Many times when we do an older movie it's because it's having a big anniversary like 10 years or 20 years...We thought Hot Rod was released 20 years ago this year but after we had committed to doing an episode on it, we realized that it is only celebrating its 19th Anniversary...Whoops. It's still a hilarious film that is considered a cult classic. It's just the two of us on this one, hope you enjoy!

Horrible Bosses is already 15 years old. This is another rated R comedy that we thought was hilarious when it came out. Our fellow R-Rated comedy lover, Chris Chatham, also enjoyed this and we had a bunch of laughs breaking it down. Enjoy!

What's up there city slickahs? The great comedy led by Billy Crystal, City Slickers, is celebrating 35 years. We grew up on this movie as well as our guests, Benny Elledge and Renegade. The guys from Lonely Island made a hilarious mockumentary 10 years ago called, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. It didn't do great at the box office, but over the years people have figured out how funny it actually is. Adam Rupp was the one who introduced it to Rob, and they've watched it on the Home Free bus many times. He was great on this episode and hope you enjoy!

Miranda Priestly and the gang are back for another super entertaining film about the fashion industry. We had Sami Matarante on for the first one and she was the first one we asked to be on this episode. She is the best and we had the best time. Enjoy!

The Cable Guy has turned into a sort of cult classic and is celebrating its 30th anniversary. We asked Chris Chatham to be on this episode because he loves a dark comedy and has a super dark sense of humor. He was the perfect guest for this episode and we had a great time. Enjoy!

Tyler Trepp, Jasper Smith and Luke Bob Robinson from Straight No Chaser came on the pod and impressed us with their movie trivia knowledge. We played some games, had some laughs and they all have an open invitation to come back because we had so much fun with them. The Nice Guys is our final episode on our Ga Ga For Gosling run. He had a bunch of movies celebrating big anniversaries this year and we really enjoyed breaking them down. For this one we brought in a couple of nice guys from the east coast, Benny Elledge & Adam Renegade Wilson. Always love having them on the show and think y'all are gonna enjoy this one.

We could not be more Ga Ga For Gosling in this fun rom-com celebrating its 15th anniversary, Crazy, Stupid, Love. We got our buddy, Nate Stone, to come on this episode since he's also a sucker for rom-coms. Such a fun movie and such a fun episode. Enjoy!

We are still Going Ga Ga For Gosling and have come to a film where he was nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award 10 years ago, La La Land. It was a great time rewatching this musical and feeling all the feels with Gosling and Stone. Rob’s best friend from Kindergarten, Timmy St.Sauver, came back to give his thoughts and it was really really fun. Hope y’all enjoy!

As we keep going Ga Ga For Gosling, we’ve decided to watch and chat about his super dark film from 2011, Drive. He didn’t have to say much in this one for us to be blown away. Another guy who felt similarly to us is our good buddy and recurring guest, Neil Ghosh. He had a lot to say about this film and we enjoyed hearing his takes. Enjoy! 

Andy Weir has done it again, he's made an incredible novel that turned into an amazing movie for the second time. We both loved The Martian and are just as happy with the Ryan Gosling-led Project Hail Mary. We got our favorite musical duo of all time, The Hound + The Fox, to come on and give their wonderful insights. Big fan of them and a big fan of this episode. Enjoy!

It’s the 40th anniversary of what many have said is the best basketball film ever made, Hoosiers. We figured with March Madness coming to an end, this would be the time to chat about it. Our good friend, Luke Pierce, just so happens to be a Hoosier and this film meant a great deal to him growing up. We had a blast chatting with him and hope you enjoy this episode.

It’s the 20th anniversary of Accepted, a film that we feel like most people haven’t seen. Whenever we bring it up on the pod, nobody seems to remember it. However, when we brought it up to Nate Stone, his eyes lit up and he said “Ask Me About My Weiner!” He’s a real one. We had a good time chatting about this, hope you enjoy listening to it!

Paul Thomas Anderson won his first Oscars this year and he went all in with Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director and Best Picture. The two of us sat down and broke down what we thought of it and had a great time doing it. Hope you enjoy!

It's a Tom Hanks film from the 80's, which of course means we had to call up Abe Sword. We've had him on for The 'Burbs, Joe Versus the Volcano, Big and now The Money Pit. This home renovation nightmare of a story turns 40 years old this year and we had a great time chatting about it. Enjoy!

One of the hardest times we've ever laughed in a movie theater was during the movie Hall Pass. We watched it with a couple of our buddies, one of them was Brandon Miller, who's been on the pod a few times before and was happy to come back and chat about this hilarious movie. Hope you all enjoy!

35 years ago a cinematic masterpiece was created, King Ralph. Maybe that's a little too high praise but we sure liked this movie when we were kids. 2026 has started off pretty stressful for a bunch of people, especially in Minnesota, so we have decided to keep it lighthearted and talk about goofy comedies. One of the goofiest comedies ever made was Bio-Dome featuring Pauly Shore and Stephen Baldwin and it is celebrating its 30th anniversary. It's just the two of us on this one and only one of us really likes this movie. Listen and find out who it is!

After last week's episode on Apollo 13 we decided to double up on space mission movies that don't go as planned, and break down the 2015 Ridley Scott film, The Martian. This is one of those movies that we've seen many times over the last 10 years, it is very rewatchable and it was very enjoyable spending some time chatting about it. Enjoy!

The out-of-this-world Ron Howard classic, Apollo 13, has just turned 30 years old. We brought back to the pod a close friend and super NASA nerd, Pat Nelson, to break this film down. We’ve never seen him so excited to talk about anything. It was really fun getting his perspective on this film and you might just learn something from this episode :)

The Scorsese classic, Goodfellas, is celebrating 35 years and we thought it was about time we talked about this perfect gangster film. This last week was the first week of the NFL season and to celebrate we decided to chat about a football film that we both adored from the year 1991, Necessary Roughness. We quote it to this day and thought it was about time we broke down this movie. Hope you enjoy!

The Replacements is a movie that probably isn't amazing but it's one that we both enjoyed watching many times. We both were still playing high school football when this came out, so it had a pretty big impact on us. And pretty sure that this is the first film we've discussed since Gene Hackman's passing. This one features just the two of us. Enjoy!

The film that introduced Hugh Jackman as Wolverine just turned 25 this year. One of our favorite comic-book aficionados, actor J.Michael Trautmann, helped us out and broke down this film with us. We had a great time with him and he shared some entertaining insights. Enjoy!

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s Benny Elledge coming back for a second consecutive week to talk about one of his favorite franchises of all time, Superman. We all went to the theater opening weekend to see what James Gunn came up with and recorded an episode on it immediately. Hope you enjoy!

We've released well over 300 episodes over the last 6+ years and this is the very first time that we've tried to do an episode on a film that we've already recorded an episode on. Thankfully we had Nate Stone on back in July of 2020 and minutes before we were about to record the other day, Nate informed us that we had already recorded an episode on Back to the Future for it's 35th anniversary 5 years ago. So...we decided to record how we were feeling about the mishap and then re-releasing what we said about the film 5 years ago. We will be covering Back to the Future Part II next week and Back to the Future Part III the week after that, and it looks like we haven't recorded those yet! Enjoy the re-released episode...
