From Audience to Assignment - Alive in Us Series | Spirit Church NYC
This Sunday, Pastor Karel brought a powerful message about calling and purpose titled “From Audience to Assignment.” Looking at the early church in Acts 2:42-47, he taught that purpose is found by stepping in, not sitting back. The early church shows us that power is not found in a platform; it’s found in participation. And today, we’re called to do the same - to step up, step in, and be faithful where we are 🙌Join us Sunday's 10:30AM Walter W. We Were Made to Respond - Palm Sunday | Spirit Church NYC
This Palm Sunday, Pastor Karel spoke a powerful message titled “We Were Made to Respond.” In the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem in Luke 19, we’re shown that how we respond to Jesus reveals who we believe He is - praise reveals his kingship, while silence can often point to a struggle in our hearts. We weren’t made to stay silent. We were made to worship boldly, speak the name of Jesus daily, choose faith over fear, and live filled with the Holy Spirit! “I tell you, if they keep quiet, the very stones would cry out.” Luke 19:40

Holiness Changes Everything | Spirit Church NYC
In Part 2 of our Character of God sermon series, Pastor Karel explores one of the most powerful truths about God: His holiness. Through the powerful encounter in Isaiah 6, we see how a true understanding of God’s holiness transforms everything — how we see ourselves, how we approach God, and how we respond to His calling. When Isaiah saw the Lord “high and exalted,” it led to repentance, cleansing, and ultimately mission. In the same way, encountering the holiness of God changes our hearts and our lives today.Join us Sunday's 10:30AM Walter W. The Weight of Unforgiveness
Forgiveness is something EVERYONE struggles with! In this message, Pastor Karel de Haas shares four key truths about forgiveness to help you release forgiveness to others and walk in freedom for yourself. We've all been wronged. We've all been hurt. We've all been offended. And when these moments occur, we opt to withhold forgiveness and keep it from our offenders because we feel like it's the only thing left in our control. But for followers of Jesus, this is NOT the way it's supposed to be. Ephesians 4:32 says we are to "forgive one another, just as God, in Christ Jesus, has forgiven you." The truth is we've all received generous and abundant forgiveness from God, through Jesus Christ. So imagine if God chose to forgive us in the same way that we forgive others – we'd all be in grave trouble!Make an impact with your generosity: https://spiritchurch.nyc/give/
