Talk of the Town

Ok friends, we've aksed and answered alot of questions this summer. But how do these questions affect you and your life? Let's aska dn answer more questions together. Today, we'll ask if Jesus came to save the world, why is it such a mess? Why is there so much fighting in the Bible? I am scared of bad things happening, can God protect me? Why can't we all just live in peace? 

Revelation is one of the books in the Bible that people have lots of questions about! We will ask and answer some of them today. We'll talk about questions like in Revelation, why does God's power seem so scary? Will the world come to an end? What is Heaven like? What are the "New Heaven and New Earth"? 

In this episode of Talk of the Town, Mr. Nathan and Mrs. Ashley are going to ask and answer questions about angels. Have you ever wondered if angels protect us? What do Angels look like? When I die, do I become and angel? These are great questions. Let's find out the answers together!

Join Mr. Nathan, Mrs. Ashley, and special guest Miss Gloria for a an episode all about prayer! We'll cover questions like: "Is there a right or wrong to pray?" "If God knows what I need, why should I pray?" and "When should I pray?".

Have you ever had questions about the Holy Spirit? You are not alone! Dig deeper with Mr. Nathan and Mrs. Ashley as we ask and answer questions about the Holy Spirit. Is the Holy Spirit real? Who is the Holy Spirit? Does the Holy Spirit live in me?

Did Jesus make mistakes? and Why did people hate Jesus?/ Why didn't some people believe in Jesus? Learn along with us! 

In today's episode, we'll be asking and answering big questions about God! Who made God? Where is God? Can God do anything? Does God know what I'm thinking? Let's learn more together!

We often only talk about the first six days of creation. On the seventh day, God showed us something really important: the need for rest. God set a pattern of working and resting. Day 6 - On the sixth day of creation, God created people. Adam and Eve were the first people God created, and He made them in His own image. That makes us pretty special!  People!

Day five of creation was a super busy day. God created all the birds in the sky and all of the fish in the sea. We could never truly count how many birds and fish there are, but God knows exactly how many birds there are in the sky and how many fish are in the sea. 

During the first three days, God created and formed the light, water, and land. In this episode, we will learn about when God gave the light a job to do! We also have a job to do; we get to shine the light of Jesus on others!

Today, we're learning about when God created the land. The mountains, valleys, rocks, and hills are all part of God's beautiful creation and the foundation of the world. Jesus is the foundation of our faith! Let's dig in!

"Let There Be Light" Day 1 of Creation

Science can't tell us why things were created, but Genesis 1 can. In today's episode, we will read all of Genesis 1. We won't do a science experiment, but we will still have loads of fun! 

God created the world! We know this from Genesis 1, but why should we learn more about it? Join Mr. Nathan and Mrs. Ashley as we begin our brand new season of Talk of the Town. 

Mary and Joseph loved their baby boy. Baby Jesus brought joy and light into their lives! The love that He brought wasn't just for them though. Join Mrs. Ashley and Mr. Nathan for the final chapter of the 2022 Family Christmas Guide to learn about God's love for the world!

When baby Jesus was born, the shepherds hurried to see Him and share the message of His peace with the world! Sometimes Jesus helps to make things better. Sometimes though, Jesus will bring peace to our hearts even when things still feel wrong. Let's celebrate and learn more! 

Joy isn't the same as being happy. Mary and Joseph had joy because they trusted in God's plan for their lives and the life of their baby, Jesus. Joy comes from choosing to trust in the promises God has made.

The first theme of Advent is hope. What does it look like to hope? As we read about Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus, we'll learn how they had hope and brought hope to the world.

Jonathan and David are some of the most well-known, best friends in the whole Bible! They were so close, they were like brothers. Take a look with us at this amazing friendship.

Jesus is our model for friendship in the way he loved others and in the way he served his friends. Let's look at his closest friends to discover how we can be like Jesus!

God first loved us. So, how do we show His love to others and celebrate all of our differences? In this podcast, we will discuss how to love God first, and people second.

Joseph and his brothers constantly battled from a place of jealousy. At the end of their battle, however, we see a beautiful picture of reconciliation and forgiveness, arguably the most important part of any battle.

Did you know that even Jesus had to fight big battles? He faced multiple temptations from Satan, but Jesus won His big battle in a big way! He used God's Word to fight His way to victory.

People fight their own battles all the time, but Jacob had to fight a special one: he wrestled with God. After his unique battle, Jacob's name was changed to Israel, which meant, "wrestles with God."

Many Christians battle continuing their faith through doubts. Guess what, so did Peter! We are going to talk all about how Peter fought his battle and still came out with a super strong faith.

Many people know that Esther was a Queen, but did you know that she had a battle to fight too? She had to overcome her own struggle of saving her people!

You may think that Daniel had to fight the lions but his battle was a little different. He had to go against what the king said to do and be prepared to face the consequences! 

Sometimes the hardest battles we have to face are with what people think is right or normal. In this story, we will see how hard some battles are, but with God, all things are possible! 

Not all battles have swords and slingshots. As we go through the story of Noah, we will learn all about his battles as he builds an ark and sails through 40 days and nights of rain.
