The Codeswitchers Podcast is back and moisturized for your pleasure! Tony throws another topic in the air for the new ELJAY Reacts segment that's 100% worth the listen (5:15). After the preliminaries, the guys lock in on Mark Cuban's interesting decision to not play the National Anthem before his NBA home games (16:36). Today's episode starts off a little... interesting, but after sorting out the details, L.J. and Tony decide to let their friend Eric stick around as the first ever guest! After a quick pulse check (including L.J.'s close encounter with the recent tornado to touch down in the Birmingham area), the guys pay respects to Larry King, Sekou Smith, and the one-year mark of Kobe Bryant's passing (21:00). That's followed by the obligatory politics section, which includes the Trump Pardons and initial Inauguration thoughts (40:35) and capped off with a victorious return of the Elimination Chamber (69:00). A new week brings new topics for Tony and L.J. to discuss, but not before the return of Tony's Education Appropriation, based around the "unpopular" quotes from Martin Luther King, Jr (11:53). The guys then dive headfirst into the 1776 Report and why it's a waste of time (43:29). SEASON TWO: Episode 2 - Goodman
A new episode, with timestamps! It's a NEW DAY! After the initial celebratory riffs from the guys about James Harden being traded from the Rockets, the guys dig into the information that's been revealed since the U.S. Capitol attacks - from the panic button removal, to the thought process behind being a Black officer in a position to serve and protect when facing a racist mob (7:55), and more concerning the "aftershock" of it all. They also take time to talk about the irony of James Francis Kobel's controversy as part of the NYPD (70:47). The guys finally round it out with a special untitled NBA Outro that dives into the issues with George Hill's defiant statements on COVID-19 protocols (82:55). SEASON TWO: Episode 1 - Thanks For Voting
Season Two of The Codeswitchers Podcast is back in a big way, and what perfect timing! The guys set aside some quality time to deep dive into the issues that enabled the terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol (21:10), but not before sending out prayers to Dr. Dre and that one football coach that had words for Stacey Abrams (well, not really the last one...). There's way more topics they touch on as well, such as the Georgia Senate flip, the removal of the *pogchamp* emoji on Twitch, and the untitled NBA outro! It's good to be back.
