How to Navigate Divorce When Your Kids Are in the Middle

Divorce is hard. But navigating divorce when your kids are involved? Hello somebody, now that’s a whole different level of pressure!! How do you support your kids emotionally during divorce? What does the Bible say about the fear, guilt, and uncertainty we face as a parent? I’m absolutely not perfect and am still learning as I navigate through, but I want to focus today’s episode on what I’ve learned, paired with some biblical truth.  If you’ve ever found yourself lying awake at night thinking, “Am I messing up my kids?” you’re not alone. Let’s get real about what it looks like to walk through divorce as a parent who deeply loves their kids and wants to do this right. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence, grace, and trusting God in the middle of the mess. So I Went To Prison...And This Is What God Did

What if the place you think is “freedom” is actually where you’re still in bondage? Friendssss, I’ve gotta share a truly life-changing experience with you. I recently visited a federal women’s prison with God Behind Bars, and it completely redefined my understanding of freedom! Let’s take a look together at John 8 and the story of the woman caught in adultery. We’ll look at how shame, sin, hesitation, and lies from the enemy can keep us stuck… even if we’ve never found ourselves inside the walls of a prison.  We’ve got to do three things: stop playing with sin, start naming the lies we’re believing, and step into the real freedom Jesus offers us.  If you’ve been feeling stuck, ashamed, or spiritually blocked, I hope this episode will meet you right where you are and then call you into something higher. You are not too far gone. You are not disqualified. Real freedom is available to you, right now. A Prayer for When Your Heart Feels Heavy

If your heart feels heavy today, this prayer is for you. You don’t have to have the right words. You don’t have to have it all together. If your heart feels heavy, just press play. This week’s episode is a little different! I’ve got a special “rest rhythm” moment for ya – I’m going to walk you through a short, guided prayer rooted in Psalm 61. When life feels overwhelming, when you’re carrying pain you can’t fix, or when your heart feels faint, this moment is an invitation to pause, breathe, and remember that God is near. This guided prayer is for anyone feeling emotionally exhausted, spiritually drained, or in need of God’s presence. I read scripture over you, guide you through a few intentional deep breaths, and pray over you to remind you that you are seen, known, and deeply loved by God. How to Forgive Someone Who Cheated on You

How do you forgive someone who cheated on you… especially when they don’t deserve it? Buckle uppppp y’all. I’m nothing if not honest; you know this about me. So I’m letting you into more of my healing journey through the repeated affairs of my ex-husband. I’ve endured betrayal and infidelity, which led to our divorce – and yet, I’ve forgiven him. Yes, really. I hear you: “Toni, but HOW?!” Let’s talk about it. You can still forgive even when the pain is still fresh. I walk through the story of Peter’s betrayal in John 18 and John 21, and I’m sharing some practical steps that helped me move from unforgiveness to freedom. If you’ve been cheated on, lied to, or deeply hurt in a relationship, I hope this episode will meet you right where you are. You’re Accidentally Asking God For The Wrong Thing

Why aren’t your prayers working… even when you’re trying your best? You guys, I’ve been experiencing a whole lot of spiritual warfare like you wouldn’t believe. I’ve felt desperate, I’ve sought out deliverance, and it’s led me to ask a deeper question: what am I really asking God for… and why?  I think there’s something that gets in the way of our prayers, and it’s probably not what you think. Let’s dive into James 4 to look at how our desires, habits, and even good things in our lives can quietly become distractions from God. If you’ve ever felt frustrated, stuck, or confused about why God feels silent, I’m really hoping this conversation will challenge you and encourage you at the same time. Men’s Mental Health and Killing Pride with Terrence Smith

Well, hello, friends!! We’ve done it. We’ve reached the final episode of Season 7 and I’m just so grateful. I hope you’ve enjoyed this “Toni and Friends” season full of some of my favorite people. They got me through this horrific season of betrayal, and through our conversations I trust the Lord has helped you to see how you can boldly step out of hiding to find the godly community that will bring true healing. I’m joined for this finale episode by my friend Terrence Smith. Terrence is the founder of Kill Pride Club, which is a beautiful space here locally in Atlanta for men to process grief, release pressure, and grow in wholeness. During their monthly meetings, Kill Pride Club attendees explore the challenges men face in a world that often leaves them behind emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. I love this, y’all. Lean in – Terrence has lots of practical tips for men on their healing journeys! Rebuilding Creative Moxie with MŌRIAH

Today’s guest is Moriah Smallbone, my co-host of the "Unshakeable Moxie" video series with Our Daily Bread Ministries! We met in a pretty unconventional way (basically creative-speed-dating style), yet there’s always been such an ease and sense of normalcy in our friendship. Goodness knows Moriah has seen me through the good, the bad, and the downright horrific these last few years. And it’s been such a privilege for me to watch her fight for her dreams. As a Latin-country artist, the last decade of Moriah’s career has been full of emotional starts and stops – moments that felt like sowing seeds in the dark while watching others’ dreams take off around her. But her story, like mine, is one of rebuilding, redemption, and finding purpose again through God and His people. If you’ve ever felt like you’re waiting on breakthrough or wondering if your hard work will ever bear fruit, this conversation is for you.Thank you to our two incredible sponsors for this season of the Still Coloring podcast: Bark Technologies and “Unshakeable Moxie” from Our Daily Bread Ministries!http://info.bark.us/tonihttps://go.odb.org/toni-moxieConnect with MŌRIAH:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/holamoriah/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@holamoriahSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1w0QYx2G0ywsCClH84FcAv?si=UDMSqwwGTcGtrHLNGYaYTAWebsite: moriah.komi.io Watch podcast episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tonijcollierSupport the Still Coloring Podcast: https://square.link/u/u2FkAzC7?src=sheetShop Toni's merch: https://www.shopetch.co/collections/toni-collierConnect with Toni: Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonijcollierPodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stillcoloringpodFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliertoniNewsletter: ToniJCollier.com/NewsletterWebsite: ToniJCollier.comPurchase Toni's newest book, Don’t Try This Alone: https://amzn.to/3BQqaBrPurchase Toni’s children’s book, Broken Crayons Still Color: https://amzn.to/3x3I4xDPurchase Toni’s first book, Brave Enough to be Broken: https://amzn.to/3VoCjVu

[NOTE: Thanks for hanging with us through some audio issues with this episode! If you're having a hard time following, go watch the episode on YouTube where you can turn on captions – that really helps!]Okay y’all KNOW I’ve become a Burn Boot Camp obsessed gym girly – I would not have gotten through this horrific season of divorce without caring for my body (and building a really sweet community) within the walls of my local gym. And the incredible thing about Burn Boot Camp is that I can keep my workout rhythm going when I travel and speak all across the country! In this “don’t heal alone” season of Still Coloring, I wanted to chat with the CEO and co-founder of Burn Boot Camp, Morgan Kline, because goodness knows Burn has helped me heal. Morgan and her husband Devan lead this company so well, and I had the opportunity to tell her that in this episode! We talk about the importance of community, consistency and challenge – the three C’s of Burn! – and about honoring God through how we care for our bodies. Y’all go check out a Burn Boot Camp near you and tag me when you do!Thank you to our two incredible sponsors for this season of the Still Coloring podcast: Bark Technologies and “Unshakeable Moxie” from Our Daily Bread Ministries!http://info.bark.us/tonihttps://go.odb.org/toni-moxieConnect with Morgan:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/morgan.a.klinePodcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-burn-boot-camp-podcast/id1622371412Website: https://burnbootcamp.com/morgan-proud Watch podcast episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tonijcollierSupport the Still Coloring Podcast: https://square.link/u/u2FkAzC7?src=sheetShop Toni's merch: https://www.shopetch.co/collections/toni-collierConnect with Toni: Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonijcollierPodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stillcoloringpodFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliertoniNewsletter: ToniJCollier.com/NewsletterWebsite: ToniJCollier.comPurchase Toni's newest book, Don’t Try This Alone: https://amzn.to/3BQqaBrPurchase Toni’s children’s book, Broken Crayons Still Color: https://amzn.to/3x3I4xDPurchase Toni’s first book, Brave Enough to be Broken: https://amzn.to/3VoCjVu

Sitting in Grief Together with Eryn Eddy Adkins

Well, you guys, I apologize in advance for the snot-cry-filled audio of this episode, but that’s how you know we went REAL DEEP on the topic of sitting with your friends in grief.Eryn Eddy Adkins and I have been friends for nearly a decade. She knew me when I was freshly divorced and then remarried… and now divorced again. It’s so sweet to have a friend who has seen you through all the seasons of adulthood, and the story of redemption I’ve seen in Eryn’s life has given me so much hope for the work God is doing in mine. We cry a lot in this episode – we sat down to record just days after the tremendous heartbreak of lightning striking her parents’ 20,000-square-foot barn. The devastating fire destroyed heirlooms and family photos they’ll never get back. You’ll hear us process through that together. And because we’ve been friends through various dating and marriage contexts, we also talk about fighting to not find our worth in men, and that’s a conversation I think A LOT of women need to hear today.Thank you to our two incredible sponsors for this season of the Still Coloring podcast: Bark Technologies and “Unshakeable Moxie” from Our Daily Bread Ministries!http://info.bark.us/tonihttps://go.odb.org/toni-moxieConnect with Eryn:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eryneddyYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@godhearsherodbmPodcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/god-hears-her-podcast/id1511046507Website: https://soworthloving.com/ Watch podcast episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tonijcollierSupport the Still Coloring Podcast: https://square.link/u/u2FkAzC7?src=sheetShop Toni's merch: https://www.shopetch.co/collections/toni-collierConnect with Toni: Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonijcollierPodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stillcoloringpodFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliertoniNewsletter: ToniJCollier.com/NewsletterWebsite: ToniJCollier.comPurchase Toni's newest book, Don’t Try This Alone: https://amzn.to/3BQqaBrPurchase Toni’s children’s book, Broken Crayons Still Color: https://amzn.to/3x3I4xDPurchase Toni’s first book, Brave Enough to be Broken: https://amzn.to/3VoCjVu

Alcohol and Accountability with Debra Fileta

I’m so excited for you to hear this conversation today with my friend Debra Fileta. Debra and I have been ministry friends for a while, but she’s played a unique and important role in my healing journey over the past year as it relates to wise counsel around numbing through alcohol. At the end of 2024, I made a decision that alcohol could not be a part of my life any more, and Debra is holding me accountable to what I’ve promised myself and the Lord. Think of this episode as a collab of sorts – I was on her podcast, “Talk to Me,” earlier this summer, and I’m bringing our conversation over here to my podcast listeners too. We talk about asking for help, revealing our weak spots, and learning to trust again after betrayal. I hope it’s a helpful conversation for you too! Thank you to our two incredible sponsors for this season of the Still Coloring podcast: Bark Technologies and “Unshakeable Moxie” from Our Daily Bread Ministries!http://info.bark.us/tonihttps://go.odb.org/toni-moxieConnect with Debra:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/DebraFileta/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@DebraFiletaPodcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/talk-to-me-the-debra-fileta-podcast/id1417804351Website: debrafileta.com Watch podcast episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tonijcollierSupport the Still Coloring Podcast: https://square.link/u/u2FkAzC7?src=sheetShop Toni's merch: https://www.shopetch.co/collections/toni-collierConnect with Toni: Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonijcollierPodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stillcoloringpodFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliertoniNewsletter: ToniJCollier.com/NewsletterWebsite: ToniJCollier.comPurchase Toni's newest book, Don’t Try This Alone: https://amzn.to/3BQqaBrPurchase Toni’s children’s book, Broken Crayons Still Color: https://amzn.to/3x3I4xDPurchase Toni’s first book, Brave Enough to be Broken: https://amzn.to/3VoCjVu

When New Friends Rally with Rachel Awtrey

You ever stumble into a friendship? You meet someone randomly or have a brief encounter with them and then realize that you’ve actually found a meaningful connection? That’s how I feel about Rachel Awtrey. Rachel had me on her podcast back in 2023 and asked about my marriage during the interview, not knowing I was in the early stages of going through my divorce. After the mics stopped recording, I opened up and asked if we could edit that part out, and Rachel saw me. She kept leaning in when she could have just moved on, and I felt genuinely cared for. Since then, she’s followed the Lord’s prompting to reach out in moments when she didn’t know I needed a tangible reminder of God’s love for me. I hope this episode gives you some bravery to start tiptoeing toward strangers and also provides some practical tips on finding and stewarding safe friendships. Rachel uses some gym metaphors for seeking joy in life, and you KNOW I loved those! Y’all go check out her new book too! Allies in Pain with Lisa Whittle and Jo Saxton

Jo Saxton and Lisa Whittle are who I call my “allies in pain.” They are like big sisters to me, lifelines whom I can text at any time for advice. The idea of “withness” that I talk about in my new book, someone’s presence with you in your pain – they have lived it out so beautifully. And they were relentless in making sure that I told the truth about the betrayal I experienced in my marriage two years ago. Lisa, Jo, and I have a conversation about finding (and being) trusted friends, saying the hard and difficult thing in a loving way, even when someone is in pain, and why it’s important that we process hard things with our integrated mind, body and soul in mind. We end the episode with Lisa and Jo mom’ing us a bit, sharing the best advice they’ve passed on to their own daughters. Thank you to our two incredible sponsors for this season of the Still Coloring podcast: Bark Technologies and “Unshakeable Moxie” from Our Daily Bread Ministries!info.bark.us/tonigo.odb.org/toni-moxieConnect with Lisa:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lisawhittle/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LisaWhittleOfficialPodcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/jesus-over-everything/id1327968510Website: www.lisawhittle.comOrder Lisa’s NEW book, Body & Soul A Biblical Look at the Whole Person God Created You to Be: https://www.lisawhittle.com/body“Imago Dei” trucker hatConnect with Jo:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/josaxtonPodcast: https://leadstoriespodcast.com/Website: www.josaxton.comEzer Collective (November 13-15, 2025): https://www.tickettailor.com/events/josaxton/1540510 Watch podcast episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tonijcollierSupport the Still Coloring Podcast: https://square.link/u/u2FkAzC7?src=sheetShop Toni's merch: https://www.shopetch.co/collections/toni-collierConnect with Toni: Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonijcollierPodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stillcoloringpodFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliertoniNewsletter: ToniJCollier.com/NewsletterWebsite: ToniJCollier.comPurchase Toni's newest book, Don’t Try This Alone: https://amzn.to/3BQqaBrPurchase Toni’s children’s book, Broken Crayons Still Color: https://amzn.to/3x3I4xDPurchase Toni’s first book, Brave Enough to be Broken: https://amzn.to/3VoCjVu

Godly Adult Friendships with Jackie Hill Perry and Megan Ashley

Jackie Hill Perry and Megan Ashley became friends within the last few years and it’s not an exaggeration to say that their friendship has literally blessed millions. They were once strangers but now they spur each other on in ministry, pray together, keep each other accountable, and fight for unity… and I think we can all learn something from the way they prioritize their friendship. There’s a lot of fear when it comes to friendship, but I pray that this conversation helps you to see just how sacred friendship can be when you intentionally create safety and pursue Christ together. Thank you to our two incredible sponsors for this season of the Still Coloring podcast: Bark Technologies and “Unshakeable Moxie” from Our Daily Bread Ministries!http://info.bark.us/tonihttps://go.odb.org/toni-moxieConnect with Jackie:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jackiehillperryYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCElWlmvQnOnlPvhVdvBoQJQSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0Lf9qKpKwy6fJtfM7UWLV0?si=OENzYMk7RgiEzW8yTF7u0gPodcast: https://www.youtube.com/@WithThePerrysWebsite: http://jackiehillperry.comConnect with Megan:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/immeganashleyYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@ImmeganashleyPodcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/in-totality-with-megan-ashley/id1614077859Website: http://themeganashley.com Watch podcast episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tonijcollierSupport the Still Coloring Podcast: https://square.link/u/u2FkAzC7?src=sheetShop Toni's merch: https://www.shopetch.co/collections/toni-collierConnect with Toni: Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonijcollierPodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stillcoloringpodFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliertoniNewsletter: ToniJCollier.com/NewsletterWebsite: ToniJCollier.comPurchase Toni's newest book, Don’t Try This Alone: https://amzn.to/3BQqaBrPurchase Toni’s children’s book, Broken Crayons Still Color: https://amzn.to/3x3I4xDPurchase Toni’s first book, Brave Enough to be Broken: https://amzn.to/3VoCjVu

    Pain Into Purpose

Well, hey friends! It’s been a minute! The last season of Still Coloring hit your feeds last summer, and a whole lot has happened since then. Last season, every episode you heard was just me, recounting all of the ways God (and His people) showed up for me in the darkest moments of my life. It was vulnerable and tear-filled and I hope so very encouraging to anyone going through something similar. The podcast is back for a new season, and I’m excited for you to hear these conversations about community, grief, mental health, and friendship. But first, I wanted to intro Season 7 with a deeply personal reflections on life after betrayal. Thank you to our two incredible sponsors for this season of the Still Coloring podcast: Bark Technologies and “Unshakeable Moxie” from Our Daily Bread Ministries!http://info.bark.us/tonihttps://go.odb.org/toni-moxie Watch podcast episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tonijcollierSupport the Still Coloring Podcast: https://square.link/u/u2FkAzC7?src=sheetShop Toni's merch: https://www.shopetch.co/collections/toni-collierConnect with Toni: Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonijcollierPodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stillcoloringpodFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliertoniNewsletter: ToniJCollier.com/NewsletterWebsite: ToniJCollier.comPurchase Toni's newest book, Don’t Try This Alone: https://amzn.to/3BQqaBrPurchase Toni’s children’s book, Broken Crayons Still Color: https://amzn.to/3x3I4xDPurchase Toni’s first book, Brave Enough to be Broken: https://amzn.to/3VoCjVu

    People of Grief

To finish out Season 6 of the Still Coloring podcast, I want to give you some snippets of conversations I’ve had recently with three voices I trust to speak into my own life and grief – Dr. Curt Thompson, Dr. Alison Cook, and Debra Fileta. These three licensed professional counselors have some good stuff to share, and I hope you find hope and direction in what they have to say. It’s real good, I promise. Thank you to my two incredible sponsors for this season of the Still Coloring podcast: Bark Technologies and Dwell Differently! Pain is Not Wasted

I believe that when God brings you to a Red Sea moment in your life, He’s going to part it. We serve the God of miracles, and He’s still working miracles every single day. And no matter what it is you’re facing, He has a plan to bring you back to His goodness. The pain you feel, the heartache you’re enduring, the loneliness and depression and sadness… not one bit of it will be wasted in the story God is writing – I promise you. Thank you to my two incredible sponsors for this season of the Still Coloring podcast: Bark Technologies and Dwell Differently! I’m Safe and So Are You

I want to tell y’all the story of one of my favorite scriptures, Psalm 91. It was given to me by a deacon in a church during a church service that I barely wanted to be at, and at the time it didn’t mean a thing to me. But it came alive to me during a “spiritual encounter” weekend retreat where I was finally pursuing being a follower of God and not just a fan. I realized that God’s word comes most alive when we are looking for God Himself. Let’s go find Him. He isn’t too far. Thank you to my two incredible sponsors for this season of the Still Coloring podcast: Bark Technologies and Dwell Differently! God Provides, Again and Again

I have a tendency to live in a scarcity mindset about money, that there’s not going to be enough of it, and when I do have it, I might lose it. Maybe you feel that way too. Finances can impact what we believe about God, but goodness, do I have some God winks to tell you about the ways He’s provided in this season of my divorce. I was scared to take time off the stage because speaking is how I make money, but I heard God say, “Toni, I am the author of good things. I am working out all things out for the good of those who love me. Love me, follow me, surrender to me, and I got you.” He’s got you too, friend. We Need a Savior and His People

One thing that has been super consistent in this season of my life is how my community has SHOWN UP for me. God saw fit that out-of-town friends would physically be down the hall when I got the worst phone call of my life. They’ve comforted me and helped me discover things about myself that I hadn’t realized before. My community furnished my new home and reminded me of my purpose, coaching me through attacks of the enemy when in a moment I believed that the pain would absolutely crush me.Listen, friends. We need each other. We can't heal alone. So, after you run to your Savior in moments of pain and darkness, make sure you find your people too. Thank you to my two incredible sponsors for this season of the Still Coloring podcast: Bark Technologies and Dwell Differently! From the 1 to the 99

I tell people all the time to “embrace your pain,” and now coming out of the devastation of the past six months, I have to call myself to that same standard. So, I’m sharing the story of what God has brought me through. This season is called “God Winks, Moxie and Rescue,” and I’ll tell you more about those things in this first episode, starting with a look at the parable of the wandering sheep in Matthew 18.  Sneak peek: Sometimes we’re the 1 and sometimes we’re the 99. I am going to bring you all the way in. This is probably going to be my most vulnerable series of podcast episodes ever because it's me processing through some of the hardest moments I've ever had to walk through. In Season 6, you'll hear me shining a light on how God came for me in my darkest moments at the end of 2023. And how He's coming for you too, friend. God is still on the move. Technology, Kids and How To Get It Right with Bark Technologies

We decided this season needed one final episode, and it’s with Titania Jordan of Bark Technologies! Let’s go deep on the topic of navigating the online world with our kids. I’m not even exaggerating when I tell you that Bark is absolutely revolutionary and has changed my life as a parent. Titania is mom to a high schooler, and she serves as the Chief Parent Officer and CMO of Bark. Today she shares with us some pretty scary statistics from their annual report that analyzed 4.5 billion data points across 30 social media platforms, but with this bit of fear comes a whole lotta hope! Let’s be a safe space for our kids. We have an incredible opportunity to take the things we didn’t have access to and the ways tech hurt us and get it right for the next generation. And Bark’s gonna help us do it.This season of the Still Coloring podcast is sponsored by Bark Technologies. Transracial Adoption, Privilege, and Belonging with Kendall Mariah Tart

Today’s podcast guest, Kendall Mariah Tart, says she wants to authentically and unapologetically engage in conversations that are sometimes really uncomfortable, so we go there in this episode! Kendall is a self-described “modern southern housewife” with a husband in the active military and a beautiful adopted daughter who is Black. As a blonde-haired white woman in America, Kendall has navigated some hard things in her parenting journey, so we talk about what it looks like to parent a child outside of your race. It’s all about honoring them and their humanity. Kendall has some bold thoughts and I appreciate her perspective, curiosity, and convictions so very much. This season of the Still Coloring podcast is sponsored by Bark Technologies. Don’t Parent Alone with Heather MacFadyen

Parenting is a treacherous journey – don’t we all know this to be true! But the beautiful thing is, we don’t have to do it alone. We shouldn’t do it alone. Today I talk with Heather MacFadyen, the founder of a brand and podcast called Don’t Mom Alone, about the idea of community. It can be awkward to seek out and pray specifically for, but we’ll be better parents if we find like-minded people to walk through this with. And Heather says that of course, parents matter, but we’re not the end-all, be-all, and that’s both hard and incredibly freeing to realize. Don’t mom – parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle, etc. – alone, okay? Find your people! This season of the Still Coloring podcast is sponsored by Bark Technologies. I think she’s so brilliant. We talk about helping kids process through trauma and emotions, because Lord knows they come jam-packed with BIG feelings. We talk about re-parenting ourselves so that we can be better parents for our kids. And Chinwé talks about why she doesn’t think anxiety isn’t necessarily 100% bad – God created us to have an alarm system that prepares us for threat. I’ve got a real-life friend with me today, my girl Wanda Mulzac! I just love her story and how she has pointed to God through the heartache and the joy of their journey to parenthood. Winning at Work and Motherhood with Aarti Sequeira

If you love Food Network, you likely know and love Aarti Sequeira like I do, and I’m so excited that we’ve got her on this season of Still Coloring! Aarti once won her season of Food Network Star and regularly serves as a guest judge on shows like Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen and Guy’s Grocery Games. Today you’ll hear my conversation with Aarti about being a working mom and what it’s like to show our kids how to go out and chase their dreams – with all of the emotions that are wrapped up in that, too. We discuss the tension of competing priorities with work, travel, and family life, and Aarti points to Jesus as the example of how to seek rest and solitude from good, hard work. Bringing Our Complaints to God with Lauren Chandler

Lauren Chandler wraps up the season with some really incredible encouragement – if you’re facing something really hard or painful or dark, know that it won’t be that way forever. Be honest with God and ask Him for the desire to move toward Him. And if all you have is a complaint, bring that to Him. He knows your heart already but delights when you let Him into it.Connect with Lauren:Instagram | SubstackWebsite: LaurenChandler.comOrder Lauren’s latest book, Praise Him Watch podcast episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tonijcollierSupport the Still Coloring Podcast: https://square.link/u/u2FkAzC7?src=sheetShop Toni's merch: https://www.shopetch.co/collections/toni-collierConnect with Toni: Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonijcollierPodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stillcoloringpodFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliertoniNewsletter: ToniJCollier.com/NewsletterWebsite: ToniJCollier.comPurchase Toni's newest book, Don’t Try This Alone: https://amzn.to/3BQqaBrPurchase Toni’s children’s book, Broken Crayons Still Color: https://amzn.to/3x3I4xDPurchase Toni’s first book, Brave Enough to be Broken: https://amzn.to/3VoCjVu

The Mind of God with Jordan Welch

No matter how dark things get in life, God is still there with a plan, and today’s podcast guest graciously walks us through that promise. Jordan Welch doesn’t just sing beautiful worship songs – she lives by them. She talks in this episode about how we don’t need to have or know God’s exact plan in order to walk in obedience to Him; we just need to trust Him. Jordan says, “If you’re tired, burnt out, or exhausted, check the calibration of your knowing and believing that God loves you.” Ooh, that’s good.  Connect with Jordan:Instagram | YouTube | FacebookWebsite: JordiGMusic.comCheck out Journaling with Jordi journaling prompts Watch podcast episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tonijcollierSupport the Still Coloring Podcast: https://square.link/u/u2FkAzC7?src=sheetShop Toni's merch: https://www.shopetch.co/collections/toni-collierConnect with Toni: Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonijcollierPodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stillcoloringpodFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliertoniNewsletter: ToniJCollier.com/NewsletterWebsite: ToniJCollier.comPurchase Toni's newest book, Don’t Try This Alone: https://amzn.to/3BQqaBrPurchase Toni’s children’s book, Broken Crayons Still Color: https://amzn.to/3x3I4xDPurchase Toni’s first book, Brave Enough to be Broken: https://amzn.to/3VoCjVu

Designed to Create with Cecily Hennigan

[Potential trigger warning – Cecily briefly discusses suicidal thoughts at the top of the show.]Cecily Hennigan is pursuing God like crazy, and it’s so encouraging to see! You may remember Cecily from a viral video singing in the McDonald’s drive-thru or from her time on Team Blake on NBC’s The Voice. On today’s episode, Cecily talks about the prayer she prayed the night before the Battle Rounds: ‘Lord, if you would take all of this from me so that I could know you, have it.’ And it all ended the next day. She says she’s seen everything the world could want to give her – money, social media followers – and none of it was satisfying. But now she’s creating music with a right view of her identity as a creative. And friend, Your Creator God is still creating beauty in you, even in the midst of your pain.  Connect with Cecily:Instagram | Spotify  Watch podcast episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tonijcollierSupport the Still Coloring Podcast: https://square.link/u/u2FkAzC7?src=sheetShop Toni's merch: https://www.shopetch.co/collections/toni-collierConnect with Toni: Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonijcollierPodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stillcoloringpodFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliertoniNewsletter: ToniJCollier.com/NewsletterWebsite: ToniJCollier.comPurchase Toni's newest book, Don’t Try This Alone: https://amzn.to/3BQqaBrPurchase Toni’s children’s book, Broken Crayons Still Color: https://amzn.to/3x3I4xDPurchase Toni’s first book, Brave Enough to be Broken: https://amzn.to/3VoCjVu

Stretched in the Valley with Casey J

Casey J is an award-winning singer, producer and worship leader, and she loves coaching worship leaders to go deep in their relationship with God so that they can lead others well. In today’s episode, Casey talks about how we think saying ‘yes’ to God in the valley means that things will work out better, even faster, for us… but it’s during those times that our faith is stretched. With time and retrospection, we’ll see how God was working during those hard seasons, and our faith will increase as we come to trust God’s goodness based on His track record.   Connect with Casey J:Instagram | YouTube | SpotifyWebsite: CaseyJMusic.com Watch podcast episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tonijcollierSupport the Still Coloring Podcast: https://square.link/u/u2FkAzC7?src=sheetShop Toni's merch: https://www.shopetch.co/collections/toni-collierConnect with Toni: Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonijcollierPodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stillcoloringpodFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliertoniNewsletter: ToniJCollier.com/NewsletterWebsite: ToniJCollier.comPurchase Toni's newest book, Don’t Try This Alone: https://amzn.to/3BQqaBrPurchase Toni’s children’s book, Broken Crayons Still Color: https://amzn.to/3x3I4xDPurchase Toni’s first book, Brave Enough to be Broken: https://amzn.to/3VoCjVu

The Gift of Lament with Beth Redman

Beth Redman says, “I choose to surrender because I as a human don’t know how to make this better, so I surrender to a God who does.” Toni and Beth also discuss deconstruction in a really honoring and beautiful way. If that’s something you’re battling with, Beth has some grace, scripture, and strategy for you in this conversation. She’s a great worshiper – not because of the songs she and her husband Matt write, but because she chooses to worship God in the secret places. Oooh, this one’s good. Trusting God in the Mystery with Christy Nockels

In this episode, Christy says that we are worshippers and we’re all worshipping something… and we’re really good at it. But sometimes it’s not always God that we’re worshipping. We often replace him with other things. And sometimes, if we’re not careful, we can even worship our own trauma – yikes! In this conversation, Christy helps us to reframe the idea of worship so that we can worship the right thing: the God who sees us and gives us courage to endure whatever we’re walking through.  Connect with Christy:Instagram | YouTube | Spotify | PodcastWebsite: ChristyNockels.comListen to ‘This Is The Hour’ Purchase Christy’s book: ’The Life You Long For: Learning to Live from a Heart of Rest’ Watch podcast episodes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@tonijcollierSupport the Still Coloring Podcast: https://square.link/u/u2FkAzC7?src=sheetShop Toni's merch: https://www.shopetch.co/collections/toni-collierConnect with Toni: Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonijcollierPodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stillcoloringpodFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliertoniNewsletter: ToniJCollier.com/NewsletterWebsite: ToniJCollier.comPurchase Toni's newest book, Don’t Try This Alone: https://amzn.to/3BQqaBrPurchase Toni’s children’s book, Broken Crayons Still Color: https://amzn.to/3x3I4xDPurchase Toni’s first book, Brave Enough to be Broken: https://amzn.to/3VoCjVu

    Season 4 Preview

The theme of Season 4 is "Worshipping When it Hurts." It's easy to worship God when everything is going good, but when it's not... when anxiety and depression comes, or when trauma rears its ugly head, or when the enemy looks for ways to tempt us with our addictions... it's difficult to worship an unseen God. This season, Toni will have conversations with friends, singer-songwriters and worship leaders who've been through hard things, and who have fought to continue worshipping Him even when it hurts. We can't wait for you to hear these conversations! Here's to another season of the Still Coloring podcast!Want to partner with Toni and advertise on the podcast? Reach out here.
