Maury Sterling is an actor and producer originally from Mill Valley, California. He started acting at the age of 7 in local theatre. He went on to receive his BA in Theatre from UCLA, and also studied at Circle in the Square in NY and ACT in San Francisco. A founding member of the esteemed Los Angeles based theatre troupe Buffalo Nights Theatre Company, Maury produced and performed in almost all of the company's twenty productions over it's ten year lifespan, and has appeared in numerous other theatre productions in Los Angeles, and most recently at The Cherry Lane Theatre in New York. He is probably most recognizable to audiences as Max Piotrowski on the Showtime juggernaut Homeland, in a performance combining warmth and pathos that inspired a front page article in the Wall Street Journal. He has several other series, and numerous recurring and guest roles under his belt. Film credits include Coherence, Veronica Mars, The A-Team, Smokin’ Aces, and Beverly Hills Chihuahua, among others.
