Some Cub Flying
by Neal Boortz
The last time I landed the CarbonCub on pavement was at Sarasota on my way from Yakima, WA to my Naples home base. That was last October. So this morning I thought I might go ahead and test my pavement skills on RW 5 in Naples. Here you go ... full 50 degree flaps .. as slow as I could get her. Touchdown airspeed was around 49mph .. and with the headwind that translated to a ground speed of about 40mph. You can see how short these Cubs can land.
