Beck Bubenheimer-Schiavo has only been allowed to drink beer for two years.  The Michigan-born Neuroscience grad is now working on her PhD in Molecular Pharmacology... Oh, and she has THOUSANDS of followers on social media for her posts as "A Girl Rates Beer"!! Ken Grossman is widely known as the Godfather of American Pale Ale.  He created it in Chico, CA at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and the world of Craft Beer in America began to grow.   A few years ago, Sierra Nevada opened up their east coast brewery in Mills River, NC.  T.W. Let's put down the beer for today and talk CIDER! Who doesn't like apples, especially when you can drink them? That's Vander Mill Cider Owner Paul Vander Heide's motto and Teddy likes his logic!  Since 2006, Vander Mill has gone from a small "cider and donut" idea in Spring Lake, Michigan to a full-on Cidery in Grand Rapids, with distribution throughout the Midwest!  Paul and his wife Amanda have something special going on and we enjoy the rewards of their fruits (specifically, Michigan apples)! Hear how it all started, why apples are "saving the world" and what's on the horizon with Vander Mill. Cheers!

"La Fin Du Monde", "Blanche de Chambly" and "Maudite" are three of the more popular beers produced in Quebec, Canada by the artists at Unibroue.  25 years of Belgian-inspired excellence has garnered over 250 medals in the past 25 years!   For the past 14 years, Jerry Vietz has been Master Brewer at Unibroue and he continues to not only produce the brewery staples, but push the envelope daily with explosions of flavors. Jerry is perhaps one of the most interesting and impressive humans to grace the mic of The Beerpod.  He is not just a brewer.  He is essentially the quintessential renaissance man!  An expert in beer, wine and cider, Jerry's talents are not limited to liquids!  He and his wife have chosen to live a completely self-sufficient lifestyle while raising their three sons.  Sheep, pigs, homemade soap and beer, of course, are part of Teddy's conversation with the French-Canadian genius.  It's a conversation that will have you running to the pub for a Unibroue beer, but may also have you re-evaluate your life!!
