Jon Daly continues to build his St Patrick's Athletic squad with the signing of Arran Pettifer from Bolton Wanderers. The 20-year-old midfielder, who has been training us for the last few weeks, joins us on a permanent deal. Arran, who is from Stockport, joined the Bolton Wanderers Academy when he was 8, and progressed through the ranks there to sign his first professional contract in the summer of 2022, he made two senior appearances for The Trotters. St Patrick's Athletic's Adam Courtney spoke to Arran shortly after today's 2024 season photoshoot at Richmond Park, he told us who it feels to be joining the club.

Defender Luke Turner (21) joined The Saints on a multi-year contract from Cliftonville, for an undisclosed fee. Turner, who is a Republic of Ireland underage international, won the 21/22 Irish League Cup with Cliftonville, and was named NI Football League, NI Football Writers and Ulster Young Player of the Year that season as well as Cliftonville Young Player of the Year. St Patrick's Athletic made their 7th new signing with the addition of defender Alfie Taylor on loan from Hull City. Taylor has been with The Tigers since the age of 9 and signed his first professional contract at the MKM Stadium in May 2021. The Hull-born centre-back featured regularly for the club's U18s and U21s and has been on the bench for the First Team on a number of occasions. The 19-year-old joined up with his new St Patrick's Athletic team-mates on Monday and could make his first appearance for the club in the opening pre-season friendly against Athlone Town this weekend.

Three time FAI Cup winner and 2023 PFAI Player of the Year Chris Forrester has signed a new long term contract at St Patrick's Athletic, he spoke to Jamie Moore shortly after putting men to paper Since his debut in 2012, Forrester has made 332 appearances for The Saints, scoring 78 goals. He became the first player in the club's history to play in four FAI Cup finals, and to win the competition three times, as he helped his club beat Bohemians 3-1 at Aviva Stadium last month. Nobody is the current squad has played more times for St Pat's or won more trophies at Richmond Park than Chris. The 31-year-old capped off a great 2023 when he was named PFAI Premier Division Player of the Year, voted by his peers as the best player in the League of Ireland last season.

Sam Curtis is our youngest ever senior player, having made his debut last year aged 15 years and 255 days against Waterford. He made his first start aged 16 against Drogheda United earlier this season and made 20 first team appearances in 2022, starting 18 of those games in the league and featuring off the bench in the Europa Conference League qualifiers against NS Mura and CSKA Sofia. He doesn't turn 17 until next month. Sam was twice named as our Manguard Plus Player of the Month and has been capped by the Republic of Ireland at U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19 level, captaining his country on a number of occasions. St Patrick's Athletic are delighted to confirm that Jamie Lennon has signed a new mutli-year contract at Richmond Park. The 24-year-old will be going into his 6th full season as a senior player at the club, having made his league debut on the opening night of the 2018 campaign. Lennon has made 136 appearances in the famous red and white, 112 of them in the league, and was part of our FAI Cup success in 2021. Following Ian Bermingham's retirement, former Ireland U21 international Lennon becomes the longest serving player at the club in a continuous spell. In the current squad, only Chris Forrester (288 appearances during his two spells) has played more games for St Pat's. Jamie joined our U19s in January 2016 and spent two seasons in The Saints Academy before progressing to the senior squad. He made his first team debut in August 2017 in a Leinster Senior Cup game against Firhouse Clover, scoring his first and only senior goal for the club that day, a cracker from outside the box. NEWS: Ian Bermingham Appointed Football Partnership Manager
St Patrick's Athletic are delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Bermingham as Football Partnership Manager. As part of this newly created, full-time role, Ian will be responsible for managing the football partnership between St Patrick's Athletic FC and Cherry Orchard FC on a daily basis. The 33-year-old will oversee on field coaching with boys and girls teams as well as developing and implementing football strategies across the partnership, as well player pathway between the clubs and potential new partnership opportunities. Bermingham is St Pat's all time record appearance maker, since signing at the start of the 2010 season, he has played 452 times for St Pat's, and won a league title (2013), two FAI Cups (2014 & 2021), two League Cups (2015 & 2016), a President's Cup (2014) and played in many memorable European games for the club. The Ballyfermot native confirmed last month that he is to finish playing professional football at the end of this season and will begin this new role with immediate effect. As part of this new partnership and new appointment, we are looking forward to progressing with our plans and our expression of interest to field a team in the EA SPORTS Women's National U17 League from the 2023 season onwards. St Patrick's Athletic's record appearance maker Ian Bermingham will leave the club at the end of the season, bringing to an end his 13 years in Inchicore. Since signing at the start of the 2010 season, Bermo has played 452 times for St Pat's, and won a league title (2013), two FAI Cups (2014 & 2021), two League Cups (2015 & 2016), a President's Cup (2014) and played in many memorable European games for the club. He was named in the PFAI Premier Division Team of the Season three years in a row (2012, 2013, 2014) and was named St Patrick's Athletic Player of the Year in 2012 and 2016. Ian scored some famous goals in the famous red and white (15 in total) and has made numerous key contributions to the club and the local area off the pitch. 20 Wheatfield Prison Inmates Complete FAI Adult Amateur Coaching Licence With St Patrick's Athletic
20 Wheatfield Prison inmates recently completed the FAI Adult Amateur Licence course under the guidance of St Patrick's Athletic, the FAI Coach Education department & the Irish Prison Service. The course was led by St Patrick’s Athletic’ Academy Director Ger O’Brien and St Pat's Community Officer Niall Cully and will enable all licence holders to coach in the Adult Amateur game and integrate into Irish football on their release. St Pat's Head of Media Jamie Moore headed along to the recent graduation ceremony at Wheatfield Prison to take a behind the scenes look and chat to some of the coaches and prisoners involved in the course. BURNS COMPLETES MK DONS TRANSFER: "My time at St Pat's was special!"
Darragh Burns has joined English League One side MK Dons for an undisclosed fee. Burns, now 19, joined our St Pat's Academy in 2018 as a 15-year-old. He won the U17 League of Ireland in 2019 and the U19 League of Ireland in 2020, scoring the winner in the league final against Bohemians. Burns made his first senior appearance in July 2019 aged 16, coming off the bench in a friendly against UEFA Europa League champions Chelsea at a sold out Richmond Park, in what was Frank Lampard's second game in charge of Chelsea. Having signed his first professional contract at the start of the 2020 season, Darragh made his league debut off the bench against Derry City in August 2020. The Stamullen native established himself in the team last season as The Saints finished 2nd in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division, helping the club secure our highest league finish since winning the title in 2013. He started the famous FAI Cup final win against Bohemians in front of almost 40,000 supporters at The Aviva last November, adding the cup to his trophy haul at St Pat's and helping the club quality for the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers. 'Daz' was named Patron Saints Young Player of the Year last season. He made 61 senior appearances for the club, scoring 11 times, and sat down with Jamie Moore to remember his time as a Super Saint and say goodbye.

TRANSFER: "I'm over the moon!" - Josh Keeley Joins Tottenham Hotspur
Josh Keeley has joined Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee. The 19-year-old moved to London earlier this week and began training with his new club. Josh joined the St Patrick's Athletic Academy from Belvedere in 2018 and won a league and cup double with our U15s in his first season. The goalkeeper, who is in Ireland Underage international at U16, U17 and U19 quickly progressed to our U17s where he won the league title in 2019 before becoming a league Champion again in 2020 as he played a key role in our U19s league final win against Bohemians, that win saw him make two appearances in last season's UEFA Youth League against Red Star Belgrade. Josh, from Dunboyne, signed his first professional contract with St Pat's in January 2021 and made his first team debut off the bench in a 6-0 FAI Cup win at home to Bray Wanderers last July. The former Shelbourne, St Kevin's Boys and Belvedere goalkeeper made his first league start, aged 18, in a 2-2 draw against Finn Harps at Richmond Park in the last league match of last season. Keeley was also part of our FAI Cup winning squad last season, a dramatic penalty shootout win over Bohemians at Aviva Stadium in front of almost 40,000 supporters.
