4 people accused of selling fentanyl in Mississippi have been indicted on federal charges. Officials in Mississippi provided another update after a tornadoes broke out in the southern part of the state last week, confirming Tuesday that more than 400 homes and businesses were damaged. Governor Tate Reeves is cancel Mississippi's planned special session, now that a federal appeals court has vacated an order requiring the state to redraw its Supreme Court map. He expects lawmakers to redraw Mississippi's congressional lines in 2027.

Under current law, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama have jurisdiction over three nautical miles offshore, while Texas and Florida maintain nine nautical miles. Congressman Mike Ezell and other representatives have introduced the Offshore Parity Act, which would establish equal offshore boundaries.

The former Corinth school teacher accused of using artificial intelligence to create explicit images of his students will now be sentenced a week later.
