Good Morning Buffalo! One of the absolute best films we saw at the Buffalo Dreams this year had to be Handshake. Robert Shupe  is the writer, director and actor of the film! He is bloody brilliant! Here are some of the awards the film won at the Buffalo Dreams - Outstanding Male Performance: Robert Shupe, Outstanding Drama/Crime Drama: Handshake and it also won The Best of the Festival award!

Good Morning Buffalo! For this episode of The Buffalo You Up Podcast, Buffalo Dreams edition we were able to get an interview with Richard Fysh. We were lucky to catch the premiere of his film What You Can't Promise. Also did you know...fun fact - Richard Fysh won the Filmmaker to Watch Award at The Buffalo Dreams ceremony on Sunday. 

Good Morning Buffalo! One of the coolest things about doing a podcast like Buffalo You Up is being invited to cool events like The Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival! When Greg Lamberson asked if we would be interested in doing the Buffalo Dreams this year we immediately said yes! Greg has always put on a great event each year, he has always been super accommodating to us. We are very appreciative of this opportunity. We also were able to catch his film Guns of Eden! There were so much great local Buffalo talent in that film, it felt like a capstone of The Buffalo film scene. It really was incredible!

Night 1 of The Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival! Buffalo Dreams is a festival that goes on for a week. It features locally made Buffalo films as well as films from around the world. One of the first interviews we got from the night was from Paul McGinnis! Paul is a writer and actor. You can catch him in Guns of Eden, he's also in Little Green People and Xylophone Skeleton which will all have their premiere at Buffalo Dreams 

John Renna is our guest this episode. Without a doubt, he is one of our most suggested guests we have had. John really does it all, he acts, he does special make up effects, he produces and writes. He's one of the hardest working Buffalo talents working today and he's also one of the most solid dudes you will ever meet.

For this episode of The Buffalo You Up Podcast, we are extremely honored to have Fredonia professor Roslin Smith come to the studio and share with us some of the stories from previous classes. She shared with us some of the things she has done in the past, what she currently has going on and what she plans to do for the future. For those of you that don't know Ros, she teaches film classes for the Communication department at Fredonia. She has taught dude man everything he now knows about film and even helped him with his current project; The West End Girls.

That was dude man's first time trying to explore different genres/dimensions. We think dude man has come a long way since that first episode where he provided the voice for "Danny Boy's".

Good Morning Buffalo! We have wrapped up our interviews with The Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival. We are back now with our season 1 episodes. The Buffalo You Up Podcast. The first guest back is Adam Bloch. Who oddly enough was the last guest we had on from The Buffalo Dreams. Coincidence? Adam is the audio guy of Buffalo. With that said, he is quite the busy guy. We're lucky we were able to have him sit down with us this season and talk to us about anything and everything.  Also, for the sponsors this episode we reached out to the very talented Australian voice actor Sumara Meers. This episode is part of a long series where The Buffalo You Up Podcast was asked to join The Buffalo Dreams in constructing interviews with folks who had films that were on full display at The Buffalo Dreams.  For this episode we have on JP Edwards (writer/director) of Malign, JP's daughter Eda Edwards (actor) in Malign and Adam Bloch (Audio) in Malign. Malign is a short film that was slated to be the last film that played during day 1 of the short films block. That's quite the honor. JP, Eda and Adam have been very kind to us throughout season 1 of the podcast. We're looking forward to having you all again on season 2. This is the last episode that we have from our trip to the Buffalo Dreams. We hope we'll be invited on again next year.

For this episode of The Buffalo You Up Podcast we had on the Writer/Director Kristen Skeet and the Director of Photography Ty Cheman.

A lot of them were from Buffalo and a few of them were from around the world. For example for this episode of The Buffalo You Up Podcast our guest was the writer and director of Vortex. Christophe Karabache comes in from Paris, France. He said he took a 16 hour flight.  This interview was taken place at The Buffalo Dreams Tuesday August 27th 2019. This was the fifth day of the festival, it was the third and last night for The Buffalo You Up Podcast team.

As you already know by now The Buffalo You Up Podcast team was asked to join The Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival for a week in August constructing interviews with some of Buffalo's best. For this episode we had on Richard Satterwhite who was one of the actors in Widow's Point. It was a pleasure getting him on our podcast. We are huge fans and we really hope we can get him on for season 2.

One of the groups we were thrilled to have one were the authors of Widows Point. For this episode of The Buffalo You Up Podcast, we sat down with Billy Chizmar and Richard Chizmar. Adam Bloch is a true audio legend. One thing we want you to do when you see all of the Buffalo local films that premiered at The Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival this year, we want you to count how many times you see Adam's name in there. For this interview, we focused on Widow's Point. Adam was involved with production and post production. He has done so much and he's also helped us set our basement up for the podcast, we can't ever thank Adam enough for the help. 

For one week in August The Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival holds their annual film festival. It is always fantastic. So fantastic in fact, it almost feels like a dream. Oh, now it makes sense! This year they invited The Buffalo You Up Podcast team to come in and interview all of the film makers, believers and dreamers out there. We happily accepted.   For this episode of The Buffalo You Up Podcast, we had somebody else who was interviewing the film makers, actors and crew. Her name is Nicole Simone. She was very kind to us. She was there before we arrived and she did interviews standing with her guests all day. We were luckier, we had sit down interviews. She had it a lot rougher. For that, we wanted to have her on our podcast and personally thank her for her dedication to cover The Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival. She also has a Facebook for SunmoonRising Films that you can check out.  She is also a writer, director, producer and she has a series coming out called These Streets Don't Love You Like I Do. The Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival had invited The Buffalo You Up Podcast team to come in and interview all of the film makers, believers and dreamers out there. We happily accepted.  For this episode of The Buffalo You Up Podcast, we had on the writer/director of Mirror, Mirror. The short film played before Gregory Lamberson's Widow's Point. You really couldn't ask for a better spot, in my opinion. I think everybody and their mother came out to see Widow's Point, so being asked to be the short film before that film... that's got to mean that Greg has great faith in you.  After the showing of Widow's Point The Buffalo You Up Podcast sat down with Timothy Ohearn and we discussed his beautiful, bizarre twisted Twilight Zone inspired short film and Tim gave us great details about his first short film he wrote and directed. He also talked to us about what it was like transitioning from acting for 10 plus years to directing for the first time.
