ABSOLUTE HAZE EXPERIENCE IT UNTIL THE FLAME BURNS BRIGHTER It's been a very, very long time. A lot has happened since my last song release. Jobs, people, college, etc.... I built a new computer and moved all of my music projects there. Took a bit to get used to the new place, but it all worked out in the end. There's a lot I want to talk about, but I'm terrible at writing these sorts of things. Long story short, I haven't been able to work on music for some time due to many, many life circumstances. I'm going to college soon for music production, so maybe that'll help. I always wanted to make music. Recently, I got into parapara. Listening to eurobeat and hyper techno made me realize how much I love this sorta stuff again. The excitement, the pulse, the sound of it all... I wanted to go back to my roots. To the people that inspired me to love this music. Realizing that good-cool's SENSE was inspired by Juliana's Tokyo music and the Japanese 90's rave scene as a whole, I wanted to make something with that sound again... the HARD RAVE name came back to me... And so, I decided to make a sort of "Red Light 2". I wanted those classic stabs back, the loud electronic drum rack, the crazy vocal samples... It took me months of motivation, experimenting and acceptance to make something again. But I finally stuck to my guns and went for it. Another classic 90's rave track from yours truly! I wanted to give it a speedier BPM (145BPM), compared to the more deliberate house rhythm of the original Red Light... (Hoping this gets a techpara routine someday! The BMS cut would work perfectly for it... I started with a Public Enemy sample, and decided to make a more straightforward rave song, more akin to the ideas I worked on early in my music making... I started getting second thoughts about it... But I decided to push forward, not caring about it. "I know someone out there will like it". The thought kept pushing me. I needed to believe in myself. The "EGO" will push me...! The in-your-face style of the song spits in your face directly with hard stabs and a straight-up amen break! The power to make music is yours... RU-PA NO TE PUEDO DAR MÁS (QUE MI AMOR) CHANSON D'AMOUR It's been a while since I worked on something like this, let alone music in general... Between college, the lockdown, personal/work stress, and an infuriating ear infection, I've been on and off with sound period. Not being able to enjoy music properly has been one of the most life-draining things I've ever lived through. Couple that with no motivation/depression, and you got an unhealthy cocktail of emotions. It wasn't until very recently that, in both pure anger and bliss, I yelled "what the hell" towards the heavens above and decided to make something out of this. Flashes of life, both past and present, assaulted me when thinking about what to put into this song. The songs I sampled here, the pace, bass, cuts and stops... It's all a culmination of my thoughts and feelings as of recent. I originally started this song back in February, in an attempt to one-up myself after the success of FREEHARDSAMPLE!!!... That's when I realized that I couldn't work anything like that. Not this. Not like this. So, I made this. Because this is me. Things have gotten better--or rather, I've gotten better. I've found a new purpose in my music; life, in general. I don't need to be the best. I don't need to satisfy anyone. Because what is music, but a reflection of the artist? This, regardless of what you say or want, is FASTHARDSAMPLE!!! (or FHS2!!!, if you will), because this is what I want. But it isn't the end. I'm fine, don't worry. I genuinely appreciate all the support y'all have given me. Thank you all. I'll have more music done. I won't stop, no matter what. In regards to the BMS... well, after isocosa made a surprise "sofla" chart for the original FHS!!!, I went to her and told her. "add as many sofla as possible". She delivered. DANCE TILL U BUILD UP CAUSE LEMME TELL YA I GOTCHU NOW A song with an incredibly peculiar sound, neither house or techno, "Build-UP" by FORWARD is one of the most bumpin' licenses in "Beatmania 4th MIX". My friend suggested a remix of the short cut, and I decided to give it a shot. I kept this half-done for a while and decided to finish it up for fun. I gave it a harder, more robotic beat, mixing in its famous voice clips in an intense atmosphere. Once you hear it, you'll say "I GOT YOU NOW!" CUTTING UP MEMORIES TOGETHER INTO A COLLAGE OF JUMBLED LOVE After nearly half a year, I managed to put my stuff together and decide to put another experimental track out there. I had the concept of a mash-up style song, based entirely on sampling other songs. I thought about a DJ quickly switching between turntables, swapping and cutting tracks rapidly, while combining their own techno and breakbeat flavor into the rhythm (BEMANI and SEGA fans will be pleased, hopefully! ^^;;).
