Curt Beavers - How to Make A Life, Not Just A Living
What happens when a young couple’s simple prayer, “Can we just make $1,000 a month from home so Mom doesn’t have to put the kids in daycare?”, turns into a 39‑year global business in 26 countries? In this episode of The Authentic Networker Podcast, with over 1.4 million life-time downloads, Richard Bliss Brooke, bestselling author and coach, sits down with Curt Beavers, one of Juice Plus’ top ten distributors worldwide and author of Make A Life, Not Just a Living. Together, they unpack Curt’s journey from “silver spoon” to bankruptcy, from delivering aloe vera out of a warehouse as a teenager to leading a team of 40,000 distributors and hundreds of millions in sales, built on solid principles and authentic relationships. You’ll hear the full story of the Sunday “kairos moment” when Curt’s wife Lori realized she refused to hand their future kids to daycare, and how that decision sparked 300 conversations in one month, 38 customers, and five business partners that changed everything. In this powerful conversation, Richard and Curt dive into: How Curt and Lori went from two small paychecks to over $100,000 in their first year by front‑loading honest, fun conversations, not pressure or hype Why belief, numbers, and a simple weekly calendar review can pull anyone out of “I’m stuck” and into consistent, productive action What Curt learned navigating massive transitions, from water filters to nutrition, from fax machines and pagers to apps and gut‑health innovation, and why he believes now is still a launching pad moment for new Juice Plus+ partners How to build a business that survives economic cycles, private equity ownership changes, and technology shifts without sacrificing your integrity or your team The deeper mission behind Make A Life, Not Just a Living and I Call Shotgun, using residual income to create time freedom, serve on boards, mentor the next generation, and actually be present for your family and community Whether you’re just looking for an extra $1,000 a month, feeling stuck and wondering if this business can really work for you, or leading a large team through change, this episode will challenge how you think about freedom and what it truly means to “Make A Life” through network marketing. Mary Young - The Real Story Behind Young Living’s Founding
Thanksgiving Day, 1993. A rundown building in Riverton, Utah. A company buried in debt, and a decision that would define everything that followed. In this episode of The Authentic Networker (with over 1.4 million downloads), Richard Bliss Brooke sits down with Mary Young to share the real, unfiltered story behind the founding of Young Living. Mary could have walked away. Most people would have. Instead, she chose a harder path: No investor money. No debt. No shortcuts. What followed wasn’t instant success; it was doubt, sacrifice, and leadership forged in the quiet moments when no one was watching. In this conversation, Mary shares: Why she never wanted the CEO role, and why she accepted it anyway The early leadership lessons learned while literally building the company by hand How Young Living was founded on Quality, Integrity, and Collaboration What it truly costs to build a network marketing company the right way Why long-term vision always beats short-term pressure Mary started in network marketing in 1985, built a multimillion-dollar organization in just two years… Then walked away to build something harder and more meaningful. If you’re building a business. If you’re questioning whether integrity still wins. If you’re committed to the long game in network marketing— This is a conversation worth your time. The Mindset That Separates the Pros from the Posers
Lasting success in network marketing doesn’t come from outpacing others, it comes from building with them. In this episode of the Authentic Networker Podcast (over 1.4 million downloads), Richard Bliss Brooke shares why the future of the profession belongs to collaborators, not competitors. He reveals how relationships forged across company lines have fueled decades of growth, and why ego and secrecy are the silent killers of momentum. You’ll discover the mindset shifts that turn rivals into allies, events into lifelong connections, and the “zero-sum” hustle into a career of abundance, trust, and joy. Here’s what Thora from LifeWave, one of Richard's coaching clients, just shared with the group: “I’m now seeing the value in a rest period... I have enrolled 9 Brand Partners since October 1st and qualified for the Bahamas cruise. I highly recommend resting. Next week it’s time for me to get back to work.” Want to build this kind of momentum yourself? Join United We Stand – On Fire Virtual Boot Camp (Oct 17–18) and learn the mindsets that move mountains. Integrity & Momentum in Network Marketing
Lasting momentum in network marketing doesn’t come from hype or jumping companies; it comes from integrity. In this episode of the Authentic Networker Podcast (over 1.4 million downloads), Richard Bliss Brooke shares why cutting corners, like recruiting from other teams or chasing the “next big thing,” may deliver short-term wins but destroys long-term trust. And without trust... belief and momentum collapse. Discover how integrity creates sustainable growth, for you, your team, and the entire profession. 🎟️ Want to build momentum with a proven system? The Charlatans of Network Marketing
Too many people in our profession play the charlatan’s game… they wait until someone on your team is discouraged, maybe even ready to quit, and then swoop in to recruit them into their latest “perfect” deal. That’s not leadership. That’s not vision. That’s not how real wealth and legacy are built. The truth is this: 95 out of 100 distributors are stuck or going backwards, not because network marketing doesn’t work, but because they’re chasing hype and gimmicks instead of building momentum through simple, daily action. If your team was paid $500 a day to ask four people to “take a look”… they’d do it. And so would you. Which tells us it’s not about skill, it’s about habit, belief, and leadership. In this episode, I’ll share how to spot the charlatans, ignore the hype, and lead in a way that lasts. And if you’re ready to take action, not just listen, then United We Stand – On Fire Virtual Boot Camp could be the turning point for you. This isn’t just another virtual summit. It’s an all-in moment. The Event That Changed Everything - My All-In Moment
Every great career in network marketing starts with a moment of belief... a spark that shifts everything. For me, it was a small hotel event in Bakersfield, California, back in 1977. I walked in doubtful, afraid, and unsure if this business would ever work for me. I walked out with a vision that has fueled me for nearly five decades. That’s the power of events. They light a fire in your belief system and show you what’s truly possible. In this week’s episode of the Authentic Networker (Over 1.4mil downloads), I share the story of my very first event, the lessons it taught me, and why United We Stand - On Fire Virtual Boot Camp could be the same turning point for you. This isn’t just another conference. It’s an all-in moment, a chance to reset your vision, build unstoppable momentum, and step into being the leader you’re meant to be. 🎟️ Early bird tickets are just $97, and when you grab yours, you’ll also get: 30 days of free LIVE coaching with me A 30-day recruitment challenge designed to ignite your business growth Don’t wait. Gary Montalvo and Dawn Speaks Mindset Magic
Gary Montalvo and Dawn Speaks are a dynamic business duo at a company called LimeLife by Alcone. Gary is the Chief Growth Officer and Dawn is the Regional Director. They first came on my radar when I was at a Direct Selling University presentation. The MC was talking about how their messaging is so powerful that it’s spreading like wildfire across the industry. So of course, I had to bring them on my show so you could hear their stories for yourself! One of the big things they focus on is mindset. So many people have a scarcity mindset about direct sales, with thoughts like, “I’m not one of ‘those’ people” or “I can’t handle rejection.” Gary and Dawn break down those barriers, believing if you give someone the right mindset, they’ll shoot like a rocket. During this talk, you’ll also gain insight on how to OWN that you’re a network marketer, to lead with what you’re afraid of, and above all else, get your butt to work! Gary and Dawn have embraced the opportunity side of network marketing, and after listening to this, you may just do the same.
