Unfortunately, Roo has corneal ulcers again. Today's episode is an open and raw sharing of the thoughts and feelings of being a bunmom in situations like this. Even a problem as seemingly "minor" (compared to other health issues) can cause such a torrent of emotions. And seemingly "small" problems can still throw a wrench into the daily routine. It's not always easy being a bunparent. This is a glimpse into the deeper worries, anxieties, and reflections that I've been having - like a journal entry. Hello everyone, this is The Bunmom Life podcast. On November 9th, 2023, we lost our sweet bunny Timo when his body surrendered to his chronic health issues. It has not been easy navigating this loss so soon after we lost our beloved Linus bear just over a year ago. In this episode, we talk about Timo's last day, what he went through, how we all thought he would make it out of the emergency fine, and what taking that devastating call from the vet was like - when he told us Timo's heart stopped. We talk about how we are still working through the rawness of this grief, and what we keepsakes we have to remember both Timo and Linus by. Today's episode is open and raw. We just lost our beloved Timo. I share a few of my journal entries I wrote this past week and open up and share a bit of what it has been like for us right after losing Timo. It's not the full picture (we may share more later on); it's just a glimpse into the grief we are going through, the hurt, the heartache, the guilt, but also the gratitude and immense love in our hearts. I wasn't sure if I'd be releasing an episode today; I actually couldn't even think about it until the last minute yesterday. But as I reflected on Timo's life and Linus' life, I knew I wanted to do this as a tribute to them. They're never truly gone.
