What a mind fuck this game was, and the DGenz loved every second of it! Okay, explain what Inscrpytion is... going to have to use the KISS method; keep it simple, stupid. The google machine describes developer Daniel Mullins masterpiece as a roguelike deck-building game. Yeah it's that, but mixed with a third wall-breaking horror story escape room. This is going to be a tough article to write because I believe the beauty of this game is not knowing what the actual fuck is going on half the time. This is your *Spoiler alert*, and out of respect to the genius that is Mr. Mullins, I will make the article as vague as possible so as not to ruin the journey for readers who still need to check the game out.The game messes with you immediately by only allowing you to continue, not start a new game. You get dropped into simple enough with a creepy guy in the shadows challenging you to card games with a map in front of him. As the player, you traverse the map that gives off Kubo and the Two Strings vibes. As you shuffle along you collect and power up cards and try and get through the boss at the end of each stage. The cool thing is you can walk around the room and solve puzzles to help you out as you go. Also when you die you have to start over, but you get to make a very powerful card that you can use in your next run. I was the second of the 4 Degenerates to play this game, so I remember texting Gizzi very confused when it threw its first massive curveball. Without giving too much away, Inscryption does a good job of making you think you got stuck, confusing you with real-life videos, and dropping you into a different game. Just the Tips(For First-Timers) If you feel like the game is messing with you, it is. If you feel stuck, try going back to the man menu. Do the side puzzles as you go along, but also know clues will come for all of them except the domino-looking weight ones. I'm dumb, so I never figured out the trick behind them, but I did unlock all of them by elimination.In the game's second stage, I came up with a foil farming system that made the whole stage a hell of a lot easier. You'll come upon a training dummy, and you can beat the shit out of it as much as you want. You want to get out three Urayulu at once. To do that, fill your deck with them and cards like meat boxes for snacks for the big Franken weenie. Set them up so you can do 14 damage and, get the maximum overkill points, and take a bath in foils, baby.In the third stage, be prepared to feel like this game is watching you. I won't spoil what happens, but what happens to your personal gaming info at this stage is weird. It's a good weird, though. Kadhim Games Says: 8.1/1010/10 for originality. I'm glad I played this game, and if you feel like you are in a rut of games that are thaSXCΩÍ≈ÇÇ≈e same shit over and over again, you should try it. I can't promise you will love the game, but you will not turn it off, saying you have played a game like it before. The music is creepy and sets a tone for the game, and the overall style of the game has an incredible pace. The whole time I was playing, I took notes way more than usual because I didn't know what the hell might matter next. I felt like a conspiracy theorist with rubber bands staring at every freeze-frame in the card opening videos. "That yellow mug has a chip in it... maybe that matters... write it down".This was a solid one and done for me. You can do some extra stuff once you beat it, but I was ready to throw it away like a used condom. What I'm weird for using that comparison. Do you keep them or something sicko? Anyway, like I said from the beginning, I'm happy to delete this creepy game, but glad I played it

Dblock is playing Stalker 2, running around Chornobyl, and fighting zombies or whatever they may be. He’s also getting jumped by xenomorphs in Aliens Dark Decent. Gizzi is checking out Marvel: Rivals and opening up portals on Fools as Doctor Strange. He’s also sliding under doors running from boulders in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle. The kid is playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and enjoying the mini-games. And I’m enjoying the new Madden, playing in a competitive league.

This is the first of our monthly "D-Generate a Game" reviews and podcasts. At the beginning of every month, one of the hosts of the Stuck On the Home Screen Podcast will pick a game currently free in the PlayStation and Steam library to play all the way through by the end of the month. Our guest this week lead the charge to build an "Ezone" Gaming Center in the Recovery Sports Grill in upstate NY.   Tommy Gabriel talks about pitching the idea to his company BBL Hospitality and seeing it come to fruition. The setup is incredible, with several next-gen systems hooked up for tournaments that can play on the tvs all around the restaurant. Tommy gives us insight into the business side of building the Ezone, partnering with Claim To Fame Entertainment, and how BBL is getting ahead of the game.

The year is 1993, and the world's favorite Italian plumber is taking video game fans on the maiden voyage of video game to movie adaptions.   In the 30 years since that beloved but strangely executed film, there haven't been many "good" video game-to-movie turns.   The crew rolls through how awesome the 90's video game scene was and discusses the good games turned into bad movies.

All the lights are out in your house.   The dim light from the hot pockets in the microwave and the system booting up on your tv is all visible.   These games will scare the shit out of you but still have you coming back for more. Some of the crew's favorite games took home hardware at the Game Awards. Christopher Judge had on the most baller outfit ever, and we don't agree with the Game of the Year winner. We also go over the top three games we played this year.

The Queen of Verdansk Cait talks about you shmucks on prox chat who have clearly never talked to a woman in real life and the toxic masculinity in gaming. 

Sami takes over the mystery sack of questions. His first questions is if you could live in any video game what would you live in? If you could make any video game what would it be? The fellas host their first live show together!   We are coming to you from the Franklin Alley Social Club, a dope shuffleboard and arcade spot in Troy, NY.  Super pumped to read our first promo for the first season of the Paramount+ series Halo, based on the Xbox game franchise, which is now available on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD.  We talk about our favorite arcade games and bring on some of our best gaming and real life friends to chat.   **Now to the audio elephant in the room** Kadhim Games team thought we had the audio figured out to do this thing.... we did not.  Bare with us; we promise to get better so you can hear more than just Cheech.  Unless you like hearing Cheech, you should get yourself checked out if you do.

Kadhim's Korner just got a whole lot smarter.   D-Block and Kid Kadhim are excited to talk with Melanie Stegman, Ph.D. Dr. Stegman or Melanie (she told us we could call her that) is a biochemist who got into coding in her 40's because she's awesome and likes to bring people along with her on her lifelong learning journey.   She is the Owner and Creative Director of Molecular Jig Games. Melanie, D-Block, and Kid Kadhim discuss Immune Defense, one of Melanie's games, and the impact educational games have on kid's ability and willingness to learn.   It's more important than ever to have an informed public with all the craziness in the world today, and Melanie has found a way to make it fun. Kid Kadhim really thought outside the box for this week's topic of the top three medical professionals in gaming. (Or at least people who claim to be in the game).

COD Modern Warfare 2 is online and the fellas give their first impression. Kid Kadhim is playing Dragon Ball: The Breakers, a tag like game featuring DBZ villains and Oolong and Bulma as playable characters. D- Block is playing the Long Dark, a divorced couple is stuck in the wilderness trying to survive. Our top 3 this week is video games Villains. We've got a robust list of gaming baddies you love to hate.

A special FRIDAY NIGHT Kadhim's Korner.  The crew is running some Overwatch 2 to mixed reviews.   Cheech, D block, and a mid-Pod appearance from the queen of Verdansk Cait are your hosts.   It's Friday night, so we played a game of taking a sip every time someone mentioned someone we know.   Kid Kadhim played Rivalia: Dungeon Raiders and Serial Cleaners. Rivalia is a fun indy RPG, and Serial Cleaners is a crazy noir where the player cleans up crime scenes for the mob.  There's a dude who throws limbs at cops to get away, it's great.   Cheech is cleaning up dino enclosures in the new Lawn Simulator. D-Block entered the infinite loop of death in... Deathloop. Cait debuts her "Cait can't stand it" segment. Make sure you stick around as the sips start showing at the end, leading to hilarity and ridiculous banter.
