Bio Mr. Carolina is a local independent Hip Hop artist based out of High Point, NC, but he has achieved an international presence with his unique style of mixing that incorporates different styles of djing such as chopping & screwing and . Having an affinity for music at a young age Mr. Carolina became fascinated with music at age 12. Early influences include RUN DMC, Jimmy Hendrix, Prince, Bob Marley, Parliament and Funkadelike and any other tapes his parents had collected over the years. As he grew older, his interest expanded into broad genres of music such as Techno, Drum and Bass, House, Grime, and Bail Funk. Mr. Carolina received his first set of turntables in 2005; allowing him to relentlessly pursued the perfection of his craft. After spending a year studying the styles and technique of such greats as Jam Master J, Grand Master Flash, Dj Jazzy Jeff, and Dj Qbert, Mr. Carolina began to develop his style focusing on scratching and blending records.
