Afro Kung Fu BEAT! w/ Cosmo Reindorf
For this episode, I was joined by Cosmo Anoi Herbert Reindorf, writer, director, and self-titled zero budget filmmaker. He is one of my most charismatic, comedic friends and I had the pleasure of discussing his most recent film Afro Kung Fu Beat! We recorded this quite impromptu in our London studio, and it’s got a slightly different feel to some other Algo episodes. A little more freewheeling, fun, and excitable. We discuss, his inspirations, blaxsploitation cinema, Tarantino, the influence Sydney has had on his work, before moving over to Star Wars and his future projects. Enjoy. Frat Pack Comedies w/ Thomas Underhill
Grab a cold one from the refrigerator as Liliana and guest-host, writer/director Thomas Underhill discuss the American Frat Pack comedies of the early 2000s. Think Will Ferrell as a 70s News Anchor, or Carell as the world's most beloved 40-year-old virgin. We think very studiously about the man-child archetype of the era, Todd Phillips' insidious politics, and Terrence Malik's favourite film, Zoolander. Please find Thomas' amazing films here https://vimeo.com/thomasunderhill

BONUS episode, ROHMER
In this Bonus episode, Liliana discusses her favourite films from French New Wave director Eric Rohmer, and some of the key themes embedded into his work. Touching on Jung's idea of synchronicity, Parisian geography playing a role with chance, age gap relationships, and a little on the pinterestification of his film stills. Enjoy Xx We will still be doing our regular schedule, and going live tomorrow at 8PM.

Wyoming Cowboy
The following story is all based on true events. Once upon a time in the west aka Brighton’s infamous green door store, on a rainy January night, the Algo came across a real-life modern-day Wyoming Cowboy. He wore a bolo tie and double denim. After several hours of conversation, he slipped a dollar bill with his number on it, before disappearing into the night. This sequence of events got us thinking about the enduring mythology of the Wild West. What follows is a conversation that delves deeper into this iconography, in a few of our favourite films.
