Toxic Resolutions
Join JAF as we discuss the lackluster, loose-end littered culmination of Min Share3 Al Haram, a show which proves that having potential is not enough, and “recognizing you have a problem” is only the first step. PSA: If you’re suffering with mental health issues and need support, the UAE National...
-
The Audacity of Men
The one where we're still waiting for justice and kar(i)ma to be served, revenge gaslighting is the name of the game, and Mama Murderer's sons continue to amaze us with their terribleness.
-
How Not to Raise Your Sons
The one where random flashbacks reveal shocking truths, Mama Abla's enabling allows for her sons to continue behaving in toxicity and ignorance, and our Ramadan dramas continue to depict "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" in the worst possible way.
-
Over 9000?!
The one where the ~Drama~ is so amped up that it inadvertently becomes a Uniting (pan)Arab force, time is arbitrary, and we have a light brush with organ trafficking. Guest host: resident cat who wanted to pitch in his two cents.
-
Guess Who's Back?
Welcome to Season 2, the one where your humble hosts learn a valuable lesson: sometimes, you have to leave a toxic, non-beneficial situation to keep your sanity (and 9eyam) intact. Join us as we give up on ADtv (it was the best of times, it was the worst of times), and jump on the MBC bandwagon.

All's Well That Ends Well
The last, but certainly not least, episode of Suhoor Bites. Join JAF as we dissect episodes 27-30 of Matar Saif, its anticlimactic reveal, senseless character developments (or lack thereof), and an oh-so-unfulfilling finale. Do they give refunds on time?
-
Not Quite
The one where we’re in the homestretch, which obviously means the drama is suddenly over 9000. Join JAF as we discuss episodes 21-26 of Matar Saif and the coma, divorce, and torture (oh my!) that they've managed to pack in. Plot line? What plot line?
-
Jailhouse Rock
The one where the boys are back in [jail], everyone is suspicious, no one knows how to apologise, and the lack of law and order is made even more glaringly obvious. Join JAF as we go through episodes 17-20 of Matar Saif (Summer Rain), reluctantly reach the final stage of grief (acceptance), and...
-
Halfway There
The one where Baba Ghanem ends up in Jail (again), Abdulla turns to a life of crime, and whatever little logic or sense was left in the heads of these characters is completely thrown out the window. Join JAF as we go through episodes 11-16 of Matar Saif and contemplate just how much shorter this...
-
Where do we go, from here?
The one where 5 episodes pass and the plot barely moved. Join JAF as we discuss episodes 5-10 of Matar Saif: the gratuitous anger and violence, the characters’ idiotic behavior, and predict who the murderer is. The ultimate question: Why?!
-
Okay, and?
Examining episodes 3-5 of Matar Saif (aka Summer Rain): someone dies (surprise), people continue to be horrible to their family, and still (somehow) nothing happens. Join JAF as we try and figure out which character's names are important to remember, while pondering at everyone's general…

The Set-Up
The one where your hosts, JAF, dive into the world of AD TV's Matar Saif (aka Summer Rain), and try to figure out the set-up for the plot of this Khaleeji drama. Murder? Whoever said anything about murder?
