We’ve been looking at the Holy Spirit’s role for Living in the Kingdom. He is without limit and will empower you!

Let’s continue looking at the Holy Spirit’s role for Living in the Kingdom. The Holy Spirit does not “belong” to a denomination or a movement. He cannot be confined to a generation or an age. He has been sent to reveal Jesus and empower the entire Body of Christ.

Many Christians want the blessings of the Kingdom without surrendering to the Holy Spirit’s leadership. Kingdom living is not simply attending church, knowing Scripture, or trying harder to be good. Kingdom living is a life directed, empowered, and transformed by the Holy Spirit.

Grace is crucial for Living in the Kingdom. Paul said in Romans, “where sin abounded, grace abounded much more under Jesus.” Literally, the phrase “abounded much more” means: super-abounded, to exist in abundance. That means God makes His grace “super-abound” over abounding sin. In other words, grace reigns through who you are in Christ and sin has no power over you!

Living in the Kingdom requires grace. Grace is the unearned, unmerited favor of God. By grace, we are also redeemed. Grace is also God’s empowerment. As believers, our position (our standing) should be one of power and authority.

Jesus is the King of the Kingdom.What is the kingdom?It includes the rule and reign of God in your heart.How is this possible?He empowers us with His grace.

When Jesus stepped into history, He introduced something radically different. He revealed a new way of life in a time when people were weighed down by religious legalism and strict traditions. This way of life wasn’t built on rules or earthly systems, but on the transforming power of God’s Kingdom.

Many people have accepted Christ yet still live as if the stone is still over the tomb. They are saved but are still thinking defeated thoughts, carrying old wounds, and walking in old habits. The Scriptures describe a life that all believers have been given, but too few are actually living it.

Over the last several weeks, we looked at the final seven words of Christ. Listen, as we finalize our series by examining the “surprise” resurrection of our Lord.

Baker’s Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology informs us that light literally expels darkness. When we examine the word “light” in the Bible, we'll see a contrast of light and darkness in the Old and New Testaments. The literal contrast is between metaphysical good and evil, God and evil forces, believers and unbelievers. The Bible entertains no thought that darkness is equal in power to God’s light. The Light of God is always shining, which means, as children of light (Eph. 5:8), we should always have the victory in Christ Jesus.

We examine what the scripture says in terms of being a good friend. Come learn more about friendship for our final message of the Friend of God series. 

What are a believer’s requirements to be called a Friend of God? Jesus said to His disciples, “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.” So what are our main actions of obedience? What needs to be the daily focus in our walk with the Lord? Join us as we deepen our understanding of being a friend of God.

Jesus called His disciples His friends. James called Abraham “the friend of God.” Can we be the friend of God? The answer is emphatically, yes! Join us as we break down why James called Abraham Friend of God and what that means for us.

Most people have friends, good friends, close friends, or even best friends. But can we be a Friend of God? To many it may seem strange to see God as a friend. After all, He is the Creator of the universe. Yes, you are still called to be a faithful servant of God, but God can still call you friend!

Our God is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. God is always a man of His word. That’s why God is the One who gets The Last Laugh in Abraham’s journey of faith.

Compromise can hinder and delay the plan of God from coming into fruition. But we never have to compromise to obtain the many promises in God’s Word. Obedience leads us to a place of great blessings and wholeness and builds our faith in the process. 

Life is hard sometimes, isn’t it? But God works through undesirable circumstances to reveal His faithfulness. Abraham’s journey of faith is rewarded with God’s assurance of faithfulness. Join us as we explore how this faithfulness is embodied in a good covenant and promise for the future.

Does God understand that walking in faith isn’t easy? Of course! Join us as we see how God reassures Abraham and how He will do the same for you.
