AI and copywriting with Fresh Perspective's Rachel Sparacio-Foster
You'll have heard all about ChatGPT and OpenAI by now. Some will have you think it's all over. But this is just the beginning. I had a fantastic chat with my good friend Rachel to see what it's like working with the algorithm as one of Canada's finest copywriters. We asked AI to give you a summary of what's upcoming. Here's what she said: "This is the place to begin your grand tour of AI for copywriting and content creation. The speakers discuss the benefits and limitations of AI-generated content, as well as the importance of prompt engineering and ethics in AI development. They also touch on the potential for AI to simulate human voices for nefarious purposes. The conversation touches on the different ways AI can be used for generating content, such as subject line formulas and audience research. The speakers also discuss the importance of testing and research, as well as the potential for AI to improve the authenticity and accuracy of copy. However, the conversation also highlights concerns about the ethics of AI development, specifically the potential for AI to be used for malicious purposes such as phone scams. The speakers stress the importance of considering these ethical concerns and taking steps to regulate AI development. Overall, the conversation provides insights into the potential benefits and challenges of using AI for copywriting and content creation, as well as the need for responsible AI development." Couldn't have put it better myself. Do enjoy!

Ralph Fiennes' The Menu - tastiest film of the year (so far)
I needed an experience not dissimilar to the waltzers to propel me uncomfortably out my post-holiday lethargy. This movie was a multi-course masterclass in jerking awake from any stupor - possibly even a coma! Watch it. Devour it. Savour it. But for goodness sake, listen to this first...

Sedentary walkaround of the moderately average P&O Azura
I was going to get on my feet and give you the grand tour of this 12 year-old maritime hulk. And I wish I had - halfway through recording this audio aberration, a large boy collapsed into my neighboring recliner and started noshing hard and loud on his triple cheeseburger and quadruple fries.
