The Rogatchover Gaon's insight reveals that halicha (walking/progression) serves as a kinyan (acquisition) in Torah because only one who is mevarer (clarifies and distinguishes) can truly acquire Torah knowledge. True growth in learning requires constant upward movement and developing new conceptual frameworks, not merely repeating the same analytical tools in different contexts. The greatest tragedy occurs when a person's fundamental understanding of Torah, Yiddishkeit, and the world remains frozen at a childhood level while other areas of knowledge expand.
