    Dread Engine

Dread Engine is an electronic hard rock/ metal quartet from Newark, though also calling Columbus home as well. Their sound and style is constantly shifting thanks to the man behind the mic and programming, Rick Kaercher. Also pushing their style forward is guitarist  Jake Spears, who stepped up to the other mic to provide some clean vocals. Lastly, a band is nothing with out a solid rhythm section, and providing the thunder thunderous beat and groove are Jay Coughlin(Drums) and Johnathan Collins (Bass) With a self titled EP and their full length album Deception By Design, they will soon be adding their second album Parabellum to their arsenal. They have assured its going to be a huge step from previous works, exploring new sonic landscapes and honing what they have already built. 38. 1

    Shaena Rabbani and Nick Glaser

Shaena Rabbani is a Stand Up Comedienne based in Columbus Ohio, although originally from LA( quite the questionable move). A very bright mind and spirit powers her as she moves forward in finding a career in comedy. She host her own podcast( that is going through a name change) and runs a comedy night at Juniors on Monday nights a block away from her podcast guest on this episode! She also saved Destin a lot of stress in producing a character roast of Batman when she filled in as Wonder Woman on hours notice, making her Destin's hero and proving that she truly is a Wonderful Woman. She is also sweet enough to give you diabetes via handshake.  Nick Glaser is a Columbus Comedy vet, but his steel wit was forged in Pittsburg (get it?! Pittsburg is know for its steel and he's from there?! Man I'm funny! I have such a future in comedy!) He runs Columbus's premier comedy open mic at Shrunken Head on Monday nights. Although the venue helps, the true success of the show comes from Nick's personality and experience, but more so the wisdom he gives those trying it for the first time and giving them a welcome warmer than the bread he so often bakes!( which is saying a lot!) Alongside Dustin Meadows, he co host a podcast called Nu Metal, Who Dis?!. He also, along with Destin, acknowledges Blueberry jelly as the superior jelly to fill a donut with. Nick also as supportive wife and kids that he loves very much. He is a very funny guy and a very good friend of mine In this episode, we have a VERY lengthy conversation about the early stages of comedy( as to be expected) but we also discuss regional foods, the mad genius concept of Ohio Valley style pizza, and the physical properties of grits/ liquid cornbread Follow them on all forms of social media! Pho was from Mai Chau Kitchen in Granville Ohio. Too many other shoutouts to count, but check them all out. As always, tune in every Tuesday for new episodes, and as always, Stay PHOnomenal!
