I Am No Longer at War with Time: Procrastination by Dr Jane Burka and Dr Lenora Yuen
I Am No Longer at War with Time: Procrastination by Dr Jane Burka and Dr Lenora YuenOn a wet Sunday morning at a bus stop, watching my bus leave without me, I finally realised how much procrastination had quietly shaped my life. This book found me during the search for help that followed. This isn't a book about laziness or poor time management. It's about fear, self-worth, and the stories we tell ourselves about what we are allowed to fail at.In this episode, I trace my own history with procrastination, childhood beliefs about performance and worth, an alarm clock I couldn't bring myself to buy, and a podcast that almost never got made, alongside what this book taught me about becoming someone I can actually trust.

When the Walls We Build Imprison Us: The General Theory of Oblivion by José Eduardo Agualusa
When the Walls We Build Imprison Us: The General Theory of Oblivion by José Eduardo Agualusa This book found me in the world's oldest bookshop on a rainy morning in Lisbon. At its heart is Ludo, a woman who seals herself in her apartment as her country erupts into violence, cutting herself off from the world for thirty years. This is not only a story about one woman's isolation but also about how the walls we build to protect ourselves can become the ones that imprison us. In this first episode, I trace Ludo's story alongside my own, a quiet attempt to withdraw from the world during a trip to Lisbon, and the strangers, conversations, and moments that slowly cracked open the walls I had built. What book found you when you needed it most?If this resonated, follow along and find me on Instagram @thebooksthatfoundme
