The Opportunity Is in the Weirdness
✂️https://the-money-map.super.site/Buy me a coffee: ☕️🐍🍭https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowTHE MONEY MAP™ Summer 2026 Only. This episode is about what happens when you stop demanding that everything make sense. It's just me talking. To me that's the magic. It starts with a story about a spiritualist, a servitor, and an encounter that only happened because I followed an impulse that made no sense at the time. From there, we go into Uranus in Gemini, divine timing, Human Design, podcast discovery, AI search, creativity, women's health, perimenopause, cleaning, travel, money, and other stuff. There is a lot happening here. It's kind of a hot mess. But that's the point. We're in a strange window where the rules are changing quickly. I'm interested in what happens when you stop trying to build according to rules that were designed for a world that's already changing—and start paying attention to what is actually emerging. That includes podcasting. We also get into something much more personal: following the strange nudge, noticing the seemingly random connection, and allowing yourself to do something that makes no conventional sense.Topics Covered:Divine timingSpiritualists and energy workServitors and thought formsStrategic partnerships with spiritualistsUranus in GeminiThe Leo solar eclipseEclipse cycles and personal timingSaturn and careerVenus, Uranus, and QuawaHuman Design Gate 44Tribal circuitryVoice and frequencyPodcast discovery versus community buildingTikTok versus MetaAI searchThe emerging AI opportunityThe 2020–2027 cycleSaturn entering Taurus in 2028The future of The Dark Matter ShowBuilding a body of workFinding the people who are actually your peopleMoney MapPattern recognition and convergenceIntuition and navigating in the darkPerimenopause and changes in cognitionWomen's healthChiron in TaurusThe tension between usefulness and simply being enjoyable to listen toStories / Mentions:Listening to a podcast about a spiritualist, a servitor, and a strategic partnershipMeeting an energy worker at a strange local eventThe physical experience that followed the energy-clearing sessionWhy the encounter felt like a Uranian example of doing something that makes no senseBeing told repeatedly that you should be on cameraYour frustration with conventional podcast SEOThe difference between discovery and communityComparing the current AI opportunity with the dot-com eraFinding an old passport while cleaningThe 2016 passport and the last-minute trip to ChinaMartha's VineyardPacking cubes and attempting to become more organizedTraveling with a friend who is extremely organizedCleaning as a way of reducing overwhelmThe Lindsey Clancy trialWomen's health and postpartum mental healthSongs / Mentions:"Higher Ground" — Stevie Wonder"Higher Love" — Steve Winwood"Valerie" — Steve Winwood

It's Time To Find the Scissors and Run With Them
✂️https://the-money-map.super.site/Buy me a coffee: ☕️🐍🍭https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowTHE MONEY MAP™ Summer 2026 Only.Sometimes you don't need another sign. You need to run with the fucking scissors.Venus is about to enter retrograde shadow in Scorpio, Jupiter and Saturn are both hitting 13 degrees, and we're moving through a narrow window where the North Node in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini are pointing toward the future. So what are you waiting for? This is a quick, very Venus episode about risk, money, visibility, self-expression, aging, beauty, creativity, and the decision to stop worrying quite so much about whether what you're doing makes sense to everyone else.Because you can clean it up later. You can color-correct the hair later. You can package the offer later. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.What do you want? What do you want? This episode is a full-volume argument for taking astrology seriously as a precise, personalized system—not a collection of generic interpretations that conveniently separate "personal" planets from "collective" ones.We get into outer-planet transits, personal timing, predictive astrology, receipts, the difference between interpretation and actual analysis, and why thousands of hours of study should eventually make your work look simple—not generic. We're moving from Aries into Taurus: from starting shit to actually building something sustainable. And that shift matters because creators are being trained by platforms to constantly produce, constantly check, constantly optimize, and constantly dance for the algorithm. At what point does creating become another form of self-abandonment?Because eventually you have to decide:Are you going to dance for other people?Or are you going to shine your light?Topics Covered:What you actually want versus what others expectUranus on the AscendantQuaoar and bringing things into form through dancing and singingMercury stationing directPersonal versus collective astrologyWhy outer-planet transits can be intensely personalSaturn on the South NodePredictive astrology and timingThe 2020–2027 collective cycleMars retrograde and the end of 2026Spring 2027 as a major transition pointSaturn-Chiron in 2028Saturn entering Taurus in 2028Aries versus TaurusStarting versus integratingSustainability and foundationsCreator burnoutSocial-media algorithms and dopaminePlatforms designed around human psychologyProcessed food and engineered reward systemsResearch, triangulation, and convergenceThe future evolution of The Dark Matter ShowFull Moon in Aquarius conjunct PlutoCommunication, visibility, and speaking directlyJupiter in Leo and shining your lightStories / Mentions:Looking at the clock at exactly 11:44 AM, your birth timeUranus and Quaoar sitting on your AscendantThe $49 Money Map research roundA client prediction from December 2024 that landed in July 2026The Mars retrograde nightmare of December 2024Listening back to the original Heart vs. Head episodeRecognizing how the current episode connects back to the show's first episodeBuilding the show as a body of work rather than an endless content machineThe tension between creating for yourself and creating for platformsSongs / Mentions:Beastie Boys — “What Do You Want?”“Stop the Insanity” — Susan Powter“The Final Countdown” — EuropeHeart vs. HeadThe Dark Matter ShowClear SignalMoney MapUranusQuaoarSaturnPlutoChironJupiter in LeoFull Moon in Aquarius

Blame it One the Rain
☔️https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowhttps://the-money-map.super.site/The end of the Pisces North Node era as the end of blame, illusion, overcomplication, and the healer identity — moving toward Aquarius and Chiron in Taurus as problem-solving, intelligence, and making shit easier.Blame it on the stars that shine at night.Whatever you do, don't put the blame on you.On the final day of the North Node in Pisces, Milli Vanilli suddenly feels like an astrological teaching. This is a short riff on illusion, responsibility, and what happens when the things we've collectively agreed to pretend are real start looking increasingly ridiculous. From Milli Vanilli to Auto-Tune, filters, influencers, manifestation courses, and manufactured realities, we're closing out Pisces with one last look at the delulu before stepping into something different. But this is also about making life easier.Sourcing from a different quality of intelligence. Letting the insight drop instead of forcing it. Letting the tree solve the problem. Letting money create better problems. My Culminating Thesis: Uranus is the Rick James of Astrology
💥https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowTHE MONEY MAP™ IS NOW OPEN! 8/1-8/28. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.My Thesis: Uranus is the Rick James of astrology. It's the planet that doesn't give a fuck about your carefully constructed plans, your timelines, your traditions, or your five-year strategy. Uranus is the trickster. The disruptor. The cosmic alarm clock that goes off in the middle of the night because it has decided now is the time to wake your ass up.In this episode, I explain why I started calling myself the Rick James of astrology—and why, upon further reflection, Uranus may have earned the title first. We're talking about the fine line between genius and madness, creative chaos, and what happens when you stop trying to make yourself—or your work—more palatable. We get into Uranus versus Saturn, the tension between breaking the rules and creating structure, and why the future requires us to question the old rules we're still using to interpret it.I also talk about the Aquarius North Node, the future, magic, and why I'm interested in bringing in asteroids, centaurs, Kuiper Belt objects, and other less conventional astrological tools rather than pretending the traditional chart tells us everything we need to know.Because sometimes the thing that looks chaotic is actually the thing trying to move you forward. And sometimes you just have to eat five popsicles and see what happens. In this episode:Why I call myself the Rick James of astrologyThe unapologetic, irreverent energy of UranusUranus as the trickster and cosmic disruptorThe tension between Uranus and SaturnThe fine line between genius and madnessWhy creativity and chaos aren't always oppositesThe Aquarius North Node and the futureWhy we need to question old astrological rulesBringing asteroids, centaurs, and Kuiper Belt objects into the conversationMoving from the old paradigm into the newThis is astrology with the gloves off.

There was only one possible response. The planets arranged themselves into what astrologers call a basket. Some are calling it a cradle. Making it a big deal, honey. And the moment I saw it, there was exactly one thing to say: put the lotion in the basket. Now — find me anybody else talking about this astrology cradle business who went to Silence of the Lambs. You won't. They're going to talk about your healing journey. They're going to tell you to cradle yourself in the cradle. Okay, fine. You can hear that anywhere. You cannot hear this anywhere. And that, my friends, is n=1.That's actually what this whole episode turned out to be about. I woke up at 4:30 in the morning — because when you sleep with crystals in your atmosphere, you're going to get additional messages, that's just how it works — and Fox came to me. Fox orients itself through the magnetic frequency of the Earth. Orient, then pounce. Very efficient animal. Which is exactly what Clear Signals is becoming: multisensory navigation for entrepreneurs building the new paradigm. It always was that. I just never said it out loud. Consider this a marker I'm putting down. And then, because Fox brought Foxy Lady, and Foxy Lady brought Jimi Hendrix, I ended up back at the originals. Hendrix. Prince. Even Jackie — if you're Gen X, you need no further explanation. I once watched John Mayer play a private show for a tiny room, back when I was on the team doing the first sponsored livestream ever on YouTube — Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. He wasn't performing for anybody. He was just in his deep gift. And I've never forgotten it, because that's the thing about being an original: there is no other. Nobody can copy you. Everything I've done in my career has been bleeding edge, and yes, it's exhausting, and yes, I'd love someone to pave the way for me for once. But I'd still rather be n equals one.So: put the lotion in the basket. And put some on your feet at night while you're at it.

We Didn't Start the Fire (It Was Always Burning)
🔥https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowEvery generation thinks it's living through unprecedented change. And while some moments really are extraordinary, the deeper truth is that history has always been asking humanity to adapt. This episode explores one of those moments. With Jupiter entering Leo, Uranus settling into Gemini, Mercury retrograde, a rare Saturn-Neptune configuration, Chiron in Taurus, and one of the most unusual outer-planet alignments we've ever experienced, we look at what it means to build for the future without losing your discernment.Along the way we talk about AI, astrology, privacy, business strategy, intuition, travel, systems thinking, and why doing meaningful work requires more than simply reacting to whatever everyone else is reacting to.Because the future isn't asking you to panic. It's asking you to participate.Topics Covered:Rare planetary alignments and why this period is historically significantJupiter entering LeoUranus in Gemini gaining momentumMercury retrogradeThe Full Moon in CapricornPluto in AquariusSaturn-Neptune in AriesChiron in Taurus and the Chiron returnMars-Uranus energyAstrology as real craft versus AI-generated contentDiscernment within spiritual communitiesThe projection field of the 5/1 profileBallyhoo versus substanceThe value of doing deep workBusiness strategy during major collective transitionsAI and the future of creative workPrivacy, surveillance, and digital sovereigntySignal, Proton Mail, and protecting your dataIntuition as quiet nudges rather than dramatic signsForeign travel and expanding into a new life chapterEditing, refining, and consolidating a body of workOne-to-many business modelsBuilding systems that don't depend entirely on youAI as leverage rather than replacementThe challenge of bringing esoteric tools into mainstream businessModeration versus all-or-nothing thinkingReprogramming beliefs during Uranus in GeminiStories / Mentions:Meeting with a mentor who encouraged you to stop giving everything away for freeThe microphone failing during an important recordingHolding the microphone up by handRenewing your passport just before it expiredPast travel to Canada, China, and years of international travelRunning an import/export business and using WeChatMoving toward Signal and Proton MailFacial verification for tax refunds and concerns about digital identityLooking back at older podcast episodes and refining Season 7 and Season 8Wrestling with how to scale your work without losing depthFeeling called toward more travel againThe tension between building for a niche audience versus a broader oneSongs / Mentions:"We Didn't Start the Fire" — Billy Joel"Money, Money, Money" — ABBA"Bye Felicia""Hold My Beer""Quantum Light Codes"WeChatSignalProton MailGoogle DriveClaude AIPluto in AquariusJupiter in LeoUranus in GeminiChiron in TaurusSaturn-Neptune conjunction

The Return of Creative Leadership
Episode 222! Yay!Lions and Tigers and Giraffe's Oh My!🔥https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowStop Hiding Your Light: The Astrology of Creative RangeThe world is getting weird. The astrology is getting weirder. And we're entering a period where hiding, narrowing, packaging, and making yourself palatable may become increasingly difficult to sustain. In this episode, I continue the conversation around the collective astrology of the summer and what Jupiter moving into Leo means for creators, leaders, entrepreneurs, and anyone building something that doesn't fit neatly into a box.We talk about:Why the next year and a half may feel like an acceleration point—and why I think we're moving into a very different phase collectively.Jupiter entering Leo and what this shift means for creativity, leadership, visibility, play, and putting yourself out into the world. Why your unique edge isn't necessarily your niche—and why the thing that makes you different may be exactly what you've been trained to hide. The tension between positioning yourself strategically and watering yourself down to become palatable to the masses. Why women, women of color, and highly intelligent people are often discouraged from having range. The rise of the "micro-expert" and the cultural pressure to stay in one lane. Why creativity requires more range—not less—and why refusing to edit yourself into a single box can be an act of leadership. The difference between authenticity and performance, and why so much of online entrepreneurship has become about optics. Why "full-time entrepreneur" can become an identity people perform rather than a meaningful measure of success. The problem with creating for algorithms, click-through rates, and what looks good instead of what actually moves people. Why AI can't always identify the most emotionally compelling moment—and why human taste, discernment, and intuition still matter. The role of synchronicity and what it means to source from a different kind of intelligence. My experiment with applying intuitive and alternative ways of knowing to business—not just spirituality. Why I'm interested in bringing this work into rooms that aren't necessarily on Instagram or social media. The relationship between hiding your unique edge and hiding your light. And why the return of play, imagination, creativity, and childhood wonder may be more important than we realize. If you've been feeling the tension between who you've been told to be and what you're actually here to create, this is your invitation to look again.Maybe the thing you've been trying hardest to package is the very thing that was never meant to be packaged.Maybe your range isn't the problem.Maybe it's the point.

Not Everyone Deserves a Seat at Your Table
🐉https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowWho’s Gonna Hang It Up When You call?Who’s gonna pick you up when you fall?Who’s gonna pay attention to your dreams? This episode is about discernment — knowing whose advice actually matters, when to listen to your own knowing, and why you should be very careful about taking advice from people who aren't doing what you're trying to do.We talk about the difference between taking care of yourself and giving everything away, the pressure to care about optics, and why sometimes leadership means knowing when to say something publicly, when to handle it privately, and when to simply walk away. Then we go deep into the astrology: Uranus in Gemini, Jupiter moving from Cancer into Leo, Chiron in Taurus, the role of the healer and initiator, and the way planetary cycles can mark the beginning and ending of entire chapters. There are stories about New York before social media, the transformation of Williamsburg, Silicon Valley before COVID, a doctor who showed up at exactly the right moment, and the strange experience of knowing when someone has completed their role in your life.Because sometimes the most important thing a person can do for you is not stay.Sometimes they're there to initiate you, heal something, get you to the next place — and then their chapter is done. And sometimes, the person you're waiting for to pick you up when you fall...is you.Topics Covered:Discernment and knowing whose advice to trustTaking advice from people who are actually doing what you want to doUranus in Gemini and the importance of questioning whose opinions matterJupiter moving from Cancer into LeoJupiter as storyteller and the larger cycles of a chapter or trilogyChiron in Taurus as healer, mentor, initiator, and alchemistChariklo Roles as the star of ths showThe difference between coaching, healing, initiation, and alchemical workLeadership, self-respect, and taking care of yourselfThe pressure to manage optics and other people's opinionsKnowing when to speak publicly and when to handle something privatelyThe danger of giving everything away for freeWealth wounds and personal relationships with moneyThe evolution of New York City before and after social mediaGentrification, Williamsburg, and the transformation of New York neighborhoodsSocial media, influencers, and the changing nature of authenticityHuman Design and astrology as lenses for understanding life transitionsIncarnation Cross and Left Angle Cross MigrationRecognizing when chapters are ending and new ones are beginningThe role of healers, shamans, mentors, and alchemistsThe relationship between astrology and the work you are here to doSpirit-led and esoteric businessAlchemical Advisory vs. traditional business coachingWomen's health, perimenopause, and a possible future return to the subjectLong-range astrological cycles and looking two years aheadSongs / Mentions:"Who's Gonna Pick You Up (When You Fall)" — The Cars"Broken Wings" — Mr. Mister"Eight Ways to Work with Gemini in Business"PsychedelicsThe World CupThe Knicks"United Colors of Benetton""Take Me Home, Country Roads" — John Denver

Stepping Into The Light But Staying Under the Radar
🐉https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowWho’s Gonna Drive You Home Tonight?😱"who is going to block their ears when you scream?"Who’s gonna drive you home tonight?Apparently, it depends on whether you’re ready to let the future take the wheel.Uranus is officially in Gemini, Jupiter is moving into Leo, Venus is in Leo, and we are entering a moment that is asking for two seemingly opposite things at once: shine your light—and think differently about where, how, and for whom you shine it.This episode is part astrology, part business strategy, part rant, and part accidental field trip into Libyan Desert Glass. We talk about the difference between real nervous system work and the endless “heal yourself first” loop that can keep people from ever actually putting themselves out into the world. We talk about why not every problem is a deep wound, why sometimes you just need to learn how to budget, and why the sun doesn't wait for permission to rise. Then we go deeper into Chiron and Chariklo—and why the woman who creates the container for the healing work has been relegated to the sidelines in so much of astrology. This leads into the work I'm actually building: alchemical advisory, business astrology, working with people at inflection points, and helping identify the structural misalignment underneath the problem. And then there's the tension I keep coming back to: Jupiter in Leo says be visible. But another part of me is increasingly interested in staying a little under the radar.Maybe the future isn't about being everywhere.Maybe it's about being unmistakably yourself—and letting the right people find you.Topics Covered:Jupiter entering Leo and the next 13 months of visibilityUranus officially entering Gemini and the future of communicationThe tension between Leo visibility and Scorpio privacyNervous system regulation and the commercialization of healingThe "heal yourself first" loop and using healing as a reason to delay actionMoney, budgeting, and the difference between practical problems and deep woundsBusiness owners and creators as a different kind of audienceLibyan Desert Glass, its mystery, and why it resonatesMoldavite and the difference between what's popular and what's under the radarJupiter in Leo and the importance of shining your lightOuter planet astrology: Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and their different forms of transformationChiron and CharikloPatriarchal astrology and the sidelining of feminine archetypesChariklo as the container, soul midwife, and shepherdChiron as the problem-solver within the containerAlchemical Advisory and the work of structural business alignmentHuman Design and natal astrology as unchanging structural blueprintsTransit astrology as predictive and alchemical workEclipse cycles, the underworld, and timingThe Kuiper Belt goddesses and sourcing a different kind of intelligenceQuantum energy, quantum computing, and Uranus in GeminiThe evolution of astrology content and teachingThe Dark Matter Show as creative leadershipStories / Mentions:Living on a Saturn line and wanting to get the hell off itThe Kanye West "I wanna thank me" momentThe future of speaking about Chariklo and the Kuiper Belt goddessesThe Dark Matter Show as a platform for brave, bold, sophisticated, creative leadership

The Future of Business Will Be Trusting What You Can't Explain
🐉https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowThe Future Doesn't Speak the Old LanguageThe future belongs to people who can integrate structured thinking with intuitive intelligence rather than choosing one or the other. This episode marks my official beginning of the Uranus in Gemini era.We explore what it means to source from a different quality of intelligence—not abandoning reason, but expanding what counts as information. We talk about planning years into the future while remaining open to the unexpected, balancing structure with intuition, and why AI, astrology, creativity, and emerging technologies may all be asking us to think differently about how knowledge is created.Along the way we get into branding, Instagram, entrepreneurship, creative visibility, the difference between inspiration and advice, and why not everyone's opinion deserves equal weight. Finally, we dive into synchronicity, crystals, dragons, Kuiper Belt objects, and the possibility that what many people dismiss as "crazy" may simply be information arriving through channels we haven't fully learned to understand.Topics Covered:Uranus entering GeminiPlanning for long-term cycles and future visionJupiter moving into LeoMercury retrograde in CancerStrategic planning versus flowing with lifeAI and the changing pace of technologyLaunching and relaunching creative workCreative visibility and brandingBuilding an iconic body of workDuality and the different versions of ourselvesKnowing when to reveal and when to protect parts of yourselfReceiving advice versus receiving inspirationChoosing advisors intentionallyEntrepreneurship and operating outside conventional modelsCreative leadershipHuman Design, mastery, and reciprocityAstrology as a planning tool rather than a prediction machineSynchronicity as meaningful informationCrystals, dragons, Kuiper Belt objects, and expanded intelligenceSourcing from a different quality of intelligenceIntuition, subconscious processing, and creating space for insightStructure versus flowThe role of silence, walking, and driving in creative thinkingStories / Mentions:AI editing minutes compared with old Sprint phone plansPlanning for Spring 2028Flying under the radar while making bigger movesThe black-and-white duality Working with advisors and mentorsThe challenge of getting feedback on unconventional creative workThe tension between authenticity and strategic self-presentationDiscovering lepidolite's connection to scales and dragonsLong drives without the radio as a source of insightLetting intuition guide future research rather than forcing conclusionsSongs / Mentions:"Who's Gonna Drive You Home Tonight" — The Cars"Who's Gonna Pick You Up (When You Fall)" — The Cars"Passion""Karma Chameleon" — Culture Club / Boy GeorgeWhitney HoustonBananaramaAI editing toolsLepidoliteLibyan Desert GlassDragonsKuiper Belt objectsQuaoarUranus in GeminiJupiter in LeoMercury RetrogradeUranus in Gemini

Allocate Your F*cks While Not Apologizing for Existing
🌳https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowgo bark up a tree! Not every battle deserves your energy. Not every complaint deserves an apology. And not every uncomfortable interaction deserves a permanent place in your nervous system. This episode starts with an everyday encounter that never actually needed to become a story. Because the details aren't the point. The point is learning to recognize when someone is asking you to carry emotional labor that doesn't belong to you—and deciding whether they deserve any of your attention in the first place. We explore Gemini through the lens of your day-to-day environment: neighbors, gyms, coffee shops, shared spaces, and the countless small interactions that quietly shape your life. Sometimes the wisest move is preserving the relationship. Other times, the healthiest response is making it clear that you're not available to play someone else's game. From there we get into passive aggression, women being conditioned to apologize, the fear of being labeled "difficult," and why leadership isn't about being endlessly agreeable.Because boundaries aren't about winning. They're about deciding where your energy belongs.Topics Covered:Choosing your battles wiselyGemini and the day-to-day environmentNeighbors, shared spaces, and everyday interactionsAllocating your energy intentionallyPassive-aggressive versus direct communicationSetting boundaries without overexplainingWomen and the pressure to apologizeThe fear of being labeled a "Karen"Assertiveness versus unnecessary accommodationSensory sensitivity and creating environments that help you thriveHuman Design and environmental preferencesHigh digestion and sound sensitivityFive-line energy and boundariesRespecting your own needs without guiltLeadership versus people-pleasingSocial conditioning around "nice" womenMean girl culture and online labelsValidation culture and social mediaFeminine leadership through Venus in LeoChoosing peace without becoming passiveStanding your ground without creating unnecessary conflictStories / Mentions:The recording cutting off and deciding to leave the original story behindThe yoga studio incidentsPrevious experiences with office neighborsLiving alone because of sensitivity to soundStaying with a friend in New York and tiptoeing around the apartmentA passive-aggressive interaction and responding without wordsThe "Karen" label and how it affects women's willingness to speak upA catered event where someone DoorDashed different coffeeBlue Bottle CoffeeAirbnb and trying to be a respectful hostA neighbor illegally growing marijuanaThe evolution of "mean girl" language onlineThreads conversations about feminine leadershipSongs / Mentions:"Blaze of Glory" — Jon Bon JoviBlue Bottle CoffeeDoorDashThreadsGeminiVenus in LeoHuman Design

Holding Hands: When Flow Meets StructureWhat happens when Jupiter and Saturn hold hands? In this episode, I riff on the rare magic of flow meeting structure—and why I think that combination is one of the keys to not just being successful, but actually enjoying your life.We talk about:The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction at 0° Aquarius during the 2020 Winter Solstice—and why moments like this can mark bigger turning points. What Jupiter and Saturn working together can teach us about balancing discipline with flexibility, structure with flow, and focus with adaptability. The uncomfortable question underneath conventional ideas of success: What are you actually building your life around? Why someone else's definition of success can become a prison if you never stop to question whether you actually want the life you're working toward.Saturn as the foundation—and why a foundation built on someone else's authority isn't really a foundation at all.The difference between being the author of your life and living according to someone else's rules. Why I don't believe in creating content simply because people want to hear it.The astrology of Mars in Cancer, and my argument that the traditional interpretation of Mars in Cancer reflects patriarchal assumptions about what "good" action looks like.A reminder to stop giving your energy—and your fucks—to people who don't matter. And yes, this is apparently Episode 200. 🎉Maybe the real question isn't whether you're successful.Maybe it's whether the life you've built is actually yours.

Hi-ho, The Derry-o! The Cheese Stands Alone
🧀https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowIf you are editing yourself to communicate what people like, you're not a leader. You're a follower.”What does the farmer in the Dell teach us about life? The cheese stands alone.A Gemini New Moon. The philosophy of leadership. When you actually stand in your own truth—not the version that gets likes, approval, accolades, followers, or a gold star—you may discover there aren't that many people standing there with you. This episode is about the difference between leading + following the crowd. We get into the Leo-Aquarius polarity: individual creative leadership versus groupthink, popularity, algorithms, validation, pitchfork culture, and the strange bargain we've made with social media. We talk about why integrity sometimes comes at the expense of commerce, why expertise can require detachment from what people want to hear, and why the advice you're given may be optimizing for someone else's definition of success. We go deeper into ancestry, feminine leadership, creativity, cancel culture, AI, faceless creators, podcast growth, and what it means to actually put your name, face, and reputation behind something you create. And dancing for the algorithm doesn't necessarily get you the cheese.Sometimes leadership means going against the crowd.Topics Covered:The Gemini New Moon and childhood symbolism"The Cheese Stands Alone" as a metaphor for leadership and isolationStanding in your own truth when other people don't understand youAquarius, detachment, and the collectiveThe Leo-Aquarius polarityRespecting the craft over making something universally appealingValues and fixed-sign energyFeminine leadership and Venus in LeoCancel culture, political correctness, and pitchfork cultureAncestry and honoring the people who came before youFirst-generation identity and connection to lineageUranus in Gemini and nonlinear storytellingCreativity without a predetermined formulaSaturn in Leo and ownership of creative workChanging as a creator as your work and audience evolveQuality versus publishing cadencePodcast growth metrics versus your own definition of successAsking what agenda sits behind the advice you're receivingPluto in Aquarius and tech dystopiaAI-generated content and the changing meaning of "creator"Experimentation and changing your mind about platformsLeadership as putting something at stakeTribe versus collective commentaryEditing yourself for approval versus leadingStories / Mentions:"The Farmer in the Dell" and the cheese standing aloneThe difference between being an astrologer and being a marketer"Blaze of Glory" and the Leo/fire connectionVenus and the number 13Fable 5 Claude being pulled down by the U.S. government during Uranus square the nodesThe August Leo eclipse landing on SaturnBeing a product of generations who survived war and hardshipWomen shrinking themselves to appease strangersThe Heart vs. Hive episode and early conversations about tech dystopiaJudy Tizavir and Meredith from the original episodesAI-generated profile pictures and writingChoosing not to use a pseudonym and owning what you say publicly

An Expansion in Visibility, Creativity and Going Out in a Blaze of Glory
💥Work With Me: https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowThis was meant to be five minutes. She can't do five minutes. We learn.☀️Venus entering Leo, Jupiter Entering Leo and We Talk about it. Jupiter there will interact with Saturn in fire signs - something - of course - no one talking about. It's a Gemini New Moon - kicking off the Uranus in Gemini transit so let's have chit chat.Hopefully you enjoyed all my crazy content — the car rides, on the phone yelling, telling stories, acting the fool. Very Gemini. This episode was meant to be five minutes. She can't do five minutes. That's like saying I can have Klondike bars in the house and not eat all of them. (You know what I ate before bed last night? A Klondike bar. Am I proud? No. Would I do it again? Yes. Leave me alone.)But the point is home. Jupiter was moving through Cancer, and Jupiter expands everything it touches — and a lot of people became aware that where they live is not nourishing. I know that feeling. When I left the Bay Area, I was getting rashes. I don't have allergies. I don't have sensitive skin. So I knew something was up — my apartment was kicking me out. I lived in an armpit, literally, the armpit around the airport, and I stayed longer than I should have because I knew I'd never get that price point again. And New England — these are my roots, but roots aren't automatically home. I once told a man, "I wish there were more people of color here," and his response was basically: no matter where you are, there you are. The experience is what you make of it. That is the most white-coded thing you can say to a person of color. I was already uncomfortable walking in the room, pushing the envelope, and you're asking me to just... pretend? Cancer says: figure out what actually feels like home. And if your people and your environment ain't it, you gotta make some changes. Or not. Nothing's easy. No one said it's easy. This isn't your life coaching plan. Also in here: you gotta understand yourself. She thought she could buy the sweetened creamer and have it "once in a while as a treat." You know what's never gonna happen? That's never gonna happen. She gonna chug it like a beer. We love to tell ourselves stories, don't we, Gemini? And the stories you tell yourself are the most powerful stories. You think you out? You out. You think you're just pulled over on the side of the highway and getting back on the road? That could be your story instead.Which is also my answer to all the fear-mongering — the you'll-get-left-behind, your-job-won't-exist articles playing on people's fear. Start thinking like a marketer. Understand people's motivations. They're not pure. And while we're at it: if you're a woman over 40, put your own oxygen mask on first, because no one is going to put it on for you. Advocate for your health, because no one else will. Then the big one: I closed my company, and it turned out to be almost exactly a nine-year cycle — a product I launched, without knowing astrology, in the literal dark moon of my life. A very clear ending, and a very obvious new beginning. Jupiter is flow, but flow alone doesn't build anything. Saturn's over here asking: what the fuck are you building? You need both. I'm figuring out how to do both, and I'll figure it out because that's what I'm going to do.🔥In a blaze of glory, honey.🧀The Cheese stand alone. (I need some cheese.)

The 4444 Barbault Basket: One Important Virgoan Detail
🧺https://linktr.ee/thedarkmattershowThe word for the day is.... isoscelesBefore we move forward...A Virgo correction. In this short follow-up, I revisit the rare 4-4-4 planetary configuration to clarify an astrological detail and explain why precision matters when you're talking about complex systems. But the bigger point isn't the correction itself. It's that astrology isn't meant to be a collection of generic, feel-good advice. The same planetary weather will land differently depending on your natal chart, your lived experience, and the elements you naturally carry.Along the way I reflect on building industry firsts throughout my career, the surprisingly exhausting reality of simply being a human, and why this fiery period asks us to think about balance rather than blindly following generalized interpretations.Topics Covered:Correcting the 4-4-4 planetary configurationTrines, sextiles, and the "cradle" formationThe importance of precision in astrologyWhy generic astrology advice falls shortWorking with your own natal chartBalancing fire, air, earth, and waterJupiter entering LeoMercury retrograde in CancerThe energetic preview of what's coming nextIndividualized astrology versus one-size-fits-all interpretationsStories / Mentions:Working on Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' first sponsored YouTube live streamBuilding projects that were industry firstsThe exhaustion of constantly creating something that has never existed beforeDriving to yoga and realizing that taking care of yourself can feel like a full-time jobCatching an astrological mistake and immediately correcting itSongs / Mentions:"Empire State of Mind" — Jay-Z & Alicia Keys"Cruel Summer"YouTube Live4-4-4 planetary configurationMercury RetrogradeJupiter in Leo
