Stumbling Ballerinas
by The 6am Crowd
Stumbling Ballerinas is a podcast about the gone-too-soon ABC Family show Bunheads! We're four friends who met at the Gilmore Girls reunion at the ATX Television Festival and decided to start a podcast about our other favorite Amy Sherman-Palladino creation! In this podcast we'll watch each episode while playing a little drinking game. For every Gilmore Girls actor or Amy Sherman-Palladino signature moment we take a drink of our chosen beverage. As the episode goes on we'll hopefully be nice and buzzed to provide some amusing commentary.

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - Next!
This is it, guys. The final episode. We did it. It only took us 3.5 years to get through 18 episodes. Thank you for sticking with us through the 6 month gaps between episodes and the episodes where we got so engrossed in the story that we barely spoke. We had a lot of fun and we hope you did too!...

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - It's Not A Mint
Three months in a row! Like I've always told you, you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything (points for knowing the quote). In this episode we talk about how it's about time that the incomparable Amy Sherman-Palladino finally got the Emmy recognition that she deserves! We also discuss...

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - There's Nothing Worse Than A Pantsuit
You guys. It only took a month. We made a plan and stuck to it. We know, we're shocked, too. In this episode we spend a lot of time actually discussing There's Nothing Worse Than A Pantsuit. Something new and different for us. As always you can contact us through Facebook (Stumbling Ballerinas),...
-
Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - Take the Vicuna
It took 6 months but we're back! In this episode we discuss Warren Buffett's position on the world's richest people list, Megan 1's extensive Friends knowledge (which some find odd, but she thinks is perfectly normal thank you very much), cat genitalia, and at some point in there we also manage…

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - The Astronaut and the Ballerina
Hello again! It's been a little while. We'd apologize but this seems to be pretty normal for us. In this episode we watch The Astronaut and the Ballerina. Megan 2's cat tries to attack her with a Bloody Mary, we complain about how Sutton and Hunter Foster have too much talent for one family, and...

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - A Conversation with Kaitlyn Jenkins
Welcome to this very special episode where we chat with Kaitlyn Jenkins, the lovely actress who portrayed our beloved Boo. She tells us about what it was like to work with Amy Sherman-Palladino and Sutton Foster, explained the insane audition process, and gave us an update on what she's been…

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - I'll Be Your Meyer Lansky
Welcome to "I'll Be Your Meyer Lansky." In this episode we discuss how odd it is that Boo doesn't appear, how much we miss her, and how mad we are at ABC Family for cancelling such a fabulous show when it was hitting its stride. We also experience some technical difficulty mid-episode but it…

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - Channing Tatum is a Fine Actor
You guys. We did it. We finally recorded "Channing Tatum is a Fine Actor." And it's not our best. Maybe Channing Tatum is our kryptonite. At least it's a form of kryptonite that's nice to look at. We'll do better next time, pinky swear. As always you can contact us through Facebook (Stumbling...
-
Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
This time we try something new and discuss the pilot of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Our format was a bit different, so let us know what you think. If this show gets picked up we'll need tips about how best to proceed, and you can listen to us work through the possibilities in the episode. As…

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - You Wanna See Something?
It hasn't been too long, has it? In this episode we discussed the inimitable Mary Tyler Moore (RIP) and how she shaped the Megans' tastes in television heroines, how Emily-like Fanny is in this episode, and we spend an insane amount of time debating the past shows of Michael Deluise's brother. As...
-
Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - A Nutcracker in Paradise
Shhh not so loud. Some of us are still recovering. We were joined by Christine and Tamar from The Shipping Room and we all drank a little more than we should have. In this episode we show Tamar just how crazy OG Gilmore Girls fans can be, we contemplate how many dogs is too many (8…

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life
You guys, it really happened. Gilmore Girls is back in our lives. We recorded a special episode discussing our feelings. Spoiler alert, we all loved it. So if you didn't love it, maybe skip this installment. We go over the Bunheads characters who pop up throughout the four seasons, rate each...
-
Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - No One Takes Khaleesi's Dragons
We have to keep you on your toes, so we're updating relatively quickly this time. This episode is pretty long, mainly because we had to discuss the Megans' trip to EW Pop Fest, Elizabeth's trip to the Gilmore Girls Fan Fest, and Eileen's experience at the Luke's pop-up in Houston. And at some…

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - Blank Up, It's Time
It took 6 months, but we're back! This episode is a little longer as we catch up on the past 6 months and discuss all of the Gilmore Girls related events taking place as we get ready for the revival. We also come to the realization that the reason we all dislike this episode is because of one 5...
-
Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - What's Your Damage, Heather?
I'd apologize for the delay, but by now you know we have no schedule. Think of new episodes as a nice surprise! The episode volume is a little low, so we do apologize for any moments where it sounds like silence. We were a little off our game and not as chatty this time around. In this episode we...
-
Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - Movie Truck
Check us out, posting a new episode in a somewhat timely manner. It probably helps that this episode is a group favorite and we were anxious to get to it. In this episode we discuss our love of Truly (and Stacy Oristano), the wonder that is the Cupcake ATM, and Megan 2 shares a story about being...
-
Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - Money for Nothing
Apologies yet again. We originally recorded this episode at the end of February but there were insane technical issues. It's comical just how many things went wrong with the recording and then the attempted editing. So we figured it was easier to just re-record but scheduling was an issue. I'd…

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - Better Luck Next Year
Right off the bat, we apologize for the 4 month delay in this episode. Life got in the way of the planned recording back in October and then the holidays made scheduling a big issue. Luckily the Gilmore Girls revival came along to perk us all back up again! In this episode, we discuss pretty much...

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - Inherit the Wind
In this episode, we discuss clocks, Saved by the Bell: The College Years, Friends, and we try to figure out who Megan 2 is thinking of when she confuses Alan Alda with an actor from Taxi. Sorry for the delay on this post, there were some technical difficulties with the recording so editing took a...

Stumbling Ballerinas: A Bunheads Podcast - For Fanny
In this episode we watch "For Fanny" and discuss the brilliance of Kelly Bishop (which we suspect will be a recurring theme), Sutton Foster's ability to look perfect in a simple sweater, and why pre-gaming will be important for our podcast going forward. As always, let us know if we missed any...
