The Dubfeat Variety Hour

What initially launched during a feverish time of creativity during the COVID-19 Pandemic between Thomas Zaccheo and Damien Stewart, Dubfeat moves to critique and analyze movies of all sorts. Two movies enter the ring, one comes out on top. Both will have similarites as well as big differences. The topics will bounce around on occasions, but one thing that will stick around is the theme of movies.

Damien and His Nieces Talk STRANGER THINGS

Send us Fan MailMy nieces and I have bonded over Stranger Things since it premiered in 2016, with Kassidi becoming the mega-fan among us. Around the holidays, Stranger Things aired its final episodes of the series. They paired each episode cluster with each holiday, leaving the finale to air on New Year's Day. After many rewatches by all of us, it was only natural for us to see the final episode on the big screen. It came with some good and some bad, and we were all bummed to see the show finally come to an end. As we went through the motions of the finale, we took some time to reflect on our favorite moments in the show and reflect on this final season.

The Penguin With Luis and Jason

Send us Fan MailHey folks! We're finally back! The Penguin demonstrated some greatness (but had some flaws) and wrapped up Oz Cobb's rise to mob kingpin mid-November. After the superb limited series spin-off from The Batman finished its run, it was only natural for the Three Musketeers to return to talk about it. Luis, Jason, and I talk about some other movies like The Substance, Videodrome, The Good Son, and Dune: Prophecy. Sit back and enjoy us dissecting The Penguin. It may sound like some trash talk, but we swear we really did enjoy this show!

In A Violent Nature Vs. Longlegs ft. Tom Zaccheo

Send us Fan MailWe're finally back and we got ourselves a DUBFEAT! Tom and I recently made time to watch both In A Violent Nature and Longlegs. With the help of some social media comments, we determined that both of these films invoke some polarizing viewpoints in addition to our take on them. Take a listen and let us know what you think about these two films. Also, the commercial sponsors are back up, too! Enjoy the THREE commercials throughout the pod.

Dubfeat Shorty: Requiem For A Dream & The Panic In Needle Park

Send us Fan MailA new format (sorta) arrives today on the Dubfeat! Here is a Dubfeat Shorty, where I do a quick recap of two movies I've seen, shoot the stuff about any new movies I've seen, and just dip my toes into what the podcast is about. Enjoy!

A Dubfeat MWIII LAN Party: The COD Pod

Send us Fan MailSo after an unfortunate, unwanted, but necessary hiatus from podcasting, DUBFEAT (and the whole gang of participants) has returned full force! The dudes and I ( Luis, Jason, Damien, and Tom) have continually talked about doing a LAN party once  everyone was officially on Call Of Duty: Modern  Warfare III. Once we pulled the trigger, so to speak, it only seemed fitting that we rant video games after.  We kick off this episode with our personal origin stories to the world of Call Of Duty as well as this franchise as a whole. Additionally in this episode,  we nerd rant, we hypothesize ideas for this game, and we do some collective wishful thinking as to what should come of/in the future for Call Of Duty.Grab a seat and/or grab a controller.  Load up COD and/or play us in the background. Throw on your headphones and submerse yourself in our rantings and/or some Multiplayer Mosh Pit. Either way, take a listen and enjoy! It feels good to be back! Also, don't forget to follow our page on instagram @dubfeatmoviereviews and leave a comment on what was your introduction to Call Of Duty!

    IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT/UPDATE!

Send us Fan MailTo all of those wondering (and/or those still listening), new things are coming soon! Delays, delays, delays, but we're on the mend and starting up this new year with more creativity. We have a pod in the bag that needs to be edited and I have intentions of many movie reviews in the next coming weeks. Life has been hitting hard the last couple of months, but it's time to get back to it. Thanks again to all the listeners who still tap in. As always, keep your ears peeled for new content soon!-Damien

    Hellraiser Vs. Talk To Me

Send us Fan MailSPOILERS AHEAD! More so spoilers for Hellraiser, but not as much for Talk To Me.Initially planned for today's viewing were two older movies. About Schmidt and Limelight were on the queue, but in the spirit of Halloween rapidly approaching, I've decided to flip those into two horror movies. One's a classic and one's brand new. Hellraiser spawned a million sequels and spin offs while Talk To Me enters the ring of horror-dom, taking the genre by storm.  About Schmidt and Limelight will be saved for first thing come November, but expect plenty of spooky reviews for the remainder of this month. Sit back and enjoy!Films Mentioned in this pod:-Hereditary -Come and See-Talk To Me (2023) is streamable on all rental spots and still in select theaters)-Hellraiser (1987) is streaming on Amazon Prime, but available on multiple platforms for free

An Al Pacino Dubfeat: Scent of a Woman Vs. Insomnia

Send us Fan MailWARNING: SOME SPOILERS AHEAD FOR TWO MOVIES THAT HAVE BEEN OUT FOR MORE THAN A DECADE.I'm back and with a vengeance! Originally the schtick of the this podcast was to take two feature films and compare and contrast em. Now that time has permitted me to do so, the schtick is back! Dubfeats and Dubfeats a plenty are on the way.  Today's Dubfeat is two classic Al Pacino movies, Insomnia and Scent Of A Woman. Both are exceptional representations of the massive talent Al Pacino possesses. Honorable TV/Movie mentions throughout the pod:-How To with John Wilson (2020-2023 on Max)  -What We Do In The Shadows (2019-Present on  Hulu) -Rick and Morty (2013- Present on Hulu and Max) -Oppenheimer (2023 In theaters but streaming soon!)-The Day After Trinity (1980)  -To End All War: Oppenheimer and the Atomic Bomb (2023 on Hulu)-Dead Poets Society (1989) -With Honors (1994)-The Dark Knight (2008 on Max)-Batman Begins (2005 on Max)-Tenet (2020)-Dunkirk (2017 on Britbox)-Insomnia (1997 on FreeVee) (those not noted with a streaming location are rentable on the usual spots (Amazon, Vudu, etc)Both Scent Of A Woman and Insomnia were not streaming on any specific movie/tv app, but are available for rental and purchase on all the usual spots (amazon, VUDU, etc)

    Ted Lasso Pod Talk!

Send us Fan MailCOHERENCY RETURNED! Jason, Luis, and myself have an eloquent conversation (okay fine, a semi-raunchy but still solid convo) about the great show Ted Lasso. With our combined busy schedule, it took some time for us to sit and break down Lasso, which we were all itching to do after the finale. That being said, everything wasn't as fresh, hence the playback of the the show in the background as we talked. One heavily featured episode playing (and distracting us) in this pod was Season 3 - Episode 11, Mom City, easily a top 5 contender for one of the best episodes of Ted Lasso, in addition to the Coach Beard episode, too. We attempt to dissect/understand  the writer's strike (which is at 145 days!) toward the end of the pod.  We also put our anticipation for Oppenheimer on the pod, as we were finally in a position where our schedules allowed for a group viewing. Semi-related, I was watching What We Do In The Shadows and caught a Ted Lasso nod in the show. They had a banner that said “BELIEVE” which was on a blackboard. As always, sit back or keeping moving and enjoy us breaking down one of the most feel-good shows of the last two decades.  As usual, we discuss a multitude of other shows/movies among Ted Lasso, which includes (but not limited to):Freaks and GeeksPlatonic (on Apple TV)The BoysBlue Mountain StateBreaking Bad Better Call SaulScrubsThe Dark Knight RisesThe Two Escobars (30 for 30 Documentary)Manhattan (TV Series)Judas and the Black MessiahBlack Klansman Final Note: One of the episodes related fleshing out of Ted Lasso's history was the show establishing that Lasso's father committed suicide. If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, counselors are available 24/7 to listen and support you at 988.If you or someone you know is at immediate risk of hurting themselves and you are unable to intervene, or in immediate danger because of a health condition or other situation, call 911.(No cats were harmed during the making of this podcast)Films To Be Buried With (Podcast) : https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/films-to-be-buried-with-with-brett-goldstein/id1408585620Fake Doctors Real Friends (Podcast) : https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/fake-doctors-real-friends-with-zach-and-donald/id1503559501

Sex, Drugs and Rock N Roll or: High School Memories PLUS Some TV Talk

Send us Fan MailThis pod has a long journey of malfunctioning editing software, full cutting that disappeared, convos that shouldn't be brought into the world and more! The pod came close to being shelved and thrown into THE VAULT, but I kept at it anyway. It was a little tough to cut. Jason, Luis and Myself were indulging in some beers and edibles, so when I was sober, I saw that there were about 3+ hours of audio that progressively became less coherent. This here is that last hour of coherence. After some sprucing up, cutting out plenty of crap along the way, this is what remains. We dabble in some of our favorite moments in High School, meandering into film and television as we always do. Sit back and enjoy this one, as we were heavily intoxicated OR  better yet, have a drink too, so that you can feel as drunk as we were.PS-Keep your eyes peeled. A sober convo between the three of us is coming soon!RIP to Anthony Cherenfant. An awesome friend from Jamaica High School, an awesome friend after Jamaica High School. Truly a great friend to everyone who crossed his path. You will be missed, bro.

Wrapping Up Detective Stewart VII: A BTS Convo

Send us Fan MailWhere the hell is Damien? Has Dubfeat died? Who the hell is Detective Stewart? These are all valid questions. You've heard the excuse of life and work and blah blah blah one hundred times, so without anymore excuses, The Dubfeat Variety Hour is back! The hiatus is over and (hopefully) more consistent material shall follow soon. In this episode, Tom and I break down the process of bringing the Saga of Detective Stewart to a close. It was stressful, fun, nerve-wracking, and more, but what all started on a whim during the pandemic (like this podcast) had become a long, winding, awesome journey forward. Enjoy the listen and if you haven't watched the final episode of Detective Stewart yet, do so here: https://youtu.be/aY5eJ9oSAII?si=yCISNHcDvzqho24pPS-Don't forget to listen to a word from our sponsor at the end of the pod!

Damien, Luis & Jason Make LOUD NOISES

Send us Fan MailWelcome back to another three-way pod with Damien, Luis, & Jason. Fair warning, there were edibles and copious amounts of beers involved in these recordings, so things get loud, ridiculous, but pretty typical of how things go when we all hang out.  Enjoy this madness! It goes without say, don't or do drugs & drive!

  13. 34

Nostalgia, Collecting (as always) & Video Games

Send us Fan MailWelcome back, folks. A day late and a dollar short, but here is the latest episode of the Dubfeat Variety Hour. Here Tom and I talk about the obsession that both we and the world share. We also talk about collecting things as well as video games, which go hand in hand with nostalgia. Sit back, ride the nostalgia train with us, and give this mofo a listen!https://www.youtube.com/@JamesNintendoNerdhttps://youtu.be/4rZ3Jv60XVk

From the Dubfeat Vault: Finances, Films, & Fuckery

Send us Fan MailThrough the magic of not being able to keep track of all the things we've recorded, I've found a classic episode of Tom & I ranting about working in film, studying film, and just films in general. We also talk how COVID-19 affected our finances (episode takes place toward the middle of 2020), but we also venture back into olden times of us feverishly buying used movies on Half.com. ---Films Mentioned----Guns Akimbo-Swiss Army Man-Harry Potter SeriesCheck out Daniel Radcliff in his latest movie, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story on Roku!

    Halloween *FINALLY* Ends

Send us Fan MailTom and I had all the intentions of watching Halloween Ends together, but as always life didn't let us. However, once we both watched it, we were itching to viscerate the film. SPOILER: it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. Take a listen as we dive into what we liked and what was utter garbage.Shout out to Fanboyflicks on YouTube for this solid reviews: https://www.youtube.com/@FanboyFlicksHonorary Mentions:-The Shining-The Exorcist-Dahmer-American Horror Story-The Watcher-The Exorcist III

    Damien's New Horizon

Send us Fan MailIt finally happened, folks. After bitching and moaning for the better part of a year, Damien quit his job! It was a long time in the making, it was mental health plummeting to the ground, but once I walked out those hellish doors,  it's all been easy peasy ever since. Tap into this episode for a deeper understanding as to why and how this all went down on Saturday November 12th, 2022.

Tom and Damien Shoot the Breeze: Part DeuXXX

Send us Fan MailTom and I wrap up our convo about directors and take some detours to the dirty land of pre-pubescent growth. This pod gets personal and is not for the faint of heart especially if you don't want some smutty, dirty origin stories. It doesn't make it any less funny, though! Right on brand, we end on things that grind our gears. The Travels & Tribulations of Luis, Jason, & Damien Part I

Send us Fan MailFirst things first. It was always known that it's 64 slices of American Cheese that Homer eats overnight as Burns and Smithers sneak into their home. Beer brain lapse. That being said, here is one of a few pods to follow about the many times that Jason, Luis and myself have gathered since High School. We dabble in our vacations we've taken together, some High School memory, and some safe psychedelic drug discovery in our lives. Just and FYI, we do not condone the usage of heroin or other drugs. DEFINITELY DON'T DO HEROIN KIDS! As for psychedelics, do you, just do you safely. Enjoy this drunken sit down of many more to come.DO NOT BOOK THIS AIR BNB : https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/6146124?source_impression_id=p3_1663911749_BQQfbsjArhtRwUw%2B

Tom and Damien Shoot the Breeze: Directors That Became Sucky and Other Film Talk

Send us Fan MailTom and I have done our usual; we've hung out, made movies, etc...but it's been a minute since we've been on a hot mic. We sat down recently and hashed out our grievances behind directors that start out on top, but then make some crappy flicks after the fact. Another Tom and Damien Meander Episode

Send us Fan MailThis one took so long to come out that some of the events are now out dated and irrelevant and some of the newer events of today went undiscussed. That being said, it is finally fucking here!! Tom and I catch up back in February, breaking down the last bit of 2021 and the general annoyances coming into 2022. Enjoy!

The Epic Films of Tarantino and Some More HS Stories w/ Luis and Jason Pt. II

Send us Fan MailHere we go again or rather, here we continue where we left off. Can you hear the coherency dipping? Surprisingly still intact, here are the remaining Tarantino movies as discussed by the Brain Trust that is Jason, Luis and Myself. Skip back one episode if you haven't heard that one yet, because this the second part of a two-part breakdown. UPDATE: I mentioned a girl dying in HS due to negligence. From easy research I discovered that she actually didn't die! She dealt with issues from a stroke due to the negligence of the staff, but I just wanted to clear up that she is in fact alive!https://www.nydailynews.com/news/queens-school-failed-mariya-fatima-stroke-article-1.242863

The Epic Films of Tarantino and Some More HS Stories w/ Luis and Jason Pt. I

Send us Fan MailI have been friends with Luis and Jason going on  fifteen plus years now.  One of the many interests we've shared over this time aside from beer beer and more beer is our love for Quentin Tarantino flicks. On MLK Day, being that we were all off, naturally we grabbed some beers, took some Delta-8 edibles, and let our love for Tarantino flow on our podcast microphones. Here is part one of us breaking down our love for all things Tarantino. Keep your eyes peeled; part two is coming soon!

Spider-Man: No Way Home Recap with Luis S and Jason G

Send us Fan Mail****!!SPOILER WARNING FOR SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME!!****After many moments of anticipation, Luis has finally joined the Dubfeat family. Many attempts have been made before, but it finally happened! We did our best to dive into Spider-Man: No Way Home, but we also meandered around to our travels to Vegas, California, and also some of our great times spent in Jamaica High School. We set out to break down a movie that was dear to our hearts, but due to our phenomenal friendship, we wandered into some great reminiscent times. Mostly for moral support, Jason chimes in here and there, demonstrating his lack of love for nerd culture, but his love for Tobey's Spider-Man series. Enjoy!

Halloween Sux: A Quickie Review of Halloween Kills

Send us Fan MailTom and I planned to sit down and watch this farce together but that didn’t pan out as planned. Still, our thoughts on it weren’t too far from each other’s; it was a stinker and it might’ve actually been worse than our expectations (those expectations were already very low). Listen here for my gripe on the film and the franchise as well as me reading through Tom’s issues with the terrible Halloween Kills. You can stream Halloween Kills on Peacock or see it in the theater, BUT I would recommend against that. The Hunt for NYC's Best Doughnut: Episode I w/ Ashlyn Rego

Send us Fan MailFolks, welcome to the very first episode of The Hunt for the Best Doughnut in NYC. As per our 0.5 test run episode, we realized it was time to document the trials and tribulations of our doughnut outings throughout NYC. Ashlyn and I sat down to dissect many of the doughnut spots that we've been going to over the past year and change. Sit back and relive the journey of our findings of some meh, some good,  and some exceptional doughnuts throughout New York City. Feel free to visit the spots mentioned and don't hesitate to tell us how you feel about those spots. Did we get it right? Did we miss something? Bezos in Space or How I Learned to Fund Him All The Way There: The Amazon Episode

Send us Fan MailAs Tom and I do many o' times on these podcasts, we stumble upon our feverish purchases from the website Amazon. We ponder the why billionaire Jeffrey Bezos has decided to go to space, which led to a rabbit hole of good & bad purchases, Amazon history, and flubs/successes in our long-time collection addiction. The rabbit hole continues, as we explore some lore and chaos behind the scenes of such classics as The Passion of the Christ and Apocalypse Now,  both  of which have brilliant documentaries behind them. The Hunt for NYC's Best Doughnut w/ Ashlyn: Episode 0.5 Darn Doughnuts

Send us Fan MailMy great friend Ashlyn and I have talked about documenting our dissection of the many doughnut shops that we frequent throughout NYC for quite some time. This is a first run of that experience in real-time, with literal munches on doughnuts as well as a lot of background noises happening during this recording. The recording is a little crude, as we decided to do an impromptu recording on our phones sans podcast equipment. This is more of a test of what's to come for the next one, but it works as peak into our doughnut excursions. Enjoy this one and we hope to have you back for the next one.  Here we sat down with the six, COUNT IT SIX, doughnuts from Darn Doughnuts from Bay Ridge ( we only made it through four of them). We set ourselves with the task of attempting to taste and consume all, with some success. NOTE: Since it was our first test run, technical difficulties ensued during the process, which was caught in the audio. Some has been edited out, but some has been kept in for the sake of dialogue. The subsequent doughnut podcasts will be more in a recap style of the places we've been to as well as us diving into the many notions that make up a good doughnut and doughnut spot. Supplemental video of this experience to follow hopefully soon enough, depending on technical difficulties.Featured Doughnut spot: Darn Doughnuts, 8723 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11209Instagram post of the doughnuts we consumed: https://www.instagram.com/p/CSVqGtjNQPv/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Damien and Tom Break Down the GPD

Send us Fan MailAfter a hiatus in 2021 due to work, COVID, childbirths, etc, Damien and Tom are FINALLY reunited to do what they do best; talk some shit. In this episode, we mostly discuss the pros and woes of the new handheld gaming system, the GPD, a crowdfunded portable gaming computer. If you purchased this system too and have some criticisms and/or praise, drop me a line on instagram @dubfeatmoviereviews or on twitter @damienstoit. Enjoy!

Season 2 Kickoff: Damien Catches Up With Everyone

Send us Fan MailIt's been a while and I hope you guys have missed me. I figured I'd catch you guys up on where I've been and what's been going on since the last podcast from so long ago. I ramble a bit about what I've been watching as well. Hopefully, we've been watching similar stuff! Sit back, open your ear holes, and enjoy this quickie before a slew of awesome to come!!!DISCLAIMER: I mention the COVID-19 Variant ravaging unvaccinated folks, but I neglected to mention that vaccinated folks are getting the virus, too. My point was to blame the delta's success on the unvaccinated people. That is all. Carry on and  enjoy!ALSO: I bring up the one good Nazi in the movie The Pianist. This is not to be confused with any good Nazi's existing in society today. There isn't a single one. A Deep Dubfeat Dive With Jason G

Send us Fan MailIn this episode, I host my long time High School buddy, Jason Gobardhan. We've been friends since approximately 2003, meeting as two awkward dweebs in an annoying Math class. From there, there's been many drinks, many movies, and many bonds. One of our major bonds is grunge music and film dissecting. In this episode, Jason and I recap the pandemic and dive into a handful of movies that we've seen as of late. WARNING: Some spoilers ahead for such movies as Sound of Metal, The Little Things, and The Pianist.  We meander, wander, but catch up like long-time friend do. Enjoy the show! Also, enjoy this brilliant song  we mention in the podcast by Stephen Paul Taylor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJ7JseIxgX4&ab_channel=NIKITONEAlso this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRvGZffXhfk&ab_channel=GattikusHoward

    The Angry Episode

Send us Fan MailTom and I take some time to air some grievances from this past year. Be it from weird changes to the Simpsons or projects that went awry with what seemed to be a good crew. Enjoy the show!Full disclosure, Tom and I got super busy with side projects, so forgive me for the delay of the release of this podcast. However, some good stuff came out during our busy work. One of those things is the latest Detective Stewart video! If you haven't watched it yet, here's the latest installment of Detective Stewart:https://youtu.be/2pquu7kbQNMBut wait, there's more. A teaser trailer for the finale of Detective Stewart will be dropping soon. Keep you eyes peeled! Thanks again for everyone who's been listening.

    Detective Stewart Crashes the Podcast

Send us Fan MailIn this episode, we discuss a handful of things, (Election 2020, essential workers,  our previous movie flops) but then we get sidelined by the man we've been helping make a really bad docuseries, Detective Stewart. I wasn't about it, but Tom took the time to hear him out. Please enjoy and let me know what you think. As mentioned at the beginning here, if anyone has any interest in coming on the podcast to shoot the shit, vent, etc., (we can talk about anything really, so long as it touches on film/media at some point) feel free to reach out to me or Tom on social media.NOTE: Commercials and outro song are just parody, satire, and for the sake of a laugh in the times that we need most. Thanks again for the loyal subscribers who keep listening. We've surpassed 200 listens!

    Pop Figures and Reboots

Send us Fan MailWelcome back! In this episode, we talk about sequels to the movies that we've already made and sequels/reboots in general. We also talk about sequels and reboots that never needed to be made or whether they're even necessary. The origin of a movie we almost made starts here, too! Hopefully we can eventually bring that one to light. As always, we dabble a little on our collections growing, which includes an unnecessary amount of Funko POP! figures. We also rant a bit about the pros (but mostly cons) of social media. Enjoy! If you haven't already viewed or subscribed (it’ll make our movie references to our own movies make more sense), here's the link to my YouTube channel:https://studio.youtube.com/channel/UCdX7CGFVo7duHEJMv82Q9yw/videos

    Upcoming Projects and Planetary Exploration

Send us Fan MailThis podcast was recorded back in what I believe was May, where Tom and I were contemplating different ideas for our next film project. Since then, we've filmed many different projects, aside from the ones we mentioned in this podcast. Upon putting this one together, I think the gears and inspiration have begun to roll for them, so hopefully we'll create them soon! After that discussion in the pod, we wander into a discussion inspired by one of my favorite films, Interstellar, and we hash out the pros and cons of space travel. This recording also pre-dates my viewing/reviewing of the movie C.H.U.D. (we were mid-movie when we decided it was time to record a new podcast) but I could already tell it wasn't the greatest of films. As always, sit back and enjoy the ramblings of us in this podcast!

Bill & Ted Face the Music vs. An American Pickle: A Movie Review

Send us Fan MailSPOILERS AHEAD! Take a dive into two movies I took the time to see recently. Bill and Ted Face the Music and An American Pickle. I believe these two movies were happily completed before the pandemic took a stranglehold on the world, but both would've been nice to have seen in the theater. Of course, I favor one more than the other, but I bring up many points of great elements between the two. I also take some time to elaborate on their similarities (until I pull a Seth Rogen and smoke a joint while I was recording this podcast). Anywhoozle...Sit back, relax, and enjoy the review of these two relatively new movies!Trailers for these two movies:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dng7gn7hbi4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmkxQbMtB_M

The Dubfeat Review of Jojo Rabbit and The Great Dictator (From The Archives)

Send us Fan MailInitially video recorded back in what I believe was April and then shelved because of my usual procrastination, depression, and/or busy flare-ups in this thing we call life, I've decided to pull this sucker out of the archives. That being said, excuse the crude audio as well as my 6000 umm's, beware of some spoilers, and enjoy my review ramblings of The Great Dictator and Jojo Rabbit. PS - I added the epic speech Charlie Chaplin's character gives at the end of The Great Dictator. Enjoy!Trailers for these films:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tL4McUzXfFIhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WX5L-JcGjEECheck out the video version of the review here (but to also make sense of the intro to this podcast): https://youtu.be/KWSb-w55CNw

    The Meandering/Lounge Episode

Send us Fan MailWARNING: This episode wanders and meanders like the Great Nile River. This episode was created after some coma-inducing halal food, so prepare for the open forum. We talk about this, we talk about that, stopping on some film talk, but not limiting our convo to anything truly specific. Do we talk about film and cinema? Yes. Do we talk about a lot of other random shit? Yes. Yes, we do. Sit back, get unnecessarily comfortable like us, and enjoy this episode! Also, stick around for until the end, we try something new that I think you guys will enjoy, a rapid-fire review!New t-shirt up on the Dubfeat Storefront:https://www.teepublic.com/user/the-dubfeat-store-frontDetective Stewart’s YouTube page:https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCCb3CunvgAXz5KGb1UrkaTw

    Dubfeat: Mental Health and More

Send us Fan MailBefore this episode was recorded, Tom and I took a break from recording consistently. We had gotten into a good groove, it was distracting us from all the craziness in the world, and it became a pretty routine thing. Then, we just stopped. We did a film project, we got wrapped up in this big thing called life, and fell into old feelings that this virus had exacerbated; depression and anxiety. One thing that too many don't talk about is mental health. Given the realm of things happening now in this hellish 2020, it can only make things harder for everyone. We thought we were immune, but everyone has a breaking point. Through this sit down, we learned that it is vastly helpful to talk about it or to reach out to someone. That being said, as our listeners, feel free to reach out to us on our social media pages or wherever you can to talk, vent, or whatever! Thanks again for listening guys! Music provided by: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yd5L8xPUDpQ&list=PL7pkSK1xbGD5vtXc8ouBTNiponMU8xfQ5Our Dubfeat Store Page (More products to follow soon!): https://www.teepublic.com/user/the-dubfeat-store-frontFrom NYC's website, https://www1.nyc.gov/site/mopd/resources/mental-health.page:NYC Well is your connection to free, confidential crisis counseling, mental health and substance misuse support, information and referral. Dubfeat Movie Review of Terminator: Dark Fate

Send us Fan MailAfter being forced at gunpoint, Tom finally watched Terminator: Dark Fate. It wasn't that forceful, because he's been a Terminator fan longer than I have, but after both of us got our viewings in, we took time to dissect our favorite moments. We also discuss the reprisal of  classic character roles like Sarah Connor and Lori Strode, both being actors who are returning for reboots/sequels/remakes in today's nostalgia-craved world. After, we meander the convo a bit and discuss what's recently been grinding our gears. Take a deep dive with us into one of our favorable franchises in this weeks Dubfeat movie review.WARNING: Some spoilers pop up through this podcast.Additional audio provided by: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6w6Cq3ZNUWk&list=PLbky1Uo8tP8DVkZicszACTrYKmhZG_4Avhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7S9sAALjYg&list=PLp3Sy0IWzJipxNyTBX97bHey7mVngqhd7

    Dubfeat: Retail Woes

Send us Fan MailTom and I dive into the pros and cons of meeting and working in retail for so many years of our lives. Mostly cons. We also dive into some of our worst moments dealing with ornery customers while working in retail. We bring it full circle and mention how retail has changed and has been challenging retail during the COVID-19 crisis.Sit back, relax, and enjoy another rant session with Tom and Damien.

Dubfeat: Minor Inconveniences And Movie Reviews Of Our Own Movies Pt. II

Send us Fan MailAfter Tom's wedding in February, due to COVID-19, we haven't had the opportunity to link up like we usually do. The film itch was at it's peak, but the stay-at-home orders were in full effect. In this episode, we are finally reunited, so we talk about what's been shitty minor inconveniences for us during this time.As we go through, Tom and I take a deep dive in the many great (and not so great) movies we've made over the past decade and change. We provide quick synopses for and rip em to shreds in the process. Take a deep dive as we try to humble one another as we also stroke each other's egos in this deep dive into the history works of Damien and Tom.This is the second part of us rambling about our movies, but more focused on the magic of Eclipse and the latter movies of our creations. Once again, sit back, relax, and let your ears enjoy our ramblings!*No one was harmed during the making of the podcast artwork. C.H.U.D. and They Live

Send us Fan MailWelcome to another episode of Dubfeat where I take a deep dive into classic 80's horror with these two classic films. They teeter on the unknown with sci-fi and social issues trapped within the film. I take some time to pinpoint why I watched them, what influence still flows from these films in today's films, and why sometimes an 80's flick is awesomely bad. Sit back and enjoy the quickie!Roddy PiperApril 17, 1954 – July 31, 2015John HeardMarch 7, 1946 – July 21, 2017~RIP~Happy Belated Birthday, Keith David
