On this edition of “Straight Shooting with Pistol Pete”, I had the opportunity to talk with Michael Kay. Michael is a current play-by-play announcer for the Yankees on the YES Network and is also the host of the number one afternoon radio show in New York, the Michael Kay Show, which can be heard weekdays from 3-7 p.m. on ESPN 98.7 FM and seen on the YES Network. We discussed the origin of his signature home run call “See Ya!”, his interview with George Steinbrenner immediately following the Yankees loss to the Seattle Mariners in Game 5 of the 1995 ALDS, his favorite Derek Jeter moment, what’s happening with baseball during the coronavirus pandemic and much more!

Powell is a Georgia native and is in his 27th year as a Major League broadcaster. We discussed his recent induction into the Georgia Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame, Bob Uecker’s famous home run call, the importance of CC Sabathia for the Brewers in 2008, his thoughts on the Braves and Ronald Acuna Jr. and much more!

Nancy joined the YES Network in 2003 and is the lead anchor for YES' “Yankees Batting Practice Today”. She is also the host of the “Yankees Magazine” on YES. We discussed the time she met Hank Aaron as a young broadcaster at CNN, her interview with Wayne Gretzky, the ability (or lack thereof) to ice skate, her broadcasting career and much more!

Vinny is the former leader of the “roll call” for the right field "Bleacher Creatures" at Yankee Stadium and is the creator of “Bald Vinny’s House of Tees”, an apparel company that features unique designed Yankees-related attire.
