Teaching the Faith at Home

In this episode of Teaching the Faith at Home, Matt and Andrew dive into Chapter 3 of the Habits study to explore discipline and how we can shift from authoritarian control to formative discipleship. Many of us approach discipline out of instinct—reacting based on instincts that are based on serving selfish wants and needs. We discuss the vital importance of the developing loving authority, using a "Habit of the Pause," the necessity of building a foundation of prayer and connection, and why reconciliation (not just compliance) is the ultimate goal of every correction. If you find yourself stuck in a cycle of frustration and shouting, this episode offers a practical, Gospel-centered blueprint to move from conflict to restoration.

Every day, we need to eat. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner time all become opportunities to develop habits and liturgies that guide our children and families towards Christ. In this episode we look at mealtimes and how they provide a gravitational moment for our family to gather and grow in faith and fellowship.

Every morning we wake from sleep. Every day we have to awaken to the challenges, pressures, struggles, and “monsters” we face. How does waking influence us?
