This past week I was honored to represent the Toledo-Lucas County Commission on Disabilities when the County Commissioners approved a resolution endorsing the Five I's of Disability Justice, a framework to ensure the creation of truly disability friendly public policy. I reprise my discussion with author of the Five I's, Sam Melden.

Food insecurity is a growing problem.  In his latest book But We Only Have One Grape, Anthony Knopps looks at this serious problem through the eyes of a second grader. Our discussion points out that 15 percent of American households with children are considered "food insecure."
