This is a special episode celebrating the music of the late Justin Townes Earle. Nick and Joe sat down to discuss the great career of the musician who just passed earlier this month. Justin was a great songwriter in the midst of a stellar career.  We're sad that we won't see more art coming from Justin, but lucky we have what we have. RIP Justin, you'll be missed.

Gillian Welch has blessed us with a LONG lost collection of songs called 'Boots No. 2: The Long Lost Songs, Vol. 1' - this is the first of 3 volumes coming this year which were recorded back in 2002. These were written and recorded in one weekend between her and David Rawlings, and in spite of the speed, they're still a strong example of excellent songwriting. Today's episode chronicles the story and a few favorites from Vol. 1!

If you hear the name 'Cecilia' there's a good chance you might think of the Simon & Garfunkel song by the same name... But who is she and why was Paul Simon obsessed with her?? This story starts with the Barr Brothers song 'Saint Cecilia' to find out who she was!
