Texas has a long way to go to recover from Hurricane Harvey. Congressman Brady tells Chris Salcedo about the efforts of first responders and leadership – all the way up to President Trump. He also talks about his desire to get real tax reform done with a president being “all in.”

The Congressman calls in while also dealing with the boat rescue of his own family to tell Chris Salcedo about the efforts of local law enforcement and the Cajun Navy to help the people of East Texas. He said Americans and Congress need to all pull together to heal and rebuild.

Dr. Carson tells Chris Salcedo about the many federal, state, and local programs available to help people who don’t have a home, or need to rebuild their home, after Hurricane Harvey’s devastation in East Texas. The physician also warns against health issues from mosquitos and mold.

He says we cannot ignore this, and neither can Japan, who may have to alter their pacifist constitution to address the threat.

Vice President Pence spoke to Chris Salcedo about the efforts to help Houston and Eastern Texas recover from Hurricane Harvey – now and in the long term. He urges those affected to continue to follow instructions and says that help is on the way. He also urged private citizens to assist through the Red Cross or their preferred faith-based organization.

Guy Benson said the American people elected Donald Trump the presidency knowing precisely what they were getting. Chris Salcedo argues that the American people would prefer forthrightness over diplomats who lie to them. He says Trump fights for the American people every day, unlike Obama, who weaponized the IRS and intelligence agencies against them, and allowed the US military to fall into disrepair.

Chris Salcedo calls out his predisposed animus toward Trump and explains what the press is trying to do when planting these ideas in viewers’ heads.

Apparently some illegal immigrants used forged Puerto Rican birth certificates to get US passports and other forms of documentation. A Texas judge says the voter ID law is unconstitutional.  

 Obama appointee Judge Nelva Gonzales Ramos issued a permanent injunction against the Texas ID voter law. She did the same in 2014. Chris Salcedo argues that the real reason liberals do this is not to spare minorities from the hardship of getting an ID, but to allow more voter fraud on their political behalf.

Chris Salcedo translates Spanish-language Leftist sites calling for continued protests against the Carrollton, Txas police department for partnering with ICE under 287(g). He wonders why they believe Americans don't get to make and enforce their own laws.

 Leftists on a site with phrases like "Brown is powerful" tried to tell Chris Salcedo that they were standing up for "his people," meaning Hispanics. When he said his people were all American people, they banned him and called him a race traitor.

Chris Salcedo wants the Senator from Kentucky to know that the American people have the same expectations as President Donald Trump -- which McConnell deemed unrealistic. He implores listeners to send this message to him so he understands what the people he was elected to serve want from their government.

Chris checks out a report on Bloomberg that says President Donald Trump is good for television ratings, then notes the Cleveland Browns also took a knee for the National Anthem. Chris says the latter is definitely not good for ratings, and he doesn't intend to watch any games with such protests.

President Donald Trump’s speech on Afghanistan last night included praise for a military that does not worry about race when defending the nation with their lives. Chris Salcedo pointed to the president’s emphasis on unity, which flies in the face of the main stream media’s messaging about him.
