Amy and DJ talk with guest, Pastor Marvin Havard, about the Reconciling in Christ process and his story. Holy Cross is in the midst of the RIC process, which seeks to introduce a welcome statement that specifically acknowledges marginalized segments of the population, such as the Gay, Lesbian, Transgender, Bisexual, and Queer/Questioning community.

The Couch crew is joined at a table this week by Salem Lutheran Director of Adult Ministries and Outreach, Meghan Harmison. Meghan is a former substance abuse therapist. She helps Amy, Jon and D.J. dive into the ELCA social statement on healthcare in light of current events in the country.

In the second edition of Holy Cross' podcast, D.J. invites Bethany College President Will Jones on to the couch. Their conversation dives into race and the real life experiences of President Jones. Then Pastor Jon and Amy are welcomed back to breakdown the questions of the week and the newest prayer tip.
