Daniel is a software engineer and the founder of Rock the JVM, the online training resource on Scala, functional programming and everything in the Scala ecosystem. He's taught more than 42000 engineers and personally trained high-performing teams at Adobe, Apple, Orange and other companies in the US and Europe. He also teaches kids to code, and has reached 22000 kids in 150 countries. Before diving into computer science, Daniel won medals in international physics competitions. Merlin got into Computer Science because computers told him that he should study Computer Science. During his Bachelor and Master studies, he worked for many different companies in different fields using various programming languages. His drive towards optimization brought him to functional programming and eventually got him into working on a PhD thesis in Theoretical Computer Science. She is a speaker at technical conferences and meetups, one of the Women Who Code Kyiv leads.  She is passionate about Big Data, Scala, and Kubernetes and she always loves to learn something new. Omar studied for a Social Sciences degree before he discovered his passion about computers. He had a part-time job in a lab during his studies, where he learned a lot. He then decided to continue in that direction. Jakub discovered his passion for programming since he was 10 y.o. He encountered different challenges and had to make decisions that changed his educational path, this helped him to grow professionally. Jakub is a senior software engineer at Disney Streaming, an open source contributor, he gives talks in different Scala meetups and conferences and he is a content creator.
