From what articles are writing about how the Red Sox can keep their winning ways when they resume tomorrow, its all about getting guys back from injury. What is the true feeling about the Sox going into the second half of the season? Then, there are some big assets the Sox could sell off and get a great return on if they do decide to be sellers at the trade deadline which sound very tempting. And, John Henry finally expressed why he doesn't speak anymore, but his reasoning still doesn't make sense.
-
498
HR 2 - Things might get ugly between the Patriots and Christian Gonzalez
A recent article listed the type of trade it would take for certain Patriots' players, but are there guys that shouldn't even be given a value since they are untouchable? And, Christian and producer Joe Braverman share their dream targets for the Red Sox at the trade deadline.

And, we look through NBC Boston's top five trade targets for the Sox and debate who they should actually go for.

HR 1 - If the Red Sox haven't been full buyers in past years, how is this year any different?
As of now, the Red Sox would be poised to be buyers at the trade deadline, but things can drastically change in less than three weeks. Do we really think Craig Breslow will fully buy and what benchmark could put the Sox back into the selling category? Then, another list has Drake Maye lower in the top 10 among quarterbacks in the NFL which shows that the league maybe agrees with Cam Newton that the Patriots are fool's gold. And, AJ Brown was ranked ninth among wide receivers in the NFL, but there is some big confidence that Brown will be moving up the rankings as the season goes along.
-
486
HR 2 - Willson Contreras can easily pivot off his no-trade clause stance
We do a full dive into baseball and the lackluster All Star Game that took place after a great Home run Derby. What was the big reason for the game being so boring? Then, Chris Cotillo from MassLive joins live in studio to discuss his All star experience and if we really should believe Willson Contreras when he says he wants to stay with the Red Sox. And, a new promo from MLB owners are focusing too much on the salary cap when they should really be focused on the salary floor.
-
485
HR 3 - Jaylen Brown could've easily been on Brad Stevens' Celtics
We got back to the Jaylen Brown trade and look at the timing of the deal and how soon it was into the offseason. When a player doesn't meet his trade value, he can be returned, but why did Brad Stevens feel the need to trade him? Then, LeBron James's free agency is consuming the NBA world currently, but wherever he goes and the news he makes isn't as important as it was in the past. And, a follow up story in the New England Nightly News about the explosive diarrhea sweeping the nation.
-
484
HR 4 - Red Sox are going to have to make a lateral move as a buy
We know the Red Sox are currently in a state to buy at the trade deadline, but the rest of the American League might make a big buy difficult to happen. Then, trying to figure out the "person of conflict" from Mike McDonald in the Arcand Fire and giving out superlatives for the Red Sox in the 2026 season. MassLive's Red Sox writer Chris Cotillo joins the show in person fresh off being in Philadelphia for the All star Game to talk about how hot the talk is around the majors about the Sox, if we should believe Willson Contreras when he says he wants to stay in Boston, and how thin the line is between being buyers and sellers.

-

Drake Maye's ranking shows everyone thinking like Cam Newton
Another day, another ranking where Drake Maye is at the bottom among his peers. The more of these lists come up, the more they are thinking just like Cam Newton about Maye and the Patriots.

476
It doesn't take that much of a drop-off for the Red Sox to be sellers

HR 1 - Willson Contreras is no lock to be staying in Boston past 2026
We start the show by signing the praises of last night's Home Run Derby by the MLB. What was the biggest success from the Derby and what also could Netflix work on? Then, Willson Contreras had an awesome performance in the Derby and even committed to wanting to stay in Boston, but so many right-handed bats have been interchangeable its hard to set that in stone. And, its clear that if the Red Sox are going to be buyers at the trade deadline, they have nothing to worry about in the starting rotation.
-
473
HR 2 - Hard to believe the Red Sox will dive right into being big buyers
If the trade deadline were to be tomorrow, its no question the Red Sox should be buying to add onto their hot stretch, However, does anyone really believe Craig Breslow and company will fully dive into making their team better? Then, Play Tessie's Sammy James joins the show to talk more about the Sox and if he's back to believing them to be the contenders we thought they'd be at the beginning of the season. And, how much of a change would the season look like if Alex Cora and his fellow coaches weren't fired?
-
472
HR 3 - All roads are pointing towards Christian Gonzalez holding in
The NFL seems to be buying in yet to Drake Maye with the quarterback rankings that've been coming out from the league. Could this be a bad sign for when the torch has to be passed to a new generation of QBs? Then, Greg Bedard's reporting could be a plan from the Patriots to put Christian Gonzalez in a bad light which all leads to a hold in when training camp starts. And, the big outbreak that is spreading throughout the country during the New England Nightly News.
-
471
HR 4 - Jayson Tatum's leadership will now come into focus
The Jaylen Brown conversation continues with a caller suggesting the Celtics got rid of the wrong leader for the team. Should we worry about Jayson Tatum's leadership as he steps into the first year of the C's being his team? Then, an update from the World Cup and the NBA summer league fight between Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo in the Arcand Fire. And, the two-part Dong Report Extravaganza as we hit the All Star break.

Sammy James from Play Tessie joins the show!
From the Play Tessie podcast, Sammy James hops on and speaks with Arcand about if he's a believer in the Red Sox now, where the starting rotation ranks all-time, and if he trusts Craig Breslow ahead of the trade deadline.
-
465
Would the Red Sox have been able to go on this run with Alex Cora?
No one is thinking about Alex Cora and company being fired before this Red Sox hot stretch, but one can wonder if this hot streak could happen if those coaches were still here.
-
464
Based on recent history, don't fall in love Willson Contreras too much
Its been a rotation of right-handed bats to come and go in the Red Sox lineup and even though Willson Contreras is loved among fans, there's no guarantee he'll stay beyond this 2026 season.
-
463
The Home Run Derby was a total success!
Aside from some production choices by Netflix, you could call last night's Home Run Derby a big success with going back semblances of the old format from the glory days.
-
462
Full Show - No more talking about making a big move Craig Breslow; just do it
Only one hour tonight and Arcand starts by offering a "mea culpa" for giving up on the Red Sox so early in the season. Now that Boston has seemingly turned things around, how much more has to be done to keep their hot stretch going? Then, as of now the Sox won't be sellers and turn out to be buyers, but fans need to see Craig Breslow actually make that big add instead of hinting at one. And, we look back on the most notable games from the Sox season that stand out and give thoughts on the new Home Run Derby format.

KJ Carson HR 1 - We still don't have a clear reason as to why Jaylen Brown was traded
KJ is filling in for Christian Arcand tonight to react to the press conference from Brad Stevens and Bill Chisholm after the Celtics traded Jaylen Brown. Were we given more clarity or are there more questions to be asked? Then, communication between Stevens and Brown obviously disintegrated, but we don't know who was the instigator between the two of them. And, Jayson Tatum is the next big domino to watch if he commits to staying in Boston or if he's thinking about life away from the Celtics.
-
459
KJ Carson HR 2 - A full rebuild is starting to approach the Celtics
The conversation from the Celtics' press conference earlier today continues and we look at Bill Chisholm's side of things. If ownership is focused on their finances, is there a rebuild on the horizon for the C's? Then, the Red Sox are on fire to a point where the season can be saved if they go on a nice winning streak. And, ahead of USA vs Belgium, a recent red card reversal has gotten to the point of national news.
-
458
KJ Carson HR 3 - The Celtics' future is a scary thing to think about
Now that management and ownership have spoken about trading Jaylen Brown, its time to start looking ahead towards the future. What kind of power does Jayson Tatum hold now that the Celtics are his team? Then, the next date to watch for is 2029: the year the dark cloud could appear over the Celtics if Tatum decides to leave. And, an update from tonight's World Cup match between the USA and Belgium.
-
457
KJ Carson HR 4 - Its not time to decide on selling for the Red Sox yet
One big hot stretch and the Red Sox can be right back in the thick of things where selling might not be an automatic opinion yet. What is the timeline for when the Sox should pick a lane at the trade deadline? Then, the big winner of the Jaylen Brown trade wasn't the Sixers and certainly not the Celtics, but Jaylen Brown himself. And, the personalities in Boston that KJ is loving and lusting over.
-
456
Jaylen Brown was the winner of his own trade
From the amount talent the 76ers now have (even without LeBron James) and them being seemingly much better than the Celtics, the winner of the trade was Jaylen Brown himself for the situation he's now in.
-
455
If the Red Sox are a series win out, they shouldn't think about selling
One good stretch from the Red Sox and they can be right back in the Wild Card chase which means selling should be out of the question.
-
454
Jayson Tatum could have the dark cloud hover over the Celtics
Jaylen Brown was the first massive contract off the Celtics' books and Jayson Tatum may not be far behind by the time his contract nears its end.
-
453
Call it crazy, but the Red Sox CAN go on a big heater
Don't look now, but the Red Sox have won eight of their last ten games thanks to a sweep of the Angels and even though they remain at 40-48, certain things go the right way and the playoffs are still a possibility.
-
452
The almighty dollar is overtaking the Celtics
Bill Chisholm and his ownership group might be starting to put money ahead of the Celtics with the trade of Jaylen Brown added onto last offseason's trades, the upcoming decision with Jayson Tatum, and even exploring a new arena.
-
451
Jayson Tatum's player option in 2028 now comes into focus
If Brad Stevens truly didn't ask Jayson Tatum about input on the trade of Jaylen Brown then Tatum could be the next one to think about he really wants to spend the rest of his career with the Celtics.
