Burnout to Discipline: How to Train Your Mind Like Your Body | Struck by Enlightenment Ep 12

In this episode of Struck by Enlightenment Kristen talks with Johnny Behman, who has been through music school, trained bodies in the gym, sharpened his skills in the kitchen, and now works with his family’s financial team. This episode is about what happens when you hit your limit. Not just physically, but mentally. We talk about setting goals that feel out of reach, the pressure of expectations, and what it means to actually honor the rhythm of your body. Do I Stay or Do I Go? Real Talk on Relationships | Struck By Enlightenment Ep 11

I’ve known Ken Huff since 1998 and our conversations always hit on something real. In this episode, we ask a question a lot of people avoid: how do you know when a relationship is falling apart and when it’s time to leave? We talk about staying true to yourself, how your own integrity shapes the way you show up, and what it means to actually listen to what isn’t working. We get into the idea that relationships aren’t always 50/50. I break down why saying “I” instead of “you” can shift everything, what to do when your partner speaks a different love language, and how to stop trying to fix someone. Real connection starts when you’re honest about the experience you want to have and you invite someone into it with you. Whether it’s romance, friendship, or family, it all begins with you.

Gut Check: Fear, Change, and Learning to Trust Yourself | Struck By Enlightenment Ep 10

I sat down with Christine Sarno-Olson, a realtor based out of the Palm Beaches, to talk about something bigger than the housing market. Change. The kind that creeps in when you least expect it. The kind your gut whispers about before your brain catches on. Christine opened up about what it takes to stop resisting what’s already trying to move you forward. We talked through how fear doesn’t always scream. It lingers, repeats, and shows up in patterns until you finally stop and look at it. Sometimes the choice isn’t between staying or going. It’s between jumping and flying. She shares how society might be telling you no while your intuition is already saying yes. And how female energy plays a different role in intuition, especially when it’s been trained to compete with itself. We got real about what it takes to look inside, get honest about the hesitation, and move forward anyway. Not because someone told you to, but because something inside you is already doing it.

Redefining Resolutions: 75 hard, New Year Resolutions, Routines, and Finding Yourself | Struck By Enlightenment EP 09

Resolutions come and go, but real change sticks when it fits you. In this episode of Struck by Enlightenment, I sit down with Michelle Smisek, an actress with a decade in theatre, to unravel the truth about motivation, routines, and personal growth. We’re often told that motivation is the key to success, but what if that’s not true? What if forcing yourself into a routine has nothing to do with real, lasting change? Resolutions tend to be based on what we should do rather than what actually fits our lifestyle and energy. In this conversation, we challenge the traditional ideas of discipline and willpower, breaking down why external challenges like 75 Hard often fail, how to recognize what you genuinely enjoy in your daily life, and why small wins matter just as much as big achievements. If you’ve ever felt like you were failing at motivation or struggling to stick to a plan that just doesn’t feel right, this episode will help you rethink success, break free from expectations, and build a routine that truly works.

    Feeling Not Good Enough

You may have felt internally that you were not good enough - so you changed some aspect externally to receive approval to feel good enough. This lead you to believe your way isn't good enough and therefor thinking you need to change who you are. Today we learn how to look back and ask yourself where you learned to feel this way, so that you can discover who you are, beyond the judgment that took you away from YOU.

  23. 39

6 Steps to Moving Beyond Limiting Beliefs

Old beliefs can start to frame how you look at yourself and life. They can be so hidden that you don't even know they are there. More often than not, if things are not happening in your life as you wish them to be, there is a challenge inside you that is blocking that freedom of expression in this life. Let's look deeper into why identifying old beliefs is so important.

  24. 38

How to Communicate With Someone Who Is Difficult to Communicate With

When we invite someone else into our lives, hoping to expand our lives, and nothing is happening in the way of communication to do that - more often than not we need to look at the other person not wanting to communicate back. Today we are talking about communicating with people you may feel don't know how to communicate and what you can do to keep the dialog open so that you can be heard and understood.

  25. 37

Why We Attract Who We Attract | Struck by Enlightenment

When you find yourself in the same relationship over and over attracting the same types of people into your life - ask yourself, what am I learning about the challenges inside my life and what am I willing to do to heal them or live with them? Today we will talk about why we attract the people we attract.

  26. 36

You Don't Put Expectations Upon Yourself - Expectations Vs. Experience - Self-Mastery Part 4

The would SHOULD is important, it alerts you to expectations. Expectations are put upon you and are an external focus (which are limitations). When talking about self-mastery we move from an external focus to an internal focus. The internal focus is where you can identify the experience you wish to have. In self mastery you then live the experience you wish to have. Moving beyond expectations is a critical piece to your freedom as those limitations are not OF you.

  27. 35

Do Vs. Be | Understanding Self-Mastery Part 3

We have all heard the phrase "It's not what you say. It's what you do." I have even heard the reverse. If there is any ego involved then I'm doing and looking externally for the impact or reaction - in fear that if we don't go good enough then we are not going to be seen as good enough. In truth we are beyond good enough. So how can we just BE who we are - do vs. be.

  28. 34

    Thought Vs. Emotion | Understanding Self-Mastery - Part 2

When we talk about self-mastery we must go beyond the thoughts to know what is going on inside. Your thoughts will tell you whats going on inside. In self-mastery we learn to attend to the thoughts as a doorway to the emotion, and then we want to tend to the emotion and learn from where it came. All fear-based emotions create our challenges. In self-mastery, this is exactly what we want to look at.

  29. 33

Control Vs. Freedom | Understanding Self-Mastery Part 1

You can't free yourself from something you don't accept exists. Challenges are always associated with fear-based emotions. This exists in all of us. In Self-Mastery you learn to master those challenges by asking "from where does this come?" As you learn to do this you begin to open yourself to freedom. In that freedom you learn who you are in truth.Understanding Self-Mastery Part 1

  30. 32

    Truth Vs. Illusion

When we start to know we come into this life from the energy of pure love, everything that makes up love in our world is inherently a part of this energy from which we come. We call that energy a soul, and it inhabits this life. So that truth is of that energy. In mastery what we look at is how illusion aligns with fear and how the substantial truth aligns with love. Where there is love there is no fear. Where there is fear there is no love.Self Vs. Other Part 3

  31. 31

    Speaking from Your Inner Self

We weren't taught to look inside ourselves and know why we wish to be who we wish to be. Who are you? It's time to unveil that now - to be heard and known, learning to speak from Self and not from Other. What old beliefs to we have that no longer serve us or define you? In this video I talk about how you know when you are speaking from your inner Self.Self vs. Other Part 2

  32. 30

The Mastery Paradox: Self vs. Other

All of us started out learning to think externally because we were told growing up what to think, what to wear, who to be, etc. As we get older we realize that isn't who we are. Do we try to keep up with those perceptions of us, or do we try to break free of expectations and live in our truth? In my latest podcast you will get to learn more about the Self vs. Other experience and language from which you speak when expressing yourself.

  33. 29

How To Successfully Communicate in Your Relationships

Today I talk about communication, the way I teach it, which might not be how you learned it. For the most part we are told what to do as we grow up, how to be, what to wear. We then try to meet the expectations of our parents, family, friends, etc. When we get into relationships we then set expectations for others and often tell others about who we think they are. It's often the reason people feel so unheard in their relationship. Let's explore how to "rethink" communicating and learn how to know who we truly are so that we can teach others.

  34. 28

What Is the Energy of Your Soul?

What is the energy of life and what does that mean? Just about everyone talks about the soul leaving the body at the “end” of this life. What is the soul? The soul is an energy and energy does not end. It changes form but always has been, always will be and always is. So that soul energy must be “something” before it enters this life. And so it is. It appears to be a source of and sourced from the energy of love. Love is abundance! It is infinite in its pure experience. Energy is abundant and forever. Abundance and love are freedom. Today I talk more about how we perceive the soul and its energy.

  35. 27

What Is the Definition of Love?

Pretty much everyone agrees we have a soul or some kind of life energy that runs this human body. Therefore, we all come from a source of energy. And that energy is love. Pure love. That is why we cannot have enough words to describe the myriad ways we express and experience love. That is why everyone, in their own way, is looking for love in this lifetime. So, in this podcast, I will talk a little about love.

  36. 26

How Fears and Old Beliefs Stop Your Dreams From Manifesting

As I mentioned in my blog on manifestation, you manifest your joys and your fears. Those fears can be in your awareness or hidden. In this episode, we will talk about fears, doubts, and/or beliefs that interrupt the desired manifestation.  We will look at how you can begin to unfold and eliminate those interruptions to your manifestation. Finally, you will gain an understanding of the interruptions so that you are manifesting that for which you wish. The first thing is to identify those fears and doubts that are interrupting the manifestation of your dreams. Synchronicity, which I have spoken about in another blog, is one of the most powerful ways to become aware of those fears or doubts that are interrupting your dreams. Your dream time during sleep will illuminate your fears and doubts in life.  Your sleep-time dreams let you know what you are ready to heal.

  37. 25

How to Live In a State of Manifestation

How can you live in a state of manifestation? It's a question I am asked very often, especially when it comes to moving beyond those challenges people face that stand in their way.Our challenges are developed from the fear that we learned on this plane. They limit our love and freedom. Consequently, they limit our awareness of our connection to the energetic realm (universe, source, one, etc.).When we are limited to the physicality of this experience, we develop doubts that there is more beyond this existence. Those doubts block us from opening our pure intuition. So the more we master our challenges the more pure our connection to our intuition and to the One. We then unveil the belief in, and knowing of, all that is.Listen in as I explain more!

  38. 24

Everything You Need to Know About Manifestation

Manifestation. It is what you do to create. You manifest. You are always manifesting. It is a part of the Law of Attraction which is a law of all life: conscious and unconscious, physical and energetic.Unfortunately, most of your manifestation is done unconsciously or subconsciously. In this episode, we are going to look at where you are manifesting your dreams, where you feel like everything is just Groundhog’s Day — happening over and over again, and where you feel like you’re manifesting a nightmare.

  39. 23

    What is the Winter Solstice?

The Winter Solstice sets the stage for the rest of the holiday season and marks the beginning of winter in the northern hemisphere. It is the shortest day of the year and the longest night of the year. It is the darkest day.More powerful is the energy of the winter solstice, which you can use for life mastery and manifestation. The wintertime is a time of quiet, patience, going within. And the winter solstice is a time of quiet energy. Listen in as I talk more about this powerful time of year.

  40. 22

Are your New Year's Resolutions Actually Expectations?

People often set resolutions as the New Year approaches. Resolutions are actually a form of manifestation. However, there can be challenges along the way that may not lead you to the success you wish for. During the month of December we can utilize the energy of the Winter Solstice together with the teachings of the law of attraction to bring your dreams to life!

  41. 21

    Mastering Holiday Stress and Expectations

There have been myriad movies and books about going home for the holidays. Many are humorous, some are dark comedies and some are drama. Why is it that going home for the holidays is such an entertaining topic? Because a large majority of people can relate to the drama, craziness, and discord that surrounds a family gathering during the holidays. Today, I will talk about how expectations, assumptions, judgments, and taking things personally are a stage set for the mastery of challenges within you. I will also offer some thoughts about mastering the holidays so that you can have a magical holiday season!

  42. 20

    Loneliness

Loneliness is a deep feeling of not being lovable: an absence, a void. This life offers you the opportunity to master the fear and illusion of being separate. This life offers you the opportunity to master the feeling of loneliness as a gateway to mastering the fear and illusion of being separate. In this podcast Kristen discusses the thoughts and feelings behind loneliness and how no one is ever truly alone.

  43. 19

    How to Keep Love Alive

How do we keep our love alive? For love to continue it cannot be stopped and cannot be limited. Love is about opening, not closing. Open doors allow us to keep moving forward together. Limitations are about fear. Fear exists where there is no love and love exists where there is no fear. The limitations of fear stop love from opening and growing. The greater the relationship to you the more challenges are brought to light - but for you to heal. In a relationship each person must hold their responsibly for keeping love alive, keeping doors open and keeping themselves open to being seen and known. Today we will look at how each person can keep love alive in the relationship.

  44. 18

    The Warning Signs of Manipulation

People often use manipulation to get what they want out of the other person.  This becomes much more prevalent in your closest relationships.  People manipulate in good ways and not-so-good ways.  Let’s look at why people manipulate (even when it is without malintent), the ways in which people manipulate, and what that means about the health of that partnership. Listen in as I discuss the sings of and meanings behind manipulation in relationships.

  45. 17

    Gaslighting

We will often have a difference of perceptions, but there are times others want you to believe you aren't right - even when you are. When someone is so opposed to what you know is the truth, that is "gaslighting." Doubts can be created, people become vulnerable and dependent. Listen in as Kristen explains the real meaning of gaslighting in relationships.

  46. 16

Relationships: To Work or Not to Work

When do you work on your relationship, and when do you not? When are you working too hard? It's not the easiest question to answer. It is dependent on the relationships itself. Is it healthy or not? What IS a healthy relationship? What do you wish to experience in an ideal partnership? Watch todays video to explore further and answer these questions.
