The Campfire Files: Ghost Profile - Part Three

Episode 3: Five Business Days The countdown is over. The car knows exactly where it's going. And this time... It isn't asking permission. In the conclusion of Ghost Profile, Cole and Maren discover the destination the mysterious navigation system has been trying to reach since the day they picked up the vehicle. What waits at the end of that lonely Texas road forces them to confront a terrifying realization: perhaps the car was never trying to trap them. Perhaps it was trying to deliver something. Or someone. Blending documented concerns about connected-car privacy with a chilling supernatural mystery, Five Business Days asks one final question: What happens when technology remembers something it was never supposed to forget? Some journeys don't end when you reach your destination. Some only begin there. Case file closed. Or perhaps... The Campfire Files: Ghost Profile - Part Two

Episode 2: What the Car Remembers They tried to return the car. The rental company wouldn't take it. Five business days. That's how long it would take to process a complaint before the vehicle could even be considered for removal from the fleet. Unfortunately... They only had three. As Cole and Maren dig deeper into the SUV's history, they uncover a disturbing pattern of complaints spanning months, all involving the very same vehicle. Strange GPS routes. Electronics behaving on their own. Devices reconnecting after being deleted. Then another name appears on the dashboard. Not Roy. Someone else. Someone who also disappeared. In Part Two of Ghost Profile, Carolyn explores the frightening intersection of modern technology, corporate oversight, and the possibility that some systems remember far more than they should. Because sometimes the scariest thing isn't the ghost. It's realizing you're not the first person it's been waiting for. 🎧 Listen & Follow Follow The Devil Within so you're ready for the final chapter of Ghost Profile. ⭐ Rate & Review If you're enjoying the show, please leave a five-star rating and review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. 📺 Watch & Subscribe on YouTube Watch video episodes and exclusive content on the Evio Creative YouTube Channel. 📬 Share Your Story Have a paranormal or unexplained technology story? The Campfire Files: Ghost Profile - Part One

Episode 1: The Last Renter A summer getaway begins with an ordinary rental car. Within minutes of leaving the airport, an unfamiliar Bluetooth device appears on the dashboard. ROY'S iPHONE. The mysterious phone refuses to disconnect, the vehicle begins changing its own navigation, and an innocent road trip toward East Texas slowly transforms into a terrifying mystery connected to a man who vanished without a trace. This week on The Devil Within, our Campfire Files series continues with Ghost Profile, a story inspired by real concerns surrounding connected vehicles, digital privacy, and the unsettling question of what technology might remember long after we're gone. The Campfire Files: The Board - Part Three

Episode 3: What Stayed The hardest part wasn't getting out of the cabin. It was discovering that leaving didn't necessarily mean the story was over. In the conclusion of this three-part Campfire Files series, Carolyn follows the lingering aftermath of one terrifying weekend. The board is gone. The cabin is quiet once again. But months later, unanswered questions—and unexplained events—continue to haunt those who were there. Who—or what—was "Lia"? Why did the board single out one member of the group? And what do you do when the only evidence left behind is a name, a memory, and the unmistakable feeling that something still remembers you? What Stayed explores the unsettling possibility that not every haunting is violent. Some simply refuse to let go. Case file closed. Or perhaps... Left open. 🎧 Listen & Follow

The Campfire Files: The Board - Part Two

Episode 2: What It Asked For They put the board away. Closed the lid. Shut the drawer. And told themselves the weekend could finally return to normal. It didn't. In Part Two of The Devil Within's Campfire Files, strange occurrences begin spreading beyond the board itself. A drawer opens on its own. One friend begins speaking in ways she cannot later remember. And the group slowly realizes whatever answered them no longer seems confined to a wooden game board. It wants something. It wants them to stay. As Carolyn traces the psychological tension, folklore, and eyewitness accounts surrounding one unforgettable weekend in the Blue Ridge Mountains, one question becomes impossible to ignore: What happens when curiosity becomes an invitation? Because sometimes the scariest words aren't shouted. Sometimes they're whispered. And sometimes they simply ask you not to leave. 🎧 Listen & Follow

The Campfire Files: The Board - Part One

Episode 1: The Board Four college friends rent a cabin outside Boone, North Carolina, for what should have been an ordinary autumn weekend in the mountains. Instead, they discover something none of them expected: an old Ouija board left behind by a previous guest. No one brought it. No one believes in it. So they decide to ask it a question. The answer comes almost immediately. What begins as harmless curiosity quickly becomes something none of them can explain. A name appears across the board. A voice in the room begins to change. And one simple response—YES—sets in motion a weekend none of them would ever forget. In Part One of this three-part Campfire Files case, The Devil Within explores a story rooted in real places, documented history, and the unsettling possibility that some doors, once opened, don't easily close. Sometimes the most dangerous decision isn't summoning something. It's believing nothing will answer. 🎧 Listen & Follow

    The Devil's Ledger - Week of June 29th, 2026

The Devil's Ledger — Week of June 30, 2026 This week on The Devil's Ledger, we celebrate the spirit of the 2026 FIFA World Cup as the United States, Canada, and Mexico continue welcoming the world with open arms. Amid months of political division, it's been refreshing to see communities across North America reminding us why sports have a unique way of bringing people together. From packed stadiums to neighborhood watch parties, hospitality has taken center stage—and yes, maybe ranch dressing deserves a little credit too. We begin, as always, with The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week. This week we travel to Montreal's historic Griffintown, where ghost hunters, historians, and curious locals gathered on June 27 to await the legendary return of Headless Mary Gallagher. Murdered and decapitated in 1879, local folklore claims Mary's spirit returns every seven years on the anniversary of her death, wandering the streets in search of the head she lost nearly 150 years ago. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, it's a haunting reminder that some stories refuse to die. On The Devil Within, our Campfire Files series continues with one of our most believable paranormal stories yet. Four college friends rent an Airbnb cabin for a relaxing weekend in the mountains and discover what appears to be an ordinary board game left behind by a previous guest. The only problem? It's a Ouija Board. What begins as harmless curiosity slowly transforms into something unsettling, proving that sometimes the scariest stories aren't the loudest—they're the ones that feel like they could happen to anyone. On Criminal Mischief, Carolyn Ossorio is keeping this week's case a complete secret. Is she racing to meet another impossible deadline? Or has she uncovered a story so disturbing she wants listeners to experience it with fresh ears? We honestly don't know—but knowing Carolyn, it could very well be both. Tune in and find out. On The Slippery, Scott Eldridge and Nancy Moscatiello unravel the extraordinary story of Gaurav Srivastava, a man who convinced world leaders, celebrities, and business executives that he had been recruited by the CIA as a teenager. His elaborate intelligence persona opened doors across the global oil industry—until investigators began asking difficult questions. It's a remarkable story of deception, influence, and one of the most audacious confidence schemes in recent memory. On Forever Young, Dr. John Layke and Dr. Payman Danielpour explore the rapidly evolving world of regenerative medicine, separating science from hype as they discuss how stem cell therapies may reshape healthcare in the years ahead. If you're interested in living healthier and longer, this is an episode you won't want to miss. Finally, in This Week in Horror, we revisit the return of Scary Movie. More than twenty years after the original became a comedy phenomenon, the franchise is back with another round of outrageous horror parody, proving that even today's most terrifying films aren't safe from a good laugh. 🎧 Listen & Follow

Something In The Water - Part Three

Episode 3: What It Left Behind Leaving a place doesn't always mean leaving it behind. Three days after returning home to Kansas City, Sara begins having dreams about Table Rock Lake. In them, she drifts above the flooded valley, suspended in dark water while something ancient moves below. The lake is hundreds of miles away. Yet every night she wakes with the same feeling: Cold. Not the room. Her. In the final chapter of Something in the Water, Carolyn explores what happened after the trip ended—and whether some encounters leave behind more than memories. Local divers speak quietly about cold spots that shouldn't exist. About moments of disorientation in familiar waters. About the persistent sensation that something beneath the lake is watching from below. No disappearances. No documented tragedies. Just stories. And the feeling. Across Indigenous traditions, the Underwater Panther was never simply a monster. It was a force—a boundary between worlds. Those touched by it were sometimes believed to carry a lingering awareness of what lies beneath the surface. Sara was eventually asked whether she believed something followed her home. Her answer was simple: "I think I got noticed by something very old that doesn't notice people very often. And now I know it's there. And it knows I know." Table Rock Lake remains as beautiful as ever: blue water, green hills, children leaping from docks on summer afternoons. But beneath the surface lie flooded towns, forgotten roads, and older stories that may never have truly disappeared. Case file closed. Or perhaps merely submerged. Learn more about your ad choices. Something In The Water - Part Two

Episode 2: The Pool Water has a way of finding its path. Through stone. Through memory. Through places we believe are sealed shut. In Part Two of Something in the Water, the events at Table Rock Lake take an even stranger turn. After days of unsettling encounters on the water, Sara wakes in the middle of the night to find something impossible: a pool of cold water in the center of her bedroom floor. No leaking pipes. No open windows. No explanation. As fear spreads through the cabin, four members of the group decide it's time to leave. But Sara—the very person who experienced the first encounter in the lake—chooses to stay. Why? Because what she experienced didn't feel like a threat. It felt like attention. As Sarah examines centuries-old traditions surrounding the Underwater Panther, a disturbing pattern emerges. Across cultures and generations, stories of the entity share one detail above all others: it chooses. And once it notices you, leaving the water may not be enough. By morning, the mysterious pool has vanished. But the towels used to clean it up have been moved. Folded neatly at the foot of Sara's bed. Sometimes the most terrifying thing isn't what we see. It's the feeling that something has seen us. 📱 Follow The Devil Within Instagram, TikTok & Facebook: @thedevilwithinpod 🌐 Follow Evio Creative Instagram: @eviocreative Or, if you want to drive engagement a bit harder: 📱 Join the Community Follow The Devil Within on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook @thedevilwithinpod for episode clips, behind-the-scenes content, historical deep dives, and the creepiest stories we can't fit into the podcast. 🌐 Follow Evio Creative Stay up to date with all our shows at @eviocreative on Instagram. Something In The Water - Part One

Something in the Water - Part One Six friends arrive at Table Rock Lake in the summer of 2010 expecting a quiet week in the Ozarks—swimming, boating, and long evenings beneath the Missouri stars. What they find instead is a place with a history far older than the dam that created it. This week on The Devil Within, we begin a three-part campfire case rooted in documented history, Indigenous tradition, and the uneasy possibility that some places remember what was buried beneath them. When the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers completed Table Rock Dam in 1958, they flooded an entire valley, submerging roads, foundations, churches, and whole communities beneath more than 43,000 acres of water. But the flooded towns were not the first things to disappear from this landscape. Long before the lake existed, the Osage people lived along the White River and carried stories of powerful beings dwelling beneath the water. Among them was a mysterious figure known across the Mississippi watershed as the Underwater Panther—a guardian of thresholds, deep places, and the dangerous boundary between worlds. Then one swimmer feels an impossible cold in the middle of an August afternoon. Something brushes against her ankle. The next day, someone else is pulled beneath the surface. And before the week is over, the group begins to wonder whether the lake is merely covering something—or keeping it. Because some waters are deeper than they appear. And some things beneath them are still waiting. The Devil's Ledger - Week of June 22nd, 2026

The Devil's Ledger — June 22, 2026 This week on The Devil's Ledger, we celebrate the United States Men's National Team advancing out of the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and recognize the incredible efforts of host cities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico for welcoming fans from around the world. Then we dive into another week of strange stories, unsettling mysteries, and sinister tales from across the Evio Creative universe. We begin, as always, with The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week—the disturbing true story of a family who purchased a foreclosed home in Connecticut only to discover three sets of human remains inside. What should have been the start of a new chapter quickly became the center of a mystery years in the making. On The Devil Within, we gather around the campfire for Something in the Water. What begins as a relaxing getaway at Table Rock Lake becomes a terrifying encounter with something lurking beneath the surface. Strange events, unexplained encounters, and a growing realization that whatever is in the lake wants to be seen force a group of friends to confront a chilling question: what happens when something ancient decides it wants your attention? On Criminal Mischief, Carolyn Ossorio delivers another unforgettable story. This isn't a notorious serial killer or a decades-old wrongful conviction. It's something far more relatable—and perhaps more frightening because of it. A case that reminds us how quickly an ordinary day can become a nightmare and how vulnerable we all are to dangers hiding in plain sight. On The Slippery, the bizarre saga of Jose Lantigua continues. A successful businessman claims to be suffering from a rare and terminal illness allegedly connected to his past as a CIA operative. After traveling to Venezuela for a secret experimental procedure, he disappears—leaving behind unanswered questions, a multimillion-dollar insurance policy, and investigators who suspect nothing is as it seems. And in This Week in Horror, we take a look at Corporate Retreat, a new horror film in which a company leadership retreat descends into chaos, violence, and death. As alliances crumble and secrets emerge, the greatest threat may not be lurking in the wilderness—it may be sitting in the next boardroom chair. 🎧 Listen & Follow

The Campsite That Wasn’t Empty — Part Two

The Campsite That Wasn’t Empty — Part Two Campfire Files: True Stories That Followed Them Home If Part One was about recognition— Part Two is about consequence. Because the most dangerous assumption people make about places like this is simple: That whatever happens there… stays there. It doesn’t. In Part Two, the Carter family wakes to a campsite that looks exactly as they left it—but feels entirely different. The daylight doesn’t bring clarity. It brings questions. Subtle disturbances in the ground. Movement that leaves no clear trace. A growing sense that what they experienced wasn’t singular. It wasn’t alone. And then they leave. They pack up. They drive home. They return to something structured, familiar, safe. Or at least— they think they do. Because back in Tennessee, something begins again. Faint at first. Incomplete. A voice forming in the dark—not quite right, not fully there, but trying. Learning. Reaching for something familiar. The woods didn’t contain it. Distance didn’t stop it. And whatever it is… It’s still figuring them out. What You’ll Hear in Part Two • Physical evidence that defies simple explanation • The shift from location-based fear to personal threat • The unsettling idea that mimicry can evolve • What happens when something doesn’t need proximity to continue Listen & Follow Follow The Devil Within wherever you get your podcasts so you never miss an episode. The Campsite That Wasn’t Empty — Part One

The Campsite That Wasn’t Empty — Part One Campfire Files: True Stories That Followed Them Home On this episode of The Devil Within, we begin our summer series with a story that feels familiar enough to lower your guard. A late-summer camping trip in the Smoky Mountains.
A family of four.
A quiet campsite just far enough off the main trail to feel private—but not isolated. The kind of trip thousands of families take every year. Until something shifts. At first, it’s subtle. Easy to dismiss. A sound in the woods. Movement that could belong to anything—wind, animals, the natural rhythm of a forest at night. But then the patterns begin to break. The sounds don’t move the way they should. The silence arrives at the wrong moments. And then— A voice. Calling from just beyond the firelight. Using a name it shouldn’t know.
Sounding exactly like someone already inside the tent. Not similar. Not close. Exact. As the Carter family settles into their tent for the night, what waits outside doesn’t rush. It doesn’t reveal itself. It listens. It studies. It repeats. And slowly, the realization sets in: This isn’t something passing through. This is something paying attention. Part One builds toward a moment that changes everything—the understanding that whatever is outside the tent isn’t just making noise… It’s communicating. And it knows exactly who it’s talking to. What You’ll Hear in Part One • A real-world report of voice mimicry in a wilderness setting • How environmental “patterns” help identify when something is wrong • The psychological shift from dismissal to awareness • The moment a familiar voice becomes something else entirely Listen & Follow Follow The Devil Within wherever you get your podcasts so you never miss an episode. The Devil's Ledger - Week of June 15th

The Devil’s Ledger | Week of June 15th, 2026 This week on The Devil’s Ledger, we begin with something that feels almost surreal—the New York Knicks are World Champions. A long-awaited moment for a franchise and a fanbase that has carried decades of hope, frustration, and belief. From the Canyon of Heroes to living rooms across the country, this is more than a title—it’s a moment etched into the mythology of New York sports. The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week A moment in time that may not have moved the way it should have. We revisit Game 3 of the 1999 Eastern Conference Finals, when Larry Johnson stepped to the line for one of the most iconic plays in Knicks history. But for those who were there, the memory isn’t just the shot—it’s what happened right before it. A strange thinning of sound. A collective pause. A sense that something had aligned just long enough for the outcome to land exactly where it was supposed to. Was it pressure? Adrenaline? Or something harder to explain? On The Devil Within We launch a brand-new summer series: Campfire Files: Stories That Follow Us Home These aren’t distant legends or secondhand stories. These are grounded, firsthand accounts that begin in the places we trust the most—campgrounds, lakes, beaches, and vacation homes. We start in the Great Smoky Mountains, where a family trip turns into something far more unsettling. What begins as a quiet weekend in the woods slowly reveals something that doesn’t behave the way it should—and doesn’t stay where it started. We’ll be here all summer, exploring encounters that begin in familiar places and follow people long after they leave. On Criminal Mischief Carolyn Ossorio returns with another sharp, unsettling look at the human condition—where ambition, envy, and pressure collide in ways that feel all too recognizable. These are the kinds of stories that happen more often than we’d like to admit—and still manage to surprise us every time. On The Culture of Criminal Cool Season One has wrapped, but the story may not be over. There are whispers of additional material, extended interviews, and possibly even new conversations with Adam Diaz. Nothing confirmed yet—but enough to keep your attention. On The Slippery This week’s episode dives into the disturbing case of Dr. Thomas Weiner, once one of the most respected oncologists in Helena, Montana. What begins as the story of a trusted medical figure quickly unravels into something far darker, centered around a patient treated for over a decade for a disease they never had. As the investigation deepens, the image of a respected doctor begins to fracture—revealing patterns that raise troubling questions about trust, oversight, and how something like this could go on for so long. This Week in Horror A new film out of Norway taps into one of the oldest and most enduring myths: Kraken Strange behavior in marine life. Unexplained deaths in deep water. And the suggestion that something ancient has resurfaced. It’s a return to elemental horror—vast, unknowable, and just beneath the surface. What We Built... And What We Buried: Episode Twelve - The Study That Never Ended

What We Built... And What We Buried | The Study That Never Ended On this episode of The Devil Within, we close out Season Five—What We Built… And What We Buried—with one of the most disturbing and consequential chapters in American medical history: the Tuskegee Syphilis Study. What began in 1932 as a government-backed effort to study the progression of untreated syphilis was, at least on the surface, framed as something useful—even beneficial. Hundreds of poor Black men in rural Alabama were offered free medical care for what they were told was “bad blood.” But they were never told the truth. As the study continued, the men—many of them sharecroppers with limited access to education, healthcare, or economic mobility—were observed, tested, and subjected to painful procedures under the belief they were being treated. They weren’t. Then came the turning point. By the 1940s, penicillin had become a proven cure for syphilis. It should have ended the study. It should have saved lives. It didn’t. Instead, treatment was deliberately withheld—for decades. More than 400 men were left to suffer the full progression of the disease, not because doctors didn’t know better, but because they chose not to intervene. The study continued until 1972, when it was finally exposed by whistleblower Peter Buxtun and brought to national attention. The fallout was immediate—and lasting. Trust in medicine, particularly within Black communities, was deeply fractured. The doctor-patient relationship—built on transparency and informed consent—was forced into a reckoning that still shapes healthcare today. This isn’t just history. It’s a warning. What You’ll Hear in This Episode • How the Tuskegee Study began—and why it was initially justified • Who was targeted, and why sharecroppers were especially vulnerable • How misinformation (“bad blood”) was used to gain trust • The discovery of penicillin—and the decision to withhold it • The whistleblower who exposed the truth • How Tuskegee reshaped modern medical ethics and patient rights Listen & Follow If you’re listening on Apple Podcasts or Spotify, make sure you’re following The Devil Within so you never miss an episode. What We Built... And What We Buried: Episode Eleven - The Mind We Tried To Break

🎧 THE DEVIL WITHIN What We Built… And What We Buried Episode 11: The Mind We Tried to Break What happens when the most private space we have—the human mind—becomes the target of experimentation? In Episode 11, we examine Project MKUltra, a classified U.S. government program designed to explore the limits of human consciousness, behavior, and control. Born out of Cold War paranoia, MKUltra pushed beyond ethical boundaries in pursuit of one question: Can the mind be broken… and rebuilt? Through a network of secret experiments, subjects—many of them unaware—were exposed to LSD, sensory deprivation, psychological stress, and other destabilizing techniques. Records were destroyed. Oversight was limited. And what remains is only a fragment of the full story. This episode explores: • The Cold War fear that sparked MKUltra • The methods used to alter perception and behavior • The role of consent—and the absence of it • The deliberate destruction of records in the 1970s • What we know… and what may never be known Because the true horror of MKUltra isn’t just what was done— It’s that it was justified. 🎧 Listen & Follow Follow The Devil Within wherever you get your podcasts. 📺 Watch & Subscribe Full episodes on YouTube: Evio Creative 📲 Follow Instagram / TikTok / Facebook: @thedevilwithinpod 📩 Contact [email protected] Learn more about your ad choices. The Devil's Ledger - Week of June 8th.

The Devil’s Ledger | Week of June 8th, 2026 On this week’s episode of The Devil’s Ledger, we kick things off with an honest—and slightly humbling—moment: a long-overdue shoutout to the New York Knicks. Not quite back on the bandwagon… but definitely watching with a mix of excitement and regret. Then we dive into The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week—a trip to Pine Bush, New York, home of the annual UFO Fair. What feels like a quirky small-town festival quickly reveals something deeper: decades of reported sightings, unexplained aerial phenomena, and a community that didn’t deny the stories… it embraced them. On The Devil Within Season Five—What We Built… And What We Buried—comes to a powerful close with two of the most disturbing government programs ever uncovered: • MK-Ultra • The Tuskegee Syphilis Study Two vastly different operations. One unsettling truth: what happens when institutions designed to protect people begin to use them instead? On Criminal Mischief After last week’s shocking case, Carolyn returns with something a little less graphic—but no less terrifying. Less gore.
More intrigue.
Same relentless tension. On The Culture of Criminal Cool Season One wraps this week—and it hits harder than expected. The story of Adam Diaz has never been just about crime. It’s about identity, power, and the cost of becoming the persona you create. And if you’re worried about what fills that slot next week… don’t be. On The Slippery Fresh off CrimeCon Las Vegas, Scott and Nancy are back with another deep dive into deception. New con.
New victim.
And another unraveling that proves—eventually—the truth always catches up. 🚨 NEW SHOW ALERT: Forever Young 🚨 From Dr. John Layke and Dr. Payman Danielpour of the Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Group comes Forever Young—a deep, behind-the-scenes look at: • Plastic surgery • Skincare • Longevity science With hundreds of episodes already available, this is your go-to resource for everything health, beauty, and aging at the highest level. Now part of the Evio Network. This Week in Horror A new trailer has dropped from horror legend Eli Roth: Ice Cream Man A twisted, throwback slasher concept—with a brutal twist: It’s not one killer. It’s dozens. Kids—turned into something else entirely. Dark. Chaotic. And looks like a wild ride. Listen & Follow Follow The Devil Within and The Devil’s Ledger wherever you get your podcasts.

What We Built… And What We Buried: Episode Ten - The Air That Turned Against Us

🎧 The Devil Within What We Built… And What We Buried Episode 10: The Air That Turned Against Us Some dangers are immediate. Others… Become part of the air. ❄️ The Problem Early refrigeration worked. But it was dangerous: • Toxic chemicals • Explosive leaks • Immediate, visible harm A safer solution was needed. 🧪 The Solution Once again, Thomas Midgley Jr. delivered: 👉 Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) They were: • Stable • Non-toxic • Non-flammable In every measurable way: 👉 Perfect 🌫️ The Shift And so they spread. Into: • Homes • Industry • The atmosphere itself Because stability… Doesn’t always mean containment. ☢️ The Discovery High above the Earth: • UV radiation broke down CFCs • Released chlorine atoms • Began destroying ozone Not instantly. But persistently. 🌍 The Consequence The ozone layer—Earth’s shield—began to thin. What once felt invisible… Became measurable. Then undeniable. 🧠 The Response For once, the system corrected itself: 👉 Global cooperation
 👉 The Montreal Protocol
👉 Gradual phase-out of CFCs And over time… Signs of recovery. 😈 The Devil Within The Devil Within this story isn’t the chemical. It’s delay. Because by the time we understood the damage… 👉 It was already everywhere. 🔜 Next Episode Next, the pattern turns inward. Not machines.
Not atmosphere. 👉 People. 🎧 Listen & Follow 👉 Follow The Devil Within wherever you get your podcasts

What We Built... And What We Buried: Episode Nine - The Man Who Fixed Everything

🎧 The Devil Within What We Built… And What We Buried Episode 9: The Man Who Fixed Everything Some problems don’t break systems. They limit them. And in the early days of the automobile, one of those problems had a name: Engine knock. 🧪 The Solution Enter Thomas Midgley Jr.. A problem-solver who didn’t redesign the engine… He changed the fuel. 👉 Tetraethyl lead A chemical additive that: • Eliminated engine knock • Increased performance • Allowed the modern automobile to scale It worked. Perfectly. 🌍 The Spread The solution didn’t stay in the lab. It moved: • Into fuel systems • Into infrastructure • Into the global environment Because once something works… It doesn’t stay contained. ⚠️ The Cost What improved engines didn’t stay in engines. Lead entered: • The air • The soil • The human body And over time: 👉 The cost accumulated • Neurological damage • Developmental harm • A global environmental footprint 😈 The Devil Within This isn’t a story about failure. It’s about success without full understanding. Because the solution didn’t just fix the problem… It changed everything around it. 🔜 Next Episode The same mind.
A different problem. And a solution that didn’t affect the ground… 👉 It affected the sky. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

    The Devil's Ledger - Week of June 1st, 2026

The Devil’s Ledger — Week of June 1st, 2026 Happy Blue Moon. As a rare second full moon lights up the skies over Los Angeles, we take a moment to reflect—on endings, beginnings, and the strange things that seem to surface when the night feels just a little too still. And to all the graduates out there—congratulations. Wherever you’re headed next, may you do wonderful things… big and small. The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week This week, we explore the unsettling legend of Grace—a Victorian-era doll that has gone from antique curiosity to one of the UK’s most talked-about haunted artifacts. Once an ordinary toy, Grace’s reputation began in 2018 during a paranormal investigation where guests reported physical symptoms, unexplained movement, and chilling electronic voice phenomena. Since then, the doll has followed investigators from location to location, leaving behind a trail of reported disturbances, recorded voices, and growing fascination. Now, in the latest development, investigators claim to have captured a single, chilling word coming from the doll: “Burn.” Is it evidence of something attached to the artifact… or simply the power of suggestion taking hold? Either way, Grace has become something more than a relic of the past—she’s a modern legend. The Devil Within Season Five (What We Built… And What We Buried) continues with “The Man Who Fixed Everything.” This episode examines the chemist who introduced chlorofluorocarbons—CFCs—as a safer alternative to toxic refrigeration gases. At the time, it was a breakthrough. Cleaner. Safer. Stable. A solution. But what followed was something far larger—and far more damaging—than anyone anticipated. A global consequence that reshaped how we understand unintended impact, and the cost of innovation without foresight. Criminal Mischief Carolyn is back after a brief hiatus with another meticulously researched deep dive into the darker corners of human behavior. As always, this isn’t just storytelling—it’s reconstruction. The Culture of Criminal Cool We’re now up to Episode 5, and the response has been incredible. Thank you to everyone who’s been listening, commenting, and sharing. Adam Diaz is proving to be exactly what we thought—a story worth telling. The Slippery Nancy and Scott return with another hard-to-believe story of deception, betrayal, and outright grift. The kind of story that makes you stop mid-episode and ask— How did this actually happen? This show is quickly becoming a must-listen. This Week in Horror Something is shifting. Two films—Obsession and Backrooms—have taken over the box office. Both from creators who came out of YouTube. Not the traditional system. Not the usual pipeline. New voices. New instincts. And audiences are showing up in a big way. Is this a moment… or the beginning of something bigger? Watch them. Then let me know what you think. What We Built… And What We Buried: Episode Eight - The Man Who Drank Poison

🎧 The Devil Within What We Built… And What We Buried Episode Eight: The Man Who Drank Poison Some stories don’t end. They rupture. 🍷 The Event A meeting. Three men. A drink. Then suddenly— A reaction. A collapse. And a statement that would define everything that followed: “They poisoned me.” ⚠️ The Death Stanley Meyer was dead within hours. The official cause: 👉 Cerebral aneurysm • Sudden • Catastrophic • Medically consistent No poison found.
No evidence of foul play. Case closed. 🧠 The Problem Except… The story didn’t close. Because the death didn’t happen in isolation. It followed a claim that had already disrupted expectation. And when those two things collide— 👉 An unresolved invention
👉 An abrupt death The narrative doesn’t settle. It expands. 🔍 Two Realities From that moment forward, two versions exist: 1 The official explanation ◦ Medical ◦ Verifiable ◦ Complete 2 The alternative narrative ◦ Suggestive ◦ Unproven ◦ Persistent And neither one fully erases the other. 🧩 The Pattern This is how stories like this survive: • The invention is never proven • The death is explained—but not satisfying • The gap between the two becomes the story Because once belief attaches itself… It doesn’t require evidence to continue. 😈 The Devil Within The unsettling truth isn’t what happened in that restaurant. It’s what happened after. 👉 The willingness to fill gaps with meaning
👉 The need for the story to resolve in a way that feels bigger than the facts
👉 The quiet shift from what is known… to what is believed 🔜 Next Episode Next time, we move into a different kind of danger: Not ideas that may not have worked… But ideas that worked too well. 🎧 Listen & Follow 👉 Follow The Devil Within wherever you get your podcasts

What We Built… And What We Buried: Episode Seven - The Car That Ran on Water

🎧 The Devil Within What We Built… And What We Buried Episode 7: The Car That Ran on Water What if the system we depend on… was never necessary? This week, The Devil Within explores one of the most persistent—and controversial—claims of the modern era: A car powered not by gasoline… But by water. 💧 The Claim Inventor Stanley Meyer introduced a device he called a water fuel cell—a system that appeared to power a vehicle using one of the most abundant substances on Earth. Water goes in.
The engine turns.
The car moves. No visible fuel. 🎥 The Demonstrations Observers saw it. A modified vehicle—simple, exposed, almost unimpressive—running in a way that defied expectation. • No gasoline input • No obvious trick • A functioning engine And that’s all it took. Because once something appears to work… Belief follows quickly. 🧠 The Shift The story stopped being about engineering. And became about possibility. 👉 Freedom from fuel
👉 Independence from cost
👉 A system no longer controlled Because the idea didn’t just solve a problem. It erased it. ⚠️ The Fault Line But demonstrations aren’t proof. And when the questions came… They didn’t go away: • Where does the energy come from? • Does the system produce more energy than it consumes? • Can it be replicated? Because there’s a rule that doesn’t bend: 👉 Energy cannot be created from nothing 😈 The Devil Within This episode isn’t about whether the car worked. It’s about why people needed it to. Because belief doesn’t require completion. It requires just enough evidence… to begin. 🔜 Next Episode What happened next didn’t end the story. It expanded it. Learn more about your ad choices. The Devil's Ledger - Week of May 25th

The Devil’s Ledger — Week of May 25th, 2026 This Memorial Day, we take a moment to honor the true meaning behind the holiday—remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Then, in The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week, we head to Los Angeles and explore the infamous Rosenheim Mansion—better known as the “Murder House” from American Horror Story. A historic home turned horror icon, its legacy blurs the line between fiction and reality, leaving one unsettling question: does a place become haunted… simply because we believe it is? Over on The Devil Within, Season Five (What We Built… And What We Buried) continues with Episode 7—a deep dive into the legendary “car that ran on water.” Was it a revolutionary breakthrough, an elaborate hoax, or something quietly buried by industries that couldn’t afford to let it succeed? Criminal Mischief is off this week, but Carolyn returns next episode. In the meantime, don’t miss Evio Creative’s newest hit, The Culture of Criminal Cool, following the rise and fall of drug kingpin Adam Diaz. What We Built... And What We Buried: Episode Six - The Cost of Free Energy

🎧 The Devil Within What We Built… And What We Buried Episode 6: The Cost of Free Energy Not all endings look like endings. Some just… slow down. 🏗️ The Tower That Didn’t Fall Wardenclyffe didn’t collapse. It lingered. A structure: • Built • Funded • Nearly realized But no longer moving forward. 🧠 The Reality Tesla’s idea didn’t fail. It was never fully tested. Not because it couldn’t work… But because the world couldn’t support what it would become. 💰 The System Problem Electricity wasn’t just power. It was a relationship: • Producer → Consumer • Delivery → Payment • Usage → Measurement Remove the wires… And that relationship breaks. ❓ The Unanswered Question Without a meter: • Who owns the energy? • Who controls access? • How is value assigned? These aren’t engineering problems. They’re system problems. 🛑 The Withdrawal Support didn’t vanish overnight. It faded. • Delays • Hesitation • Reduced funding Until eventually… Everything just stopped. 🧬 The Afterlife of an Idea Tesla didn’t stop believing. But without proof—without a completed system—his work began to shift: • From innovation • To speculation • To myth Meanwhile, the world doubled down on wires. ⚠️ The Hard Truth Most people want this to be a story about suppression. It’s not that clean. Nothing was destroyed. Nothing was officially rejected. The idea just… didn’t continue. 😈 The Devil Within The real tension isn’t whether Tesla was right. It’s this: 👉 The world isn’t shaped by what’s possible
👉 It’s shaped by what can be supported And support requires alignment. 🔜 Next Episode From energy… to motion. A machine that claimed it could run without fuel. Stanley Meyer—and the car that ran on water. 🎧 Listen & Follow 👉 Follow The Devil Within wherever you get your podcasts

What We Built... And What We Buried: Episode Five - The World Without Wires

🎧 The Devil Within What We Built… And What We Buried Episode 5: The World Without Wires What if electricity didn’t need wires at all? Not improved.
Not optimized. Eliminated. ⚡ The Idea At the turn of the 20th century, the world was building a system: • Power plants • Transmission lines • Meters • Control Electricity had become something that could be measured… delivered… and billed. And then came Nikola Tesla… With a different vision. 🌍 The Disruption Tesla wasn’t trying to improve the grid. He was trying to replace it. A world where: • Energy moves through the air • The Earth itself acts as a conductor • Power is accessed—not delivered No wires.
No infrastructure.
No clear point of control. 🏗️ Wardenclyffe On Long Island, Tesla began building it: Wardenclyffe Tower A massive structure designed to: • Transmit energy wirelessly • Use the Earth as part of the circuit • Prove that electricity could exist everywhere… simultaneously This wasn’t theory. It was being built. 💰 The Collision Backed by J. P. Morgan, the project had momentum. Until the scope became clear. Because wireless communication was one thing. Wireless power was another. ❓ The Question As the vision expanded, one problem emerged: Where do you put the meter? Not a technical issue. A structural one. Because if energy can’t be measured…
It can’t be monetized. 🛑 The Shift Funding slowed.
Support faded.
Construction stalled. The tower wasn’t destroyed. It just… stopped. 😈 The Devil Within This isn’t about suppression. It’s about something more uncomfortable: 👉 Ideas don’t survive because they’re possible
👉 They survive because they fit the system And this one didn’t. 🎧 Listen & Follow 👉 Follow The Devil Within wherever you get your podcasts

The Devil's Ledger - Week of May 18th

🎧 The Devil’s Ledger Week of May 18, 2026 Spring is here—and summer isn’t far behind. Another packed week across the Evio Creative Network, with new stories, new episodes, and a look at both the past… and what may be waiting at the end of it. 👁️ The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week The End of the Green River Killer News broke that Gary Ridgway—one of the most prolific serial killers in U.S. history—is now receiving end-of-life care. Operating for decades around Seattle, Ridgway targeted vulnerable women, ultimately confessing to 48 murders—though the true number may be higher. What made Ridgway especially disturbing wasn’t just the scale of his crimes… It was his ability to disappear into ordinary life while carrying out systematic, calculated violence. And if there is such a thing as justice beyond this world? Dante may have already decided his fate. 👉 The Seventh Circle of Hell—Violence
👉 Submerged in the river of boiling blood, Phlegethon
👉 Depth determined by the severity of the crimes For Ridgway? You can probably guess how deep that goes. 🔥 On The Devil Within What We Built… And What We Buried This week, we explore the genius—and the unfinished vision—of Nikola Tesla. A man who attempted something radical: 👉 Wireless electricity
👉 Energy delivered through the air
👉 Power, accessible anywhere And this wasn’t just an idea. The Wardenclyffe Tower was actually built in New York. So why did it stop? And what happens when an idea doesn’t fail—but simply… disappears? 💰 On Criminal Mischief With the “Hollywood” series wrapped, Carolyn Ossorio turns the page. A new case is coming. And if history is any indication… It won’t be quiet. 🎙️ On The Culture of Criminal Cool Episode Three continues the rise of Adam Diaz. Because becoming a drug lord isn’t a straight line. It’s messy. It’s dangerous. And somehow… Still just funny enough to keep you hooked. ⚠️ On The Slippery Another scam exposed. Another takedown. 👉 The victims get justice
👉 The scammers get what’s coming Scott and Nancy take you behind the curtain once again. 🧠 On Finding Me with Josh Wolf Josh is closing in on 100 episodes. And things are shifting. He’s getting closer to making the call he’s been circling for months: 👉 Professional help

What We Built... And What We Buried: Episode Four - The Fire That Never Was

🎧 The Devil Within Episode 4: The Fire That Never Was If Episode 3 asked what if it worked… This episode asks: What if it didn’t? Or worse— What if we can never know? 🧪 The Missing Proof In science, the rule is simple: If it can’t be reproduced, it doesn’t exist. And Starlight never crossed that line. • No formula • No independent testing • No replication What remains isn’t proof. It’s memory. 🎭 The Demonstration Problem A demonstration shows you an outcome. An experiment proves a process. Starlight was never tested—it was shown. • Controlled conditions • Selective variables • A compelling result Enough to convince. Not enough to confirm. 🧠 The Real Question Was it real? Was it illusion? Or something that lived just long enough to convince—but not long enough to prove? Because once something exists between proof and possibility… It doesn’t disappear. 😈 The Devil Within The easy answer is suppression. But the more likely truth? It didn’t need to be buried. In a system built on verification, anything unproven is automatically contained. Not rejected. Just… never real. 🔜 Next Episode From fire… to energy. Nikola Tesla. Wireless power. What We Built... And What We Buried: Episode Three - The Man Who Defied Fire

🎧 The Devil Within What We Built... And What We Buried: Episode Three - The Man Who Defied Fire What if someone actually solved fire? Not slowed it.
Not resisted it. Solved it. This week, we step into the story of Maurice Ward and his mysterious material: Starlight. 🔥 The Claim In the early 1990s, Ward demonstrated a substance that appeared to do the impossible. A raw egg.
A white coating.
A blowtorch. And when it ended… The egg was still raw. Uncooked. Untouched. Unchanged. 🧠 The Implications If Starlight worked, it wouldn’t just be useful. It would be world-changing: • Fireproof buildings • Safer aircraft • Entire industries reshaped This wasn’t incremental. This was disruptive. 🧪 The Mystery And yet… It never entered the world. No patent.
No formula.
No independent verification. Just demonstrations… and a man who refused to share the secret. 😈 The Devil Within This episode isn’t about proving Starlight. It’s about asking a harder question: If something this powerful existed… could it ever actually be allowed to? 🔜 Next Episode We move past the demonstration… …and into the breakdown. 🎧 Listen & Follow 👉 Follow The Devil Within wherever you get your podcasts

The Devil's Ledger - Week of May, 11th

🎧 The Devil’s Ledger Week of May 11, 2026 Spring has a way of resetting everything. Not gently—but inevitably. This week across the Evio Creative Network, we explore what happens when things don’t reset… when they pause, disappear, or get left behind entirely. 👁️ The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week The Girl Who Disappeared Into Sleep This week’s story centers on Nicole Delien and a rare neurological disorder known as Kleine-Levin Syndrome. A condition that doesn’t just disrupt life… It removes you from it. • Episodes of sleeping up to 20 hours a day • Episodes lasting weeks… even months • Severe confusion, memory loss, and disorientation when awake Nicole once slept for 64 consecutive days. And when she woke up… The world had moved on without her. No cure.
No warning.
No way to predict when it will happen again. Because the real horror isn’t the sleep. It’s the missing time. 🔥 On The Devil Within What We Built… And What We Buried This season continues with a story that challenges something fundamental: Fire. A mysterious substance—called Stardust by its inventor—was said to completely neutralize heat. Not resist it.
Not slow it. Eliminate it. There are demonstrations.
There are witnesses. But there’s one critical gap: 👉 It was never tested in a controlled scientific setting So the question becomes: Was it real? Or was it something that lived just long enough to convince… but not long enough to prove? 💰 On Criminal Mischief Carolyn Ossorio wraps up her deep dive into Seattle’s elusive bank robber: Hollywood. A story that spans years… escalates in ambition… and ends the only way stories like this can: In a blaze of glory. 🧠 On Finding Me with Josh Wolf Josh keeps showing up. And it’s starting to show. The impact is real—but not simple. Growth rarely is. What started as a podcast has become something else entirely: 👉 A process

What We Built... And What We Buried: Episode Two - The Agreement

🎧 The Devil Within — Episode 2: The Agreement What happens when success… becomes a problem? By the 1920s, the world had been illuminated. Homes were wired, cities glowed after dark, and the lightbulb—once revolutionary—had become ordinary. But beneath that success, something unexpected was happening: The bulbs were lasting too long. Consumers weren’t replacing them. Sales began to flatten. And for an industry built on production, durability—once the ultimate goal—quietly became a threat. In this episode, we step inside the rooms where that problem was solved—not through innovation, but through alignment. The formation of what would become known as the Phoebus cartel didn’t just standardize production or stabilize markets… it redefined lifespan. A lightbulb, it was agreed, should last around 1,000 hours—not because it couldn’t last longer, but because it shouldn’t. And once that standard was set, everything changed. Bulbs that lasted too long were no longer celebrated… they were penalized.
Durability wasn’t improved… it was managed.
Failure wasn’t avoided… it was engineered. This wasn’t a conspiracy.
It was a system. And once that system worked… it didn’t stay contained. Because the real story isn’t just about lightbulbs. What We Built...And What We Buried: Episode One - The Immortal Bulb

🎧 The Devil Within — Episode 1: The Immortal Bulb What if the limits we accept… were never really limits at all? In a small fire station in Livermore, California, a lightbulb has been burning—almost continuously—since 1901. It hasn’t been replaced. It hasn’t failed. It has simply… remained. At first, it feels like a curiosity. A relic from a different time. But the longer you sit with it, the more uncomfortable the question becomes: If something built over a century ago can still work today…
why don’t we expect things to last anymore? In this episode, we step into the early days of electric light—when durability wasn’t a bonus, it was the goal. When engineers built for endurance, not replacement. And when the idea of something lasting decades wasn’t unusual… it was expected. But somewhere along the way, that expectation changed. Not suddenly. Not obviously. But deliberately. Because when a product lasts too long… it stops being a product—and starts becoming a problem. This is where the story shifts—from invention to intention. From progress… to something else entirely. 🎯 Follow & Listen 🎧 Follow The Devil Within wherever you get your podcasts

🎧 The Devil’s Ledger — Week of May 4 A new week across the Evio Creative Network—and this one comes with a shift. From a chilling story out of Japan that blurs the line between routine and horror… to the launch of an entirely new direction for The Devil Within… to a brand new show diving deep into the myth and reality of criminal power—this week is about one thing: What we choose to see… and what we quietly bury. 👁️ The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week A disturbing story out of Asahiyama Zoo raises a question that lingers long after the headlines fade. Not because of the violence. But because of how seamlessly it fit into the world around it. A place designed for wonder. For control. For observation. And a reminder that sometimes the most unsettling thing… isn’t what happened. It’s how easily it could be hidden. 🔥 On The Devil Within — Season 5 Begins We’re entering new territory. Season Five, What We Built… And What We Buried, steps away from blood and possession… and into something quieter—and arguably more dangerous: Our resistance to change. This season explores the moments where innovation collided with power… and lost. What They Created in Boggy Creek: The Fouke Monster - Part Two

🎧 The Devil Within Episode 2: What They Created in Boggy Creek Once the sightings began to repeat… The town made a decision. They stopped waiting. They went looking. Episode Two shifts from encounter to response, as the people of Fouke take matters into their own hands—organizing search parties, entering the woods, and attempting to impose structure on something that refused to be understood. But the deeper they went… The less they found. No body. No capture. No resolution. Only signs. And silence. As the story spreads beyond Fouke, it begins to change. What was once uncertain becomes defined. What was once incomplete becomes narrative. And with the release of The Legend of Boggy Creek, the legend takes on a life of its own—one that no longer belongs solely to the people who experienced it. Because once a story escapes its origin… It doesn’t just grow. It transforms. And sometimes, the most unsettling question isn’t what people saw in the woods… But what was created afterward.🔥 On This Episode: • Organized hunts and the failure to find answers • The limits of control in an uncontrolled environment • Media amplification and narrative distortion • The cultural impact of The Legend of Boggy Creek • How unresolved events become lasting belief systems 🔗 Listen + Follow 🎧 Listen on Apple Podcasts & Spotify 📺 Watch full episodes on YouTube (Evio Creative) 🌐 Visit: https://eviocreative.com 📲 Follow for clips, updates, and behind-the-scenes: Instagram & TikTok: @thedevilwithinpod 🔥 Support the Show Get early episodes, ad-free listening, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content: 👉 https://patreon.com/TheDevilWithinPodcast 📣 The Usual CTA’s If this story got under your skin… good. The Seige of Fouke: The Fouke Monster - Part One

🎧 The Devil Within Episode 1: The Siege of Fouke There are places where the night doesn’t feel empty… It feels occupied. In the spring of 1971, the small town of Fouke, Arkansas, began experiencing something that didn’t fit within the boundaries of the natural world its residents knew so well. What started as scattered sounds in the woods—heavy, deliberate movement where none should exist—quickly evolved into something far more unsettling. Because it didn’t stop. It didn’t pass through. It stayed. And then… it got closer. In Episode One of The Devil Within, we explore the earliest encounters with what would come to be known as the Fouke Monster. Through firsthand accounts, environmental context, and the now-infamous encounter at the home of Bobby Ford, a pattern begins to emerge—one defined not by chaos, but by control. Something large. Something deliberate. Something that chose when to be seen… and when to disappear. But the most disturbing part? It crossed the boundary. Because once something moves from the woods… to the house… It stops being a story. And becomes something else entirely. 🔥 On This Episode: • The geography and psychology of Fouke, Arkansas • Early reports and the formation of a pattern• The Bobby Ford encounter — and why it changed everything • Behavior that doesn’t align with known wildlife • The moment fear becomes expectation 🔗 Listen + Follow 🎧 Listen on Apple Podcasts & Spotify 📺 Watch full episodes on YouTube (Evio Creative) 🌐 Visit: https://eviocreative.com 📲 Follow for clips, updates, and behind-the-scenes: Instagram & TikTok: @thedevilwithinpod 🔥 Support the Show Get early episodes, ad-free listening, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content: 👉 https://patreon.com/TheDevilWithinPodcast 📣 The Usual CTA’s If this story got under your skin… good. The Devil's Ledger - April 27th

🎧 The Devil’s Ledger Week of April 27 Welcome back. Hope everyone had a great week. From graveyards to digital ghosts… this week’s stories don’t just cross boundaries— They erase them. 🕯️ The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week This week’s story starts where most stories should end… in a cemetery. In Pennsylvania, authorities uncovered a case of repeated grave desecration—mausoleums broken into, vaults opened, and human remains removed over time. Not impulsively. Not randomly. But methodically. Dozens of bodies disturbed. Generations of the dead… handled like objects. But as disturbing as that is, it’s not the part that lingers. Because alongside it is something quieter… and arguably more unsettling: The rise of what some are calling digital grave robbing. AI recreating voices. Faces. Personalities. The dead—brought back not symbolically, but functionally. Used in media, content, even advertising… sometimes without consent. It forces a question we’re not ready to answer: At what point does preservation become violation? 🐊 This Week on The Devil Within We head deep into the American South for a two-part series on the Fouke Monster—a swamp-dwelling cryptid out of Arkansas tied to a pattern of sightings that refuses to fade into myth. This isn’t just about something in the woods. It’s about proximity. Because whatever people were dealing with in Fouke… it didn’t stay out there. It came closer. 🏛️ On The Ides of April A new series begins on the assassination of William McKinley—a moment remembered less for the presidency it ended… …and more for the one it created. Because waiting in the wings was Theodore Roosevelt. This is the story of a single moment that reshaped the trajectory of American power. 🕵️‍♀️ On Criminal Mischief Carolyn Ossorio continues her deep dive into Hollywood—the Seattle-based bank robber who somehow became both criminal and folk hero. This week: the rise, the myth, and the reality behind the legend. Because the truth… Is always less cinematic. And more dangerous. 🎙️ On Finding Me Josh Wolf hit a few bumps last week. But he keeps showing up. And that’s the story. Follow Finding Me every weekday—because growth isn’t clean, and it isn’t linear… but it’s real. 🕶️ On The Slippery The newest Evio show is off to a strong start. Each week, hosts Nancy and Scott break down a new case involving scammers, grifters, and the people who thought they could get away with it. They didn’t. Catch up now and stay current. 🎬 This Week in Horror A major release from Warner Bros. Pictures: The Mummy, directed by Lee Cronin (Evil Dead Rise) and produced by James Wan and Jason Blum. This isn’t a remake—it’s a reinvention. A body horror take on the classic legend, following a family terrorized by their daughter after she returns… eight years after going missing. Grotesque. Violent. Uncomfortable. Exactly what you want. 📣 The Usual CTA’s If something in this episode stuck with you… Follow The Devil’s Ledger wherever you listen so you don’t miss next week.

What Was Made Here: The Legend of The Honey Island Swamp Monster, Part Two

Episode Two: What Was Made Here Every legend eventually reaches for an explanation. This episode challenges it. In Episode Two, we move beyond sightings and into something far more complicated — origin, adaptation, and intention. You’ve heard the story: A train derailment. Animals released into the swamp. Time, isolation, and evolution doing the rest. It’s neat. It’s plausible. And it might be completely unnecessary. Because the real question isn’t how something got there… It’s how something has remained. As we explore the long-term effects of isolation, environmental adaptation, and behavioral evolution, a different picture begins to emerge — one where elusiveness isn’t accidental… it’s developed. Where withdrawal isn’t fear… It’s strategy. And where the absence of evidence doesn’t mean nothing is there… It may mean something has learned how not to be found. Because if something understands its environment — and understands you within it — then every sighting stops looking like an accident. And starts looking like a choice. 🔥 On This Episode: • The myth of the train derailment origin story • Environmental adaptation and isolation theory • Behavioral patterns that suggest awareness • The difference between hiding… and choosing not to be seen • Why the lack of evidence may not mean what we think it does🔗 Listen + Follow 🎧 Listen on Apple Podcasts & Spotify 📺 Watch full episodes on YouTube (Evio Creative) 🌐 Visit: https://eviocreative.com 📲 Follow for clips, updates, and behind-the-scenes: Instagram & TikTok: @thedevilwithinpod 🔥 Support the Show Get early episodes, ad-free listening, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content: 👉 https://patreon.com/TheDevilWithinPodcast 📣 The Usual CTA’s If this episode got under your skin… good. Something in the Water: The Legend of the Honey Island Swamp Monster

🎧 The Devil Within Episode One: Something in the Water There are places that don’t just exist… They endure. In Episode One of The Devil Within, we enter the dense, shifting landscape of Honey Island Swamp — a place where visibility is unreliable, sound is suppressed, and movement feels… negotiated. It’s an environment built not for discovery, but for concealment. And in a place like that… Something could exist without ever needing to be fully seen. This episode lays the foundation of one of America’s most persistent cryptid legends — the Honey Island Swamp Monster. Through firsthand accounts, environmental analysis, and the now-infamous 1974 footage captured by Harlan Ford, we begin to examine a pattern that refuses to go away. Not because it’s proven. But because it won’t disappear. Witnesses describe something massive. Upright. Always at a distance. Never aggressive. Never chasing. Always withdrawing — but not in panic… in control. And that detail changes everything. Because if what people are seeing isn’t reacting… Then maybe it’s aware. 🔥 On This Episode: • The geography and psychology of Honey Island Swamp • The 1974 footage and why it still matters • Consistent witness patterns across decades • Sensory anomalies: sound, smell, and silence • The unsettling implication of controlled withdrawal 🔗 Listen + Follow 🎧 Listen on Apple Podcasts & Spotify 📺 Watch full episodes on YouTube (Evio Creative) 🌐 Visit: https://eviocreative.com 📲 Follow for clips, updates, and behind-the-scenes: Instagram & TikTok: @thedevilwithinpod 🔥 Support the Show Get early episodes, ad-free listening, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content: 👉 https://patreon.com/TheDevilWithinPodcast 📣 The Usual CTA’s If this episode got under your skin… good. The Devil's Ledger - Week of April 20th

🎧 The Devil’s Ledger Welcome back. This week, we dive straight into something unsettling… and end with something big. 👁️ The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week: The Miniwashitu A story out of North Dakota — where winter isn’t just a season, it’s a presence. The Miniwashitu isn’t something you see clearly. It’s something you feel. A shifting, ancient force tied to old traditions, said to emerge at the exact moment winter begins to loosen its grip. No dramatic entrance. No clear form. Just silence.
A different kind of quiet.
And something moving where nothing should be able to move. Livestock disappear. Tracks appear in frozen ground. And then… it’s gone. Spring follows. Always. Which raises the question:
Is it a story that explains the changing seasons… or something that causes them? 🔥 Across the Evio Universe 🎙️ The Devil Within

The Beast of Bladenboro - Part Two: The Creature That Science Couldn't Explain

🌑 Episode Two: The Creature That Science Couldn’t Explain At some point, the fear changes. It’s no longer about what’s out there. It’s about what’s watching. 🔥 In This Episode: The escalation from night attacks to broad daylight encounters Evidence suggesting intelligence beyond animal behavior Organized hunts involving over 100 armed men The moment hunters finally see it—and fire The creature’s impossible response 🔫 The Encounter Six men.
Clear shot.
Fifty yards. A bullet that should have ended it. Did nothing. And then— It smiled. Before turning, calmly, and walking into the river. Gone. 🧠 The Shift This wasn’t just a predator. It was something that: Studied human behavior Avoided capture deliberately Manipulated fear Chose when—and how—to be seen 🌊 The Disappearance Six weeks. Dozens of animals. Multiple witnesses. And then— Nothing. No tracks.
No bodies.
No explanation. 🎯 The Takeaway Some mysteries don’t fade. They stop. The Beast of Bladenboro: Part One - The Vampire of Bladenboro County

🎧 The Devil Within The Beast of Bladenboro 🩸 Episode One: The Vampire of Bladenboro County It begins with silence. A kind of silence that doesn’t belong in a place like Bladenboro, North Carolina. A farm.
Three dogs.
Gone—overnight. No struggle.
No blood.
Just small, precise puncture wounds… and bodies that should have contained something that was no longer there. 🧠 In This Episode: The first documented attacks in January 1954 Veterinary analysis confirming complete exsanguination The emergence of a pattern too precise to be random Eyewitness reports of a creature that didn’t move like any known animal The growing realization that this wasn’t natural predation 🧬 The Pattern Every kill the same. Healthy animals No defensive wounds No blood—anywhere Not feeding.
Not hunting. Something else. 👁️ The First Sightings A creature described as: Dog-sized… but wrong Front legs longer than the back A cat-like face Eyes that didn’t just reflect light—but seemed to hold it And movement that wasn’t running… But flowing. 🎯 The Takeaway This wasn’t chaos. EVIO Creative Presents - The Last Walk: The Assassination of Olof Palme, Part One

🎧 The Ides of April — The Last Walk Episode 1: The Most Dangerous Social Democrat in the World On a cold February night in 1986, Olof Palme walked home from the cinema without security — a decision rooted in principle… and one that would cost him his life. In Episode One, we trace the life of a man who became one of the most dangerous voices in global politics. Born into privilege, shaped by his experiences in America, and hardened by conviction, Palme rose to power — and used it to challenge the world’s most powerful institutions. He condemned the Vietnam War.
He supported anti-apartheid movements.
He confronted global power structures — publicly, unapologetically. By 1986, he had made enemies across governments, intelligence agencies, and shadow networks operating beneath the surface of international politics. This is the story of how a leader becomes a target. 🔗 Stay Connected Across the Evio Universe • 🌐 Official Website: https://eviocreative.com • 📸 Instagram: @idesofaprilpod • ▶️ Watch on YouTube: Evio Creative Network If you’re enjoying The Ides of April, follow the show, leave a rating and review, and share it with someone who appreciates stories where history refuses to stay buried. 🎧 The Devil’s Ledger — Week of April 13

🎧 The Devil’s Ledger — Week of April 13 This week, we begin with a return from the edge of the unknown. Our astronauts are home after their journey around the moon — a reminder of how far we’ve come… and how much we still don’t understand. And if they saw something out there… something they can’t explain… we’re listening. Back on Earth, a different kind of launch:
The Devil Within is now on Patreon.
A huge thank you to our early subscribers — you’re helping build something deeper, more ambitious, and more independent. This is just the beginning, and your feedback will shape what comes next. 👁️ The Creepiest Thing I Heard This Week A quiet stretch outside Seattle. A name that sounds like folklore: Starvation Heights. But it’s real. In the early 1900s, Linda Burfield Hazzard operated a “health retreat” that promised healing through extreme fasting. What followed was something far darker — patients reduced to skeletal forms, convinced their suffering was part of the cure… until many of them died. Bodies buried on the property. Families left without answers. And today? People still avoid certain parts of the land. Not out of respect — out of instinct. Because some places don’t forget. 🔥 Across the Evio Universe 🎙️ The Devil Within
A two-part series on The Beast of Bladenboro — a canine-like predator that terrorized North Carolina. Livestock. Pets. Drained of blood. Witnesses include veterinarians, law enforcement, and locals who saw something they couldn’t explain. Vampire? Cryptid? Something else? 📜 The Ides of April
We begin a new series on the life and assassination of Olof Palme. A public killing. A global web of enemies. And a mystery that remains unsolved decades later. 🕯️ Taboo Treasures
Still dark. And getting darker. 🚨 Criminal Mischief
Carolyn continues her deep dive into “Hollywood,” the Seattle bank robber who somehow earned a Robin Hood reputation… despite keeping every dollar. 🎤 Finding Me with Josh Wolf

And the truth is… there’s always more. More details that don’t make the cut. More cases that don’t fit the format. More questions that deserve time. That’s what Patreon is for. You’ll also get behind-the-scenes access, breaking down how episodes are built — what was found, what was left out, and what still doesn’t add up. Plus, Q&As and direct conversations, so this becomes a real dialogue, not just a one-way feed. Most importantly, this helps keep the show independent — built story by story, without compromise. The main show will always be free. But if you want more… this is where you get it. 👉 https://patreon.com/TheDevilWithinPodcast?utm_medium=unknown&utm_source=join_link&utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator&utm_content=copyLink And as always…Thank you for listening. 🔗 Join The Devil Within on Patreon Learn more about your ad choices. Voices in the Void: Part One - The Third Man in Space

🎙 Episode One: The Third Man in Space 👁 The Presence Soviet cosmonaut Georgy Grechko begins to feel something watching him. Not a hallucination. Not a passing thought. A presence. One that remains just outside his vision… but never fully disappears.🧠 The Third Man Factor Across missions and decades, astronauts report the same phenomenon: • An unseen companion • Footsteps with no source • Voices in empty modules A known psychological effect on Earth— But in space, it becomes something far more ambiguous. Not comforting. 👉 Observational. 🔊 Voices Without Bodies Apollo astronauts hear structured “music” on the far side of the Moon. Others report: • Whispering voices • Rhythmic tones • Sounds with intention In a vacuum—where sound cannot exist. 🎯 Episode One Takeaway The mind does not go quiet in space. It adapts. And in that adaptation, it may begin to perceive things we don’t fully understand. 🎧 Follow The Devil Within wherever you listen so you never miss an episode.

The Pope Lick Monster - Part Two: The Spreading Shadow

🌑 Episode Two: The Spreading Shadow At first, it was just one place. One bridge. One legend. But that’s no longer the case. Because what researchers—and law enforcement—have begun to uncover is far more unsettling: The Pope Lick Monster isn’t alone. 🧬 In This Episode: Evidence suggesting multiple creatures operating simultaneously Expansion of sightings across railroad crossings and multiple states Cases involving cell phone mimicry and digital voice replication The emergence of coordinated hunting behavior Scientific findings pointing to a previously unknown species 📡 The Evolution What began as simple mimicry has become something far more advanced. Voices pulled from memory. Voices pulled from technology. Even entire conversations recreated with terrifying accuracy. Victims aren’t just being called. They’re being targeted. 🌍 The Expansion Railroad lines. Isolated crossings. Places where escape is limited and timing is everything. The pattern is clear: This isn’t random. It’s strategic. And it’s spreading. 🎯 The Takeaway Some predators adapt to survive. Others adapt to hunt better. And this one… Is learning. 🎙️ Follow & Stay Connected Follow The Devil Within on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, and subscribe on YouTube for full episodes and exclusive content. 📱 Socials Instagram: @thedevilwithinpod Instagram: @idesofaprilpod Instagram: @taboo_treasures YouTube: Evio Creative Network Website: eviocreative.com 🚨 Network Call to Action If you’re enjoying The Devil Within, explore the full Evio Creative Network: 🎧 The Ides of April — history’s most consequential moments, told cinematically🎭 Criminal Mischief — unforgettable characters behind real crimes🎤 Finding Me with Josh Wolf — daily accountability and real-time growth🕯️ Taboo Treasures — the darkest stories behind rare artifacts Follow, subscribe, and share your favorite shows. 🔥 Final CTA If this episode stayed with you—share it. The Pope Lick Monster: Trestle of the Damned

The Pope Lick Monster 🌉 Episode One: The Trestle of the Damned It starts with a bridge. A steel trestle stretching across a dark Kentucky valley—built for trains, not for people. And yet… people keep finding their way onto it. Late at night.
Alone.
Drawn there by something they can’t quite explain. For decades, the Pope Lick trestle has been the site of documented deaths—not random accidents, but eerily consistent incidents involving people who should have known better. Experienced outdoorsmen.
Railroad workers.
Law enforcement. All ending up on the tracks. All at the wrong moment. All claiming, in some form or another… That something called them there. 🧠 In This Episode: The history of the Pope Lick railroad trestle and its pattern of fatalities Eyewitness descriptions of a humanoid, horned creature The creature’s most disturbing ability: vocal mimicry Cases where victims were lured using voices of loved ones The phenomenon of psychological manipulation overriding survival instincts 🗣️ The Calling Voice Survivors describe it the same way: A voice in the dark. Familiar.
Personal.
Impossible. Calling your name. And even when you know something is wrong… You keep walking. 🎯 The Takeaway This isn’t just a creature that hunts. It’s a predator that understands us. And uses that understanding against us. 📱 Socials • Instagram: @thedevilwithinpod • Instagram: @idesofaprilpod • Instagram: @taboo_treasures • YouTube: Evio Creative Network • Website: eviocreative.com 🚨 Network Call to Action Explore the full Evio Creative Network: 🎧 The Devil Within — where folklore meets documented reality
