tournament at the now-condemned Napoleonic Casino Resort find themselves in various states of recovery and regrouping. Vice McManlet finds himself in the service of a new master. CongressJudge Deedee Megadoodoo finds herself in possession of a new plan. And the Snideful crew find themselves waving goodbye to a central member of their little family. Tune in as we storyboard the finale episode of Season 6 to find out who!
-
112
#109 - Unjust Cos
This entire season has mostly built up to this! In the final two rounds of the professional wrestling tournament concocted by the BE Agency, Villains and Vigilantes collide to determine who will face off against the Napoleonic Casino Champions. The Vigilantes are extremely powerful but the villains have some aces up their sleeves (and maybe even "The House" on their side)!
-
111
#108 - Breaking Bad News
CongressJudge Deedee Megadoodoo and her co-conspirators at the BE Agency are trying to cover up the last of the casino patrons affected by the Bad Luck overload. How will Tucker and Todd manage to find their way out of a massive gladiatorial arena battle? How will News Knight fare in the possession of Bane Cosby and Jordy Puppetson? And how will Hatwoman’s team of ragtag vigilantes size up against the Vilecom Villains in the wrestling ring?
-
110
#107 - Pudding Pop Off
Having kidnapped one of the villains’ primary Big Bads, Hatwoman’s cadre of vigilantes believe they’ve laid the perfect bait for a trap. They aren’t prepared for the gigantic Uno Reverse card about to be played on them. A double-agent within the ranks of the villains is going rogue and delivering his own Bad News to the crew. It seems both sides’ fates are now entwined in the wrestling ring.
-
109
#106 - Breaking Bad Luck
In the wake of their highly improbable victory in the wrestling tournament prelims, Tucker and Todd are living it up with new VIP treatment at the Napoleonic. But the mysterious management have a new Ace up their sleeve and it’s bending the rules of Luck and Probability. Meanwhile, the disparate pairings of vigilantes have begun to converge and focus their attention on more significant threats.
-
108
#105 - Discriminating Taste
Tucker insists on dragging Todd to the new casino resort, the Napoleonic. But while Tucker is escorted to the VIP section for an all-star experience, Todd is left to his own depraved devices on the casino floor. Though all anyone seems to be talking about is the latest episode of Good News with Anderson Keeper. Even InfoWhores is running commentary on the acclaimed anchor’s interview with Jordy Puppetson. But are the presenting the whole story?
-
107
#104 - Workin' on Our Night Soup
It really seemed like Tucker and Todd had been left in a true bind, but maybe that was all just a dream? Hatwoman carves time out of her busy schedule to pull off a quick rescue before initiating the boys into her most recent crimefighting endeavour. But when the boys attempt to fight a crime that turns out to be more than they can handle, a much needed ally swoops in with last-minute back-up.
-
106
#103 - Casino Royalty
The Mother Board has accepted several new members including CongressJudge Dee Dee Megadoodoo. To celebrate and welcome the inductees, they’re having a poker night at the brand new casino resort, The Napoleonic. And with the rising crime rates in the city, the glimmering shrine to consumption and excess is a prime target for scum and villainy. But Hatwoman’s rallying cry has not been falling on deaf ears. A new wave of vigilantes is ready to heed the call.
-
105
#102 - Hatwoman
In the wake of the horde of zombies and mutants that surged through Hometown last season, government grants are prompting initiatives to rebuild and revitalize the trampled community. Always ready to leap at an opportunity to engineer society, the BE Agency quickly establishes a shining new Casino/Resort in the center of town. Meanwhile, the Jogler and his stable of burgeoning villains are laying the ground for their own plan to capture the minds of the masses. But they don’t known a new hero in town is about to rally a vigilante revolution.
-
104
#101 - Tainted Law
The Team for Anomalous Investigation and Neutralization of Terrors has rallied the support of a local CongressJudge and enacted martial law throughout Hometown. In the aftermath of last season’s laundry list of supernatural occurrences, the top brass at T.A.I.N.T have determined it’s time to put boots to necks. Curfews, barricades, complete takeover of municipal law enforcement. Little do they know their lockdowns will only serve to usher in a new wave of villainy. All that and only a little bit more as we storyboard this Season 6 premiere of The Tucker & Todd Show!
-
103
#100.1 - The Rest of the Story So Far
We got a bit carried away with the level of detail we were expanding into throughout the previous episode and only made it about 3/5 of the way through the timeline. This time around we do our best to expedite the process and sail through the back end of the timeline leading up to our current season (we're starting Season 6 next week). If you're just joining us and want to get caught up with the plot, you can skip the first 99 episodes and just scrub through these two. See you for the next recap in Episode #200!!!
We're indexing this podcast's transcripts for the first time — this can take a minute or two. We'll show results as soon as they're ready.
