Over The Ditch with David White The recent retirement of stable star Bet N Win provided the perfect opportunity to catch up with David White for another edition of Over The Ditch. Affectionately known as “Kenny”, Bet N Win has been much more than just a talented racehorse for David and Stacey White. He has played a significant role in the development of White Racing, taking the young training partnership to some of the biggest stages in harness racing and providing memories that will last a lifetime. I caught up with David to reflect on Kenny’s career, the journey they have shared with him and what a horse like Bet N Win means to a young stable trying to establish itself. The timing of our chat also comes at an exciting new chapter for David and Stacey, who have recently taken the next step with White Racing, establishing their own stable at Ashburton. It’s a move they have been working towards for some time, and we discuss the decision to go out on their own, the opportunities their new Ashburton base provides and their ambitions for the future. From the horse who helped put White Racing on the map to the next generation coming through the stable, there is plenty to talk about. Over The Ditch with David White — reflecting on Kenny, building White Racing and looking towards an exciting future at Ashburton.
