Happy New Year! TAT returns after an extended hiatus to talk about some favorite (and not so favorite) movies we watched in 2023, and to discuss holiday treats made by our very own Christie Vela (trifle, y'all!). Our resolution for 2024 is to record way more often, so we'll be back soon.

So, we break down some of the movies that had the biggest influence on us when making our movie...and we remind you over and over that The Finale will be available to rent or buy on July 28!

The Pope's Exorcist (2023). Bless us Father, for we have sinned. It has been three months since our last confession. But we have finally returned to try to figure out what the hell The Pope's Exorcist is.

Let the Wrong One In (2021). Homemade Breakfast Tacos. We talk about the beauty of low-budget horror comedies done right, Irish film, and why governments should support vampire movies.

The Menu (2022). Choriqueso. We're back again to talk about The Menu, what happens when you start hating the thing you love, and the pure deliciousness of choriqueso.

Skinamarink (2022). Chorizo. Hey look, it's that door at a weird angle again. And Legos! Oh my gosh, the Legos!

Smile (2022). European coffee. We have returned! And so has the CHUD, who clearly has a great agent. We're back to talk Smile, solipsism, and getting bludgeoned to death by a weak metaphor.

Pearl (2022). Taco Palenque. We're back to eat arguably the best taco in all of Texas, delve into the process of making tamales, and to talk about Ti West's prequel to X. And the holiday theme from Jim/John Make Noise is back!

Barbarian (2022). Taquero. Does logic matter in horror? Does a Habsburg chin give you superpowers? Can you eat flan for dinner? We answer these important questions and more.

Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park (1978). Snap Kitchen. We do our best to get through KISS' made-for-TV, Hanna-Barbera, Scooby Doo style "horror" movie. Mind Control! Robot KISS! All that.

Lamb (2021). We talk about folk tales, Iceland, nature, bread bowls, and the beautiful madness of the new movie, Lamb.
