What is your greatest asset? 7-2-25
What is of the most value to you?Is it a car? pet? motorcycle? property? record collection? boat? etc. Or maybe it is internal.I lost something of value to me today.I forgot to mention to it in this episode, that perhaps karma came back to bite me in the ass. I had sort of gone off on a rant about riff raff in an article today, and although it is good to vent, I think I was dwelling and I brought on negative karma. By my obsessing and writing about riff raff, I believe I brought on riff raff, who walked off with my valuable asset (in my opinion).

When one door closes, another one will open up for you. 5-1-25
Maybe someone out there reading this just had a door closed in their life, whether by someone else, or yourself. At the time, it is not pleasant, you feel angry, rejected, humiliated, incensed. But sometimes, in hindsight, you realize that the door closing was actually a wake up call for you to find new doors.

Managers 4-30-25
If you break up the word "manage" into syllables, it looks like this: man-age . Basically implying that a man needs to be man-aged or a woman needs to wom-an-aged.Do people really need this? or are most of these just created jobs in which subordinates are not valued and middle managed drones are flourishing?A candid discussion.

Motivation 4-20-25
If anyone here has seen "Full Metal Jacket", they will remember the jelly donut scene in which Gunnery Sgt Hartmann tells recruits that they have not given Private Pyle the proper motivation. Eventually, that motivation was a beating that Private Pyle endured. But for most of us, motivation comes from within, we have to be our own coach, our own cheerleader, in pursuing whatever our dreams may b.

Age. People come in personalities at all ages 4-17-25

Cassette Tape Recorders 4-17-25
Many of you out there may remember Cassette Tape Recorders, or be familiar with them, as they were very popular, I would say in the 1970's and 1980's.I recently bought a cassette recorder to listen to some old cassette tapes my family had made a good 50 years ago.It was a trip down memory lane, and has inspired me to buy some blank cassettes and get back into making recordings, the old fashioned way.Too much time and attention and obsession with digiital media is leading me back into old analog methods of documenting my life and creating content.

Regular People 4-6-25
Do you ever find yourself, boasting to others that you met a famous person? or that you went to school with a person who became famous? or that you knew them from open mics, or acting, or whatever before they blew up and went viral?I catch myself doing that often, and I am trying to stop, it is not good for your own morale, you are minimizing your importance as a person. It's okay to be a regular person, because the truth is folks, that we are all regular people. Some are just more well known.

NIMBY-ISM 4-3-25
NIMBY= Not in my backyard. You may have heard of the term.It is when a community voices it's concerns and opposition to the opening of a particular residence or business in their neighborhood for various reasons.Every one in this world needs help at one point, and personally I do care about those who are less fortunate. But the question is, those who really need help are so mixed in there surrounded by bad acting characters, that it reduces our sensitivity as a society.

Telemarketing 3-19-25
I was an unsuccessful telemarketer, back in the 1990's, before there was caller ID, the internet, and cell phones.I forgot to mention that I also set up appts for a Janitorial Services Company, which I got fired from after a few weeks. But I still have the memories, the experiences of cold calling strangers on the phone, strangers who wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible. Coupled with cattle herders walking the floor in the room, making sure that I keep smiling and dialing and do not engage in conversation with my "neighbor" I still remember those days, do not know what it is like to be a telemarketer today, and I am somewhat curious, would I be more successful today? or even worse?

Listening to others when they are speaking 3-17-25
Not all of us are good listeners, some are. I was not always a good listener, sometimes I am now but sometimes I find myself tuning out or thinking about what I want to say.I think that is human nature, part of our natural inclination to be self absorbed. But once one realizes their errs, then the road is paved for self improvement.

Jor-El the wisdom of. 3-9-25
Many of you are familiar with Superman, the movie. Jor-El knows that he will be killed soon, so he makes these recordings for baby superman to listen to in the capsule. My error, in the recording, I said Jackie Mason was in movie, it was a different Jackie, he played the editor, and actor had been in the Little Rascals, I know his first name was Jackie.Anyway, I recovered my own Jor-el tapes and sharing my story with you. Morale here, document your lives, get out your phone and record stories, videos, write, and leave something for your offspring to listen to in half a century.

COVID-19 a look back 3-8-25
The great pandemic of 2020, we all remember that, it was not too long ago. Yet it was five years ago, that means this decade is halfway over.We all were affected in some way by COVID. Personally, I lost a relative and I knew a lot of people whom passed from the disease. I also had a different life before COVID, as it coincided in my life along with some major life changes, this causing a rift if you will, a body of water that separated one island of my life from the next, which I am now headed to.

Sprains, Tears, and Pinched Nerves 3-8-25
Many of you have gotten a little taste of the above dilemnas, and they are no laughing matter. Time consuming, all consuming because you feel so debilitated that you cannot seem to function until the issue is alleviated.Imagine all the suffering our aging action heroes are going now for the punishment that they inflicted on to their own bodies.

How it feels to be told that you are old 3-6-25
Have any of you out there ever experienced that?Trust me, the more circles you do around the sun in this life, the sooner or later someone younger is going to make an insensitive comment about your age. How you react, and how you digest it, is within your control.Sometimes it gets to me, other times I try to redirect myself or just understand why they said it. Or sometimes I just accept, hey, I am getting older now, I am almost 40 years older than a lot of these young adults, that is like a generation and a half.

Pet names that Significant others have for one another 3-5-25
You have all heard them, I believe the most popular one is "babe", ("babe, are you there?"), followed by "baby", "honey" "pookie" "honey bear" "sweetie", "pooksie" etc. What names, if any do you and your partner have for one another?I often feel like a detached Sociologist, or human behavior analyst, critiquing and interpretating what it means to have affectionate names for another person.

The Man in the Mirror 3-1-25
Unless you are visually impaired, chances are that you have a relationship with the man or the woman in the mirror. However, that mirror can be very deceptive, as we see it several times a day, so we do not know how much we have aged, or how we present ourselves to others.

Gene Hackman 3-1-25
We lost one of the greats two days ago, Gene Hackman, along with his wife, and his dog, passed away. He was one of my favorite actors, I was impacted greatly by his movies. I am Not Your "Bro " 2-27-25
The latest of the new brand names to address one another, is "Bro" I really detest being addressed that way, especially with perfect strangers whom I exchange shallow pleasantries with, or people whom I have known only a week, maybe a month.I am not your brother, do not call me that.Oh, and "brother from another mother" no, our mothers did not know each other, and we are not even friends, so all of this is exaggerated phoniness between humans.

Anxiety 2-27-25
Anxiety, how many of you suffer from it? It's far worse than allergies, in my opinion. How bad is yours? and how does it make you feel?I can remember my anxiety going back most of my adult life, or a good chunk of it, and I remember the gradual increase over the years as the attacks grew more frequent.

I've been a comedian since I was 5 years old 2-23-25
Looking back at my life, I feel that my comedic side hatched around age 5 in Kindergarten class, when I was more interested in acting silly than I was in learning.Although I did not formally start doing comedy until I was 40 years old, I had a long history with spurts of acting silly and laughing until I was basically told by those in authority to act serious and stop clowning around, and long periods of being very serious, and acting as reserved as possible.
