I've been DJing since the early 90s, having learnt to mix on borrowed decks.I started out playing early Rave, Jungle and Happy Hardcore, then made a transition into the House scene during the mid-90s. It was about this time I got my first club gigs, introducing for the likes of Roy The Roach, Alex P and Stretch (Stretch & Vern).A move to Brighton for Uni in 97 prompted a jump on the Big Beat bandwagon, where I generally enjoyed a more bouncy, eclectic experience. I still have a penchant for Classic US House / Garage & Old School dance music. But I have been known to drop a veritable mixed, tossed salad including classic Hip Hop & Indie crossovers. If it rocks, its in the box!In the words of the Big Beat Boutique (God Rest It's Soul) - 'Party Rockin, Genre Trashin, Bollocks'Some of my mixes :-http://www.mixcloud.com/SteveKuma/I'm a fan of :- Norman Cook, Liam Howlett, A-Trak, Soulwax / 2manyDJs, Kissy Sell Out, Hervé, DJ Sneak, Masters At Work, Chemical Brothers, Erol Alkan, Dav

Steve Kuma - Having A Good Time (Original Mix)
A new track I've put together in the last few days. Bit of the Coldcut / Lisa Stansfield vocal sample in there.

Competition Entry.
-
Steve Kuma - Pump Up The Noise (Original Mix)
Been working on this for a bit, kept tweaking and re-tweaking, and finally found a vocal hook I liked that worked with it. Catchy, bouncy, a little bit cheeky! Heck, I like it... but I'm already thinking about doing a remix of it! :o)
