Episode 46 - In the early morning hours of September 4, 1972, three masked men entered the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts through the roof via a skylight and successfully stole valuable paintings, figurines and jewelry and escaped into the night. Episode 43 - On November 10th 1975, the largest ship on the Great Lakes sailed into one of the worst storms Lake Superior had ever seen. The ship attempted to make it to shore in Whitefish Bay but ended up vanishing without a trace, never reaching its destination. The SS Edmund Fitzgerald, considered the pride of American inland shipping, was lost along with twenty-nine crew members. At the time nobody knew what happened to the ship as it had simply disappeared. It was eventually found a few days later at the bottom of Lake Superior split in two parts. What happened to the boat and why did it sink the night of November 10th? Episode 42 - On May 10th, 1973, in the sleepy town of Kenora, Ontario. A man entered the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) on Main Street. He was armed with a rifle, a handgun, and a bomb. He demanded money from the bank and wouldn’t leave until he got what he wanted. Police officers arrived at the scene as well as a thousand civilians. Episode 40 - On November 11th, 1975, a Canadian air force base in Falconbridge, Ontario picked up an unidentified object on their radar. Not only was this object detected by radar, but people could see it from the ground as well. Two fighter jets were scrambled to intercept the object but couldn't find it. This case is important as the witnesses involved here were highly credible military personnel and police officers. But what exactly did they see? Episode 39 - The city of Abbotsford, British Columbia was calm on October 13th, 1995. Two teenagers were coming back from a party and decided to go to their friend’s house as they weren’t ready to call it a night. When they were walking, the teenagers were suddenly attacked by someone who jumped out of the bushes with a baseball bat. One of the girls managed to make it on foot to a nearby hospital while the other disappeared. Episode 38 - On May 16th, 2022, the partial remains of a woman were discovered in a garbage bin behind an apartment building in Winnipeg. The resulting investigation pointed towards the work of a serial killer and as time went on more people would be linked to this case. As of now in 2025, 4 indigenous women have been officially identified as victims however, finding these women’s bodies was a different story and one that was compounded heavily by politics. The investigation into finding some of the missing women was stalled and resisted. But why? Episode 37 - On the afternoon of July 31, 1987, the city of Edmonton, Alberta, was struck by a sudden natural disaster. An exceptionally powerful tornado tore through the eastern edge of the city leaving behind a path of destruction. This was one of the deadliest tornadoes in Canadian history injuring many and leaving 27 people dead in its wake. The event came to be known to the citizens of Edmonton as Black Friday. Episode 36 - On December 15th, 2017, the bodies of 75-year-old Barry Sherman and his 70-year-old wife Honey Sherman were discovered in a room that contained their swimming pool. After an initial investigation, the police implied that this might be a case of murder-suicide but did not state it directly. It would prove to be a grave mistake. A separate private investigation conducted their own investigation and determined that Barry and Honey were actually the victims of murder. Why would one of Canada’s most well-known philanthropic couples be murdered and why did the police get it wrong? After an initial investigation, the police implied that this might be a case of murder-suicide but did not state it directly. It would prove to be a grave mistake. A separate private investigation conducted their own investigation and determined that Barry and Honey were actually the victims of murder. Episode 26 - Beginning in 2007, an individual was breaking into people's homes in the area of Tweed and Belleville in Ontario, Canada. They would pose in women’s and girl’s undergarments and steal them. The same thing began happening in the Ottawa suburb of Orleans, but these crimes started to escalate. Police believed that as this person kept evading authorities, they would become more emboldened with their crimes, sinking deeper into their fantasy. Their worst fears were realized. In 2009, a woman was found murdered in her home and another woman was reported missing a few months later. Police would eventually find their suspect, but it was the last person they expected. July 8th, 1965. Air Traffic Control in Vancouver was relatively quiet, and everything appeared normal. All of a sudden, they received a transmission “Mayday, mayday, mayday” but from who? Little did they know, one of their passenger planes carrying 52 people on board had crashed in a forest near 100 Mile House in the Cariboo Regional District of British Columbia. An explosion inside the plane caused it to spiral towards the earth. But this explosion wasn’t accidental, it was a bomb. Who planted this bomb and why? Answers that have eluded investigators to this day making this one of Canada’s biggest unsolved cold cases. Did police have the right suspects, or did someone get away with mass murder undetected?

During the 1970’s, the cities of London, Ontario and Guelph, Ontario were plagued by a series of strange and horrifying murders. One woman was found to have been killed in her apartment but police were not able to find any signs of forced entry or even a struggle. Not long after, another woman was murdered in her apartment in an almost identical way. And then another. The police began to suspect a serial killer was in their midst. He was dubbed by the media as “The Bedroom Strangler”. But what would shock police even more, was when they found out the killer had already gotten away with murder, multiple times. The Bedroom Strangler would turn out to be one of Canada’s most violent and prolific serial killers. But how exactly did he pull it off without being detected?

November 29th, 1980 was a particularly dark and stormy night. A man from Duncan, British Columbia named Granger Taylor left a note for his parents to find. The note stated that he was about to embark upon a 42-month interstellar journey on an alien spacecraft and would return after his voyage was complete. Granger Taylor was never seen again by anyone, and this case remains one of Canada’s strangest and enduring mysteries. When it comes to UFO sightings and claims, most of the stories are heard from witnesses which could be argued as hearsay. But what if I told you that there was a case close to Ottawa near the small town of Carp, Ontario where there was actually evidence of a UFO. This week, Jarret and Pat are looking into the Banff Springs Hotel and its alleged haunting. Our story tonight takes place in Montreal, Quebec. More specifically, Montreal's Hotel Bonaventure. Regarded as one of the city's most prestigious hotels, it takes up the top two floors of one of the city’s biggest convention centers, the 17 storey Place Bonaventure. The hotel contains 397 spacious rooms but what sets it apart from other hotels, is the year-round heated rooftop pool, the 2.5-acre rooftop garden complete with trees, flowers and if the pool wasn't enough there are also waterfalls and a jacuzzi. While this might seem like an oasis or a paradise full of relaxation, on November 7, 1990, Hotel Bonaventure was anything but that. In this week's show, I am joined by a special guest and we are looking at the Babes in the Woods unsolved murder case. A garden caretaker of Stanley Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, was clearing brush deep in the woods near Beaver Lake when he heard and felt something crunch under his foot. This week's episode is going to be a little different, rooted more in history but with some interesting speculation. We are going to explore the mysterious and haunted walls of Tranquille Sanatorium in Kamloops, British Columbia. Opening in 1907 and closing in 1991, it has changed faces many times from a hospital for treating tuberculosis, to a hospital for people with mental illness. In Vancouver, British Columbia. 65 women went missing from Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, between the years 1978 and 2001, probably more that weren’t ever reported. Of that 65, 26 were found to have been murdered. These murders led to Canada's largest investigation of serial killer Robert Pickton. He was a pig farmer living in a small town in Vancouver. October 4th, 1967. It was a clear fall night. The small town of Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia lay still next to the icy waters of the Atlantic. However, residents of the town noticed strange orange lights flashing in the sky above the water.  The lights descended rapidly towards the water’s surface. The lights impacted the water causing a bright flash and a loud boom which sounded like an explosion. However, there was no sign of a crash. Instead, the lights moved across the water and then slowly dipped beneath the surface. You are in a kayak paddling across a beautiful lake. You are taking in the views of mountains and trees when suddenly a wave pushes upward from under the surface of the water. In 1967 during the May long weekend, an amateur prospector from River Heights, Winnipeg named Stefan Michalak ventured into Whiteshell Provincial Park to search for quartz and silver at Falcon Lake. After finding a spot to begin prospecting he was interrupted by two flying objects that glowed red. One of these objects landed in front of him. Stefan observed the object and eventually got closer. On April 25th, 5-year-old Julia Johnson played with her tennis ball outside her house while waiting for a neighborhood friend to get home from school. RCMP James Blackwood from Clarenville, NL responds to a call of a UFO being spotted in the sky. He arrives at the scene and is witness to an aircraft in the sky. He observes it moving for over an hour before it flies away at unworldly speeds.
