Google has been populating my homepage with lots of bird stories. Never asked it to. I guess it's just the nature the beast nowadays. Handy though, as it does the leg work for me.

My dot sight videos on Youtube have always done ok, nothing special, but they have blown right up on Facebook & Instagram. I wasn't prepared for the comments.

A run down of my week holiday with some birdwatching over in Malta. I am currently uploading several vlogs on my Youtube channel with lots of info, video, and photos, so start keeping an eye for those.

In this podcast and corresponding Youtube vlog, I discuss the controversial topic of bird lifers. What counts as a lifer, lifer lists, and what happens when science lumps or splits a species.

Trying a VERY long form for a change. Just left the mic running while I walked around. The thought is that people will just like something quiet playing in the background as they go about their daily business. Let me know if you like this sort of thing.

Negative comments that actually help, I do more local vlogs due to fuel costs, and uploading old vlogs but edited better.

A ;ate catch up on my trip to Dungeness where I finally got my first Tundra Bean Geese. At least 7 in the same shot. Stumbling on a big flock of tree sparrows & yellowhammer.

I open with a complaint against my increased content. Is it justified. I think so. Product reviews upcoming, and generally putting the world to rights.

Last night, the 5th of February 2026, I passed the million mark milestone.  For anyone interested, I give a long form explanation of where it started, what I learned along the way, and pass on anything that will help anyone struggling, or thinking of starting a channel. 

I go for a walk to Crossness to film a vlog idea, practise my settings muscle memory, listen to a Robin sing, and all the news on products I am reviewing & my new Amazon storefront.

I’m going to start doing these catch up/overviews of everything that’s going on. Travels, products, any advice to pass on, new bird stuff to look out for etc.

This super rare vagrant bird, which is usually found as far east as Japan, has landed on UK shores.

1000s of Tundra Bean & Russian White Fronted Geese have arrived in the UK over the last few days. How come?

The story was centred on DJI, but is in fact all new drones from all other countries over security concerns. 

I get some birding drama off my chest regarding a big moment caught on film.

A DNA test has been carried out and the real identity has been revealed.

On the night of the 6th of December 2025 a Scops owl was seen near Swansea.
